Video Transcript for JR Products Propane Hose with Back Check Review

AJ: What's up, everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out this propane hose from JR products. It's going to be 20 inches long. It's going to have a type one connection on this end so it's going to be easy to attach to your propane tank. On this end, it's going to have an inverted connection.

I just want to point out what that means. This is the one we're talking about today. This is the inverted connection. You can see it's a little bit smaller than the part. You can put a wrench on it when you go to turn. This one's an NPT connection.

You can see that the threading comes all the way out to where you would put a wrench on it or where you would tie it down. This is an easy way to tell right away. Make sure you look at your regulator and make sure you got the right hose for the right regulator. The regulator we have installed on a rig 00:00:40 takes inverted connections so I'm just going to easily thread it in there. Nice and tight.

It's not coming out. Then we'll take our type one connection and just easily attach it to the propane tank. I really like the type one connection versus the other kind that fits inside because this is easier. You don't need tools or anything. You just grab this plastic part, turn, and get really tight. It's color coded for the propane so light green means they can handle 200,000 BTU per hour.

That's just how much propane it can push into your rig. That's pretty much it.It's that easy to install. Just make sure you get the right fitting for the right regulator. The propane tanks, inaudible 00:01:24, always going to be the same so just make sure you double check before you order yours. Either you got the NPT one or our inverted one here. That does it for our look at these hoses. Hope this helped.

I bought a new regulator and these 20 inch connectors, because the previous ones were short and sometimes difficult to attach. The furnace was not working with the old regulator, now it works well. etrailer.com gave me very good service and advice.

Fits and works. I need to remind myself to check eTrailer first as the amount of stuff they carry is surprisingly large, prices are right, people are knowledgeable and shipping is quick.

  • Parts Needed to Switch to Dual Propane Tank Setup From Single Tank
An auto-switching dual propane regulator would be my recommendation in this situations just because of the ease of use; something like the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator Item # 37207-31525. You can connect your existing gas line to this regulator. You'll also need 2 pigtails to connect the propane tanks to the regulator, so for that I recommend using the Propane Hose with Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 20" Item # 37207-30745. I've...

  • Recommended Automatic Changeover Regulator For An RV
Yes, I recommend the Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30395. This automatic changeover regulator eliminates interruptions by automatically redirecting LP gas vapor flow from an empty cylinder to a full cylinder. This regulator features an indicator that changes from green to red when cylinder needs to be filled. It has two 1/4" inverted flare inlets which will allow you to use two pigtail hoses like # 37207-30745 to connect to your propane tanks. The outlet is 3/8" female...

  • Replacing Winntec 6020 Regulator on RV Propane Setup
The Winntec 6020 regulator that you referenced is a low pressure regulator like what the JR part # 37207-31525 you referenced is designed to replace which will work great. The pigtail you'd need depends on the length that works best for you. # 37207-30775 is 3 feet with a back check, # 37207-30745 is 20 inches with a back check, and # 37207-30715 is 1 foot with a back check. Back checks prevent the hose from leaking in reverse basically where it attaches to the tank. It's a great feature...

  • Replacement For Winntec 6020 With Ill-Fitting Pigtail Hoses
We do not have a pigtail hose that is larger than the 1/4 inch, which is the standard size, and the Winntec 6020 is honestly something I would replace, as it has been recalled in the past. Due to this and the hoses not being available, I highly recommend going with a better quality automatic changeover regulator with standard size pigtail hose fittings: - Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30395 Then for a pigtail hose you can use any of the following, depending on the length...

  • Recommended Propane Regulator For A Tankless Water Heater To Connect To 2- 40LB Propane Tanks
I recommend the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525. This will allow you to connect to both the 40lb propane tanks using 2- Pigtail Hoses # 37207-30745. The switching valve on top of the regulator allows you to tell the regulator which tank you want it to pull from first. The window will show green until that tank runs out of propane, then it will turn red and the regulator will automatically switch to draw from the other tank. The MB Sturgis...

  • Replacement Propane Parts for a 2004 Montana RV
I can definitely help you get the parts you're needing, but I don't have a diagram showing what exact propane parts came on your 2004 Montana RV. To replace your regulator and pigtails I recommend the following parts: - JR Products Compact Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-31525 - 20" Long Propane Hose with Back Check # 37207-30745 (need 2 of these - 1 per tank) If you prefer to get everything in 1 kit we do have a few of those through GasStop, like their Emergency...
