The stainless steel mirror frame and black powder coated steel support bar are durable and corrosion resistant.
The mirror quickly and easily mounts to the driver's-side or passenger's-side door or front fender of your vehicle. Simply attach the hooks on the included nylon strap to the top and bottom of your vehicle's door or fender and then ratchet the strap until it is snug.
Non-scratch coating on the hooks and foam padding help to minimize vibration and protect your vehicle's paint finish.

No, you didnt get the wrong one, so rest at ease! These mirrors can be installed on the driver or passenger side simply by turning the mirror 180 degrees to face the way you need depending on which side of the vehicle it is on. As far as the difficulty in cranking it tight goes, if you feel like it is a defect or broken in some way, these mirrors do come with a 1 year warranty and the manufacturer would want to help you with that directly.

Not so good. I think there is a left and a right side. I have great difficulty getting the right side tight. I broke one an got aq replacement which I guess was the wrong thing to do

The tilting problem is still there, but Ive become used to it. I may try a different mirror in the future possibly a clip-on style. I still think the mirrors are a good product.

We have towed our camper several thousand more miles since my initial review. I stand behind what I said before. This mirror continues to do its job well. I now also do some towing with a Ford Escape. It requires very little adjusting when moving between the two tow vehicles.
