Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Propane Hose

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products Propane Hose, like most of your propane hoses this is designed for LP or propane gas to flow through it so that you can power up your propane-powered appliances. Now when you're shopping for propane hose, there are a few things that I would recommend looking for.The first thing is obviously going to be the links, if you want it to be able to reach from point A to point B so that you can get that propane to flow through there. This is a four foot long rubber hose, so as long as your point A and point B are less than four feet from each other, this should work for you. The rubber hose construction is going to help it resist any kinks or cracking anything like that. It's got an internal diameter of three eighths of an inch, which is plenty of room for that propane to flow through there, so you should be able to run all of your propane-powered appliances at the same time without having to worry about it.The next thing that you want to look for are your hose fittings.

You want to make sure these are going to fit your current setup. There are several different kinds of fittings out there, so you want to find the ones that are going to work for you. Here we've got our three eighth inch male NPT fitting. This is what's going to connect to your regulator in most cases depending on your setup, you would want to check that. The other fitting we have here is a half inch female swivel SAE fitting.

Let me pronounced that again S-A-E fitting. That's a type of fitting here. The swivel head is going to make it very easy to get this installed. You're not going to have to trim the whole hose to tighten it down. That swivel fitting there will make it easy for you.So you do want to check to make sure that those are the fittings that you need for your setup.

We do have many different options here at etrailer.com if that's not the part that you need. Keep in mind, this hose is UL and CSA approved, so it's going to meet those quality standards. You can trust that it's going to hold up well and do the job you need it to do.And like I said, if this isn't the hose that you need, maybe it's a too long, too short, or you've got different fittings, I'd encourage you to come to take a look at our other options here at etrailer.com. Our goal is always to help you find the product that's going to solve your problem so you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products Propane Hose..

1/2" female SAE end is equivalent to 5/8" flare fitting. Used this rubber hoses 3/8" MPT to connect a regulator, then a 5/8" flare union between the 1/2" SAE swivel and an existing copper line flare fitting hard plumbed in my garage for a wall mounted propane heater.

Hose shows no signs of cracking after a year. Its shaded behind my garage so Im hoping the lack of sunlight will keep it from cracking.

So our travel trailer is 5 years old and I noticed that the main propane line coming from the manifold of the tanks into the camper was showing some rot. I thought this will be easy and simple because the camper is not that old. I will just call the local RV dealer and they will surely have it. Boy was I wrong! Not only was I wrong I was having a heck of a time trying to find a replacement propane line. One RV place didn't even call back after they said they would.
Luckily I stumbled onto these fine folks right here at etrailer! I definitely look forward to doing more business with them. Thanks for saving the day! Ken.

no issues with performance and durability.

My first time ordering from here, but I will buy again. The order was packed and ready for shipment the same day. I chose to have it shipped the cheapest way and still got it in 4 days (USPS) and mail doesn’t move Sunday. Anyway, I tried buying this propane hose in many big box stores locally and even a few farm stores. Could not find it with a 1/2” swivel flare fitting, unless I wanted one 15’ long. They had what I needed. Camping World didn’t have it either

by:

Worked perfectly.

by:

I ordered a 4-foot hose as an exact replacement for an old, cracked hose. The hose I received was a 5-foot hose. It's not at all what I wanted, but I had to use it. No time for a return. It doesn't look at all organized. Not happy with this part.

  • Adapter Hose Needed To Connect To A RV Propane System With A 1/2" Male NPT Fitting
The 1/2" SAE Swivel fitting on the # 37207-31465 you were looking at would require a 1/2" SAE male fitting. SAE fittings have a straight thread and require an O-Ring for a proper seal, while NPT uses its tapered thread pitch for a seal. Using the two together can lead to leaks. You should be able to find a 1/2" NPT female to 3/8" male flare fitting at your local hardware store and from there you could use a 3/8" swivel female flare fitting hose to whatever style fitting you need to connect...

  • Propane Adapter Hoses to Use as Extension for Regulator
Yes, if you are talking about the inner of a propane regulator. The 3/8" male NPT fitting on the 3 hoses you asked about and are listed below, is the most common size for a regulator. But, there are some that use other sizes so you would want to verify that is what you have. - Propane Hose # 37207-31465 - MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100383-36-MBS - MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100383-60-MBS The other ends of these hoses are 1/2" female fittings, again you would want to verify...

  • Regulator and Hoses Required for a Dyna-Glo 20000 BTU Wall Heater
According to the user manual for Dyna-Glo wall heaters, they require a propane gas line pressure of 11in WC (water column). You will need a 2-stage regulator to reach this pressure level like part # 37207-30375. This regulator comes with the POL fitting that will thread directly into the valve on your tank and you will just need a supply hose to go from the regulator to the heater. We have these hoses available in the following lengths: 12 ft - # 100040-144-MBS 6 ft - # 100040-72-MBS 5...
