This adjustable, universal-fit towing mirror expands your field of vision so you can better see your trailer or anything else that is behind you. The ratcheting strap system gives you a snug fit that reduces mirror vibration. Because the mirror arms adjust into several shapes, it can be attached to either the driver's-side or passenger's-side mirror on a variety of vehicles. Each of the mirror's mounting arms is jointed behind the mirror so the arms pivot inward or outward, and 2 additional joints in the middle of each arm add further adjustability so you get the perfect fit.

Ksource Sliding Clips on Universal Towing Mirror

Built-in clips on the arms will grab the lip between the glass on your factory mirror and the factory housing. These clips are also adjustable to fit the thickness of your mirror housing.

Ksource Universal Towing Mirror Ratchet Diagram

The ratcheting system uses heavy-duty rubber straps to tighten the towing mirror securely over your existing mirror. A quick-release button in the middle of the ratchet lever allows you to unlock the ratchet mechanism for fast strap adjustment or easy removal of the mirror. When you install the towing mirror, use the ratchet lever to tighten the straps. When you have the straps securely on your mirror, close the ratchet covers over the ratchets to lock them in place.

A ball joint behind the mirror allows you to manually adjust the mirror face to different viewing angles. You can also turn the entire mirror face to a horizontal or vertical position - whatever works best for your application. Rubber pads on the straps protect the back of your factory mirror to prevent scratches when this mirror is installed for towing. Tools and other hardware aren't needed for installation, and the tight fit means there is no danger of losing these mirrors on the side of the road. You'll be ready to travel in minutes, and the increased field of vision will allow you to cruise the highways stress free.

Video Transcript for K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Review

Today we'll be taking a look at the K-Source Universal Clip-on Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. The wider field of view helps with changing lanes, passing, and parking. The mirror also helps you make safer turns, and makes backing up easier. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing and not the factory mirror. Our mirror's adjustable, up or down and side to side. By remembering the screw back here, we're able to adjust our mirror vertical or horizontal. We'll pull it up, realign the notches, and put it back in.

It won't interfere with the ability to fold in our factory mirrors. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. First thing we want to do is go ahead and take our straps and clip them on the end here. Now we've got 2 options here. We're going to use the ones on the outside. We've got these little tabs here that are going to clip on to the mirror housing.

Let's go ahead and put it into position. We'll take our mirror and we're going to push it in place underneath here. Just like that. Then once we have it in place, we'll come down to the bottom and do the same thing. Then we'll bring the bottom portion down and clip it on the bottom. We'll then ratchet it.

We'll open up our cover, and start ratcheting until we've been sure we got a nice, snug fit with our mirror. It comes in a quantity of one. You can pick up an additional one with the same part number for the passenger's side. That's going to complete our look at the K-Source Universal Clip-on Towing Mirror, part number KS3891.

Used these mirrors while pulling my travel trailer 3700 miles through 6 states. They worked great with no vibration, no wiggle, and no readjustments. Never had to retighten them. Fit on my 2015 Chrysler T&C with no problems. 442327

Easy to put on. Large mirror great.ratchets good.i wish it stuck out more (3) inches more would be fantastic.not as much view as I would like.i have a 2006 tundra with 18ft mini lite camper trailer.view is better than without.i would like to suggest a 2x wider clamp nearest the truck because of the curvature of truck mirror .The clamping of the outside clamp is on the biggest curve of mirror and if clamped hard causes the inside clamp to pull towards coming off.( outwards) maybe a 2x wider inside strap would help.if clamps were a inch further apart would work too.i am happy with these ( i bought 2) but thought I would suggest for product to be even better than it is.maybe even a strap that would go 1/2 way on inside strap around inside of truck mirror around to hook on lip of truck mirror nearest truck body would help the slippage . My plan is to keep these and use some black duc tape to help in making me feel better of not worrying about them coming loose when driving ! Continuous improvement is my Moro ! Hope this helps. P.s. Let me know if you improve on product, I might buy them also !overall i like them and seem to be the best for me that I could find. Sorry for being long winded i am 62 125557

I had previously purchased the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror - Clamp On - Adjustable Length - Steel tow mirrors thinking the clamps that held the tow mirrors onto the vehicle mirrors were made of metal but they are made out of plastic and one broke during the first installation. Since you have to tighten the screws on the clamps everything you install them I returned them. I previously had a cheaper pair of tow mirror secured by a strap so I thought I would give these a try. In addition I prefer this type of mirror verses the tow mirrors that slide over the vehicle mirrors given these have a larger mirror surface and allow you to see a larger area. Installing these mirrors the first time takes a little bite of extra time for the initial set up. The ratchet system works great and secures the tow mirrors firmly to your vehicle mirrors. There is little to no mirror vibration and I am able to have a good view of my trailer and the cars behind the trailer. I have used these mirrors on two different trips totally approximately 700 miles. There has been no problems with the mirrors and I would highly recommend them. 449306

It has been a year since I purchased these mirrors. They still work great with hardly any vibration. I have the mirrors marked which side they go on and adjusted. All I have to do is secure them. My tow vehicle is a 2017 Silverado 1500.

Patrick, After having these mirrors on my 97 GMC for a 3500 mile RV trip they worked great. Initially I was worried that they might come off if we encountered rough roads and I attached a tether of fishing line on each mirror, but after a few miles I could see that this was of no use and detached them. I was pleasantly surprised of how steady the mirrors were at highway speeds. I highly recommend them. J.H.

I've compared these KS3891 clip-ons with at least one of the snap-on variety (KS81600), and found this clip-on product with larger mirrors, that can adjust tall or wide, offers a significantly broader view on both sides of the vehicle, which is the most important peforrmance aspect for me. However, there are installation and fit issues with my 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Series with contoured mirrors. - The passenger side mirror housing of the Ford has a slightly different shape than the driver side, causing the lower left KS3891 clamp to not fit snug to my passenger side mirror. See photos attached. While the driver side KS3891 fits tightly and parallel to my truck mirror, without movement, the left side is prone to a bit more slippage and doesn't feel as secure. The round contour of my mirrors may pose further problems given the front clamp is not fully engaged on the passenger side. I'm confident the driver side is secure, but the passenger side... will it stay on? Time will tell. - The KS3891 front clamps are thick, and make contact with the Ford mirror glass, impeding my ability to fully adjust my Ford mirrors in certain directions. - As others have noted, the upper ratchet straps are plastic (only the lower straps are rubber). Since I have to really ratchet these tightly on my rounded mirrors, seems clear to me that these will wear out sooner than later. - The upper straps make contact with the upper Ford mirror housing - see photo - and would certainly start leaving their mark if not protected. I added felt tabs to address this - a simple fix. - These never go on in exactly the same position, and are more clunky than the stylish snap-on KS81600, but ultimately, the KS3891s seem to provide the best, broadest view on both sides of the vehicle, so I'm going to stick with them, and hope they stay on securely and without vibration, especially on the passenger side. 174832

I like these mirrors and they work well for my Ford Escape that has odd shaped mirrors but my one concern is the straps that keep them attached. They have a poor design and 3 out of 4 loops to keep the straps together are missing so I've had to use electrical ties and now I have no fear of losing my mirrors as I travel. Have attached a picture to show what i had to do to make them safe for travelling. I actually did thois on all four areas and now have no concerns. This design needs to be improved on!! 399403

Product seems well-built, unfortunately it does not fit a 1997 Ford Explorer. The factory mirrors have a triangular cut-out on the lower edge, and the mounting clips are about an inch too far apart to properly engage. The mounting clips are fixed and can't be adjusted closer together, so this is going back. 93174

Item fits the bill for our extended trip to Vancover Canada from Tampa Florida. After THREE tries elseware we finally found a tow mirror system that will work on our Conversion Van (GMC). All other either did not fit , stay on or were very poor quality. I believe these will work and wear well. Thank you 88716

After having an issue with expanding the straps for initial placement on mirrors I was able to attach mirrors to vehicle. What I had to do was unattach the straps, place mirrors in position and attach mirrors by snapping/clipping into slots designated for hooks. Taking off the mirrors was just the opposite with detaching hooked ends from slots in band. Needed a second person momentarily to hold mirrors in place until adjustments were made. Mirrors held for the two hour drive from dealership to home storage location. Plan to use them for camping trip to Williamsburg Va in the next two weeks. Hope they work just as good. I had read that the mirrors were not made of material used for mirrors but that wassn't true in my case. They are REAL mirrors. As for order placement and shipping - delivered on time considering UPS doesn't reach my location until late in the evenings. Thanks for the great product and easy to order process. Unable to take pictures at this time but will send follow-up when installed for camping trip. 136615

Good quality, lots or 'reach'. Had to modify in order to fit Chevy Tahoe. The inside upper tab on the driver side had to be shortened to avoide interference with the tahoe mirror glass( the 4 tabs on the strap on mirror fit between the tahoe mirror shell and the mirror glass). A tab on the passenger side also interfered with the tahoe mirror glass. The tab would have had to be cut too short in order to avoid interference. I left it to bear on the glass putting strain on the tahoe adjustment mechanism. Both mirrors seem to be secure. 178211

I just purchased a 2015 Ford F150 XLT FX4 with the max tow package and found that there are no tow mirrors available for this pickup yet.....not even from Ford (the dealer ordered factory tow mirrors only to find that they have a different plug than what is on the pickup). I have a 5th wheel travel trailer and have to have tow mirrors so I bought these to serve the purpose until either factory or after-marker tow mirrors are available. These mirrors fit the bill and do everything I need to tow my 5th wheel TT. 205723

How is it working out for you? What engine do you have and what is the weight of your trailer? Any info you could share with me would be greatly appreciated. I havent been able to find out much online about this set up. Thanks, J.B.

These are the perfect size, just big enough to give that extra view but not too huge to be cumbersome. There's a little vibration but not enough to make them unusable. For the cost I'd say these are a great buy. 114285

These mirrors are good, but not great. I bought these because nothing else fits my 2004 Ford Expedition. They allow me to see around my trailer much better than the factory mirrors, but the have a slight vibration driving down the road. They also make a very noticeable noise from the wind going between the factory mirror and this product. Finally, one of the straps came off when I tightened it a bit too much, but didn't break. The picture below was done in humor (I took my trailer through a drive through, thought it was really funny, and had to take a picture. The picture is a good shot of the mirrors.) 424516

Of the universal towing mirrors that attach directly to the mirrors these are the ones that recommend. I have included a link to the single towing mirror options that we do have. You may want to consider one of the fender mount options like # 11650
CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror
$60.66
and # WM6600
Wheel Masters Eagle Vision Extendable Towing Mirror - Strap On - 7" Wide x 7" Tall - Qty 1
$45.95
, our other customers have had positive reviews those type of mirrors.

The mirror works great; however, the side mirrors on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee are tapered so I have to ratchet the straps really tightly to keep it from slowly slipping off. But if I put too much tension on the straps the bottom angle clamps sometimes pulled back (and off) from the face of the mirror frame. I don't think it would fall off, but it happened once and I was really anxious to get to the next exit to fix it. So the next trip I added a short bungee cord to the mix, tying a single knot to get the tension I wanted. This applies enough vertical tension to keep the angle clamps "biting down" on the the face of the mirror. With that small modification it is flawless now. 240562

I purchased these to use on a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. After I purchased the trailer (7' wide) I realized that I didn't need them. I use them anyway because I appreciate the wider field of view. At first I was worried about how tightly or loosely they would fit and if they would shake and shimmy while driving at speed (or just fall off). A needless worry as it turned out. They are easy to install (a 'ratchet' system tightens them on the mirror), and even easier to take off (single push button disables the ratchet). The rubber parts grip the car's mirror so they stay on and don't slide around. The straps that hold them on can be installed up or down. I found this to be invaluable. I have two mirrors and I installed one set of straps 'upside down' and now I know which mirror goes on the right and which the left since the 'ratchet' will always be pointed in the same direction. No more putting them on the opposite side and having to spend time readjusting them. Great mirrors and work very well. 485477

This was purchased for a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bower. The mountable space on the bottom of my mirrors are smaller than the top, which when you tighten the outside strap it tries to slide off the mirror. As a work around, I mounted the top clamps as close as I could inward and the lower clamp the only where it will fit, on the flat section outward. This re-positions the problem outside strap so it has a better mounting surface. The second problem on my vehicle is that the lower clamps interferes with the stock motorized mirror. I am currently evaluation how well my workaround will secure the product to my mirrors. If the stay put, I intend to trim the clamp slightly to give clearance so that I can adjust the stock mirrors while the tow mirrors re on the vehicle. The product is good, but fitment on a 2002 Explorer is weak. 265318

Don't often write reviews but these towing mirrors deserve our feedback. Tow vehicle is a 2005 Honda Pilot with a weight distribution hitch and anti sway bar pulling a 2007 Hi Low travel trailer at 3400 lbs dry. Extension mirrors were needed. These K Source mirrors get our positive review for good reason. Well made and very secure (always re-tighten after several minutes on the road as a precaution). Quality construction, solid materials, all parts fit perfectly. The tightening ratchet was a surprise with its precision. And the release button, well shrouded for safety, works quickly and easily. Good price and fast delivery were a bonus. Etrailer...great job. Keep the quality products coming. 8/28/13. 97571

I had a pair of strap on exterior mirrors for my 2007 Ford Ranger that I was unhappy with for a variety of reasons. The problem with my model truck is there are relatively few aftermarket accessories for it. But when I got the email talking about these clamp on exterior mirrors, I decided to give them a try. I have a winner! They went on easily and they don't vibrate. Best of all, the adjustment for the passenger side mirror only took two tries to get it just right. Of course, the driver's side mirror is right where you are sitting, so it adjusts easily with one attempt. I'm very pleased with how these turned out. I'll be using them to see around my boat when I drag it down the road. 230637

Though I have yet to use these--I will this coming weekend--I have had these mirrors in the past and they are fantastic! Not only do they let me really tighten them down to my vehicle's mirrors, but they have adjustable tabs that allow you to really be sure the mirrors are securely in place before using the wratchets to keep them in place. In addition, the mirrors themselves are large enough so that I can truly see way behind me on both sides of my trailer. I won't pull a trailer without these great accessories! I would highly recommend them! 92658

I was skeptical; however, these mirrors work great. We have a Lincoln Aviator, we did have to remove the turn signal lens from the bottom of each mirror in order to allow the grip of the tow mirror to lock in place, not a difficult thing. The mirrors hold steady at highway speeds and allow visibility along the side of our travel trailer, very pleased. Would buy again. 217603

When I first received the package it looked great! However, the instructions for installation could be much better. Furthermore, on my 2016 Grand Caravan, the mirrors are shaped in such a way that your mirror slides off, so I added additional straps and made the connections metal. These DO NOT FIT my Honda Odyssey mirrors - it seems that my mirrors are aerodynamically angled and these mirrors are meant ONLY for mirrors that are square/flat on the back. The mirrors seem to be made of quality material, well manufactured and would probably last a long time. The new ratcheting system is easy to use and appears to be well designed. I would recommend these highly and would have rated them excellent if only they would fit. Buy these ONLY if you mirrors are not like mine. 35181

Concern that this model mirror would not fit my 2016 Toyota Highlander Platinum was unfounded. They were extremely easy to attach and fit the SUV mirrors very well. Purchased for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Unfortunately there is nothing available for a custom fit mirrors for these vehicles so I purchased these generic fit ones. They work very well for the price, a little less clear than the factory mirrors however that is expected for the price. Didn't see any vibration due to wind at highway speeds. Able to see well past the trailer with these mirrors. No disappointments, very cost effective option for trailer mirrors. 653514

The tow mirror is very similar to one that I have had for about 10 years and works quite well. It is easy to attach to my existing mirror, does not vibrate or shake at highway speeds and gives me a much better view of what is happening behind the trailer. It really helps when backing the trailer into the garage or a camp spot. I paid a small, reasonable fee for shipping since my order did not meet their free shipping threshold and the order was received in just a few days - very good service. I also ordered a set of their replacement ratchet straps so I could repair my old mirror and now I have a mirror for each side of the truck. 647471

I had my doubts when I saw these as nobody ever offered mirrow extensions for my year 4Runner. These are great. Well made, strong, simple to put together and easy to adjust. Once on they are solid. Trailer delivered in 3 days. If you need mirrors, buy these. 647141

Have worked well for a year during a continuous 3 months of travel, then on and off the vehicle for shorter times. Just make sure they are tightly affixed especially during heavy rain. 647132

Great product, very sturdy, doesn’t shake around on the mirror. Installation was very easy on my 2017 Nissan Titan XD S model. I’m very pleased with this product. 647115

It took me awhile to figure out how to use the straps but once I did the mirrors went on and were very snug. My maiden voyage with my TT is tomorrow afternoon... I will be better informed on how they work later tomorrow... I couldn’t find mirrors specific for my truck so these were a pleasant surprise... THANKS! 645329

These were easy to install and provided me with the vision i needed for a slightly overwidth load on my trailer.. works great...good investment 633815

The good: these extension mirrors attach securely to our 2016 Colorado and, when adjusted give a wide view aft with minimal vibration. The not so good (for us): Our trailer is small and the standard mirrors give adequate visibility. The add-on mirrors significantly increase wind noise and decrease mileage. And they stick out so far that they need to be removed before parking in our garage. If I needed them for safety I'd use them. But I don't so I don't. 627912

Side view mirrors fit securely on my Grand Caravan. They enable me to see around my 18' travel trailer. 617526

by:

The mirrors and brackets are good. No vibration or movement up to 70mph. However, the straps are too short for the Titan XD mirrors. Used bungees instead. 616937

Do you have a question about this Custom Towing Mirror?

  • Recommended Towing Mirrors For 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
  • There are not an slip on mirrors that are confirmed to fit your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. There are some really nice universal clip on options for you to consider. My favorite is the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors - Clip On - Pair # KS3990 because I like the dual mirror and the ratcheting straps with quick release. CIPA has a similar model with a different type of strap in their Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror # 11953. If you like the single mirror, I recommend...

  • Difference Between K-Source Tow Mirrors # KS3891-2 and # KS3891
  • The difference is the quantity. The part # KS3891-2 gives you two mirrors whereas the part # KS3891 only gives you a single mirror. If you want a set of mirrors for both sides of the vehicle you'd want the # KS3891-2. Or if you need just a single mirror you'd want the # KS3891. These mirrors will fit your Dakota well. I attached an install video that shows these installed on a similar Dakota.

  • Custom Towing Mirrors to Fit 2017 GMC Yukon XL Denali
  • The K-Source Towing Mirrors # KS3891 are universal mirrors so they won't show up in our fit guide for your 2017 GMC Yukon XL even if they will fit unless we've specifically tested it on the vehicle. We have fit them on a 2016 Yukon and I've attached the video for you. The Snap & Zap # KS80920 is a set of towing mirrors designed for your Yukon. They are confirmed to fit the Denali specifically unless your mirrors have lighting that is not flush with the mirror.

  • Towing Mirrors that Fit 2011 Ford Expedition
  • For a 2011 Ford Expedition you will need to use a universal fit towing mirror since there are no custom fit options for the vehicle. I have included a link to the universal fit towing mirrors. The most popular option is # KS3891 which will fit a factory mirror that has a lip or gap between the mirror and the housing. I have linked a video review of the mirror for you.

  • Recommended Towing Mirrors for 2016 Toyota Tacoma
  • We have three options for your 2016 Toyota Tacoma, but none of them are a permanent mount or have the extra electric components. All three are very functional and easy to install/remove when not in use. Towing mirrors like you are referring to for the Tundra are a custom fit which means they are make/model/year specific and designed to fit a particular vehicle. The Tundra mirrors are not a confirmed fit for your Tacoma and we don't have custom fit mirrors for your 2016 Tacoma. We do...

  • Recommended Extension Towing Mirrors for a 1996 Ford F-250
  • I do have a set of extension towing mirrors that are confirmed to fit your 1996 Ford F-150 but the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror part # KS3891 have yet to be tested. However, as long as your factory side mirrors are between 4-1/2" to 11-1/2" tall and have an outer lip around the edge of the mirror, they will work well for you. You will need one mirror for each side of the vehicle. Another option you have is a set of custom fit extension towing mirrors that are a confirmed fit. For...

  • Recommended Towing Mirror For 2012 Nissan Armada

The mirror face measures 7-3/4 inches tall and 5-1/8 inches wide. This mirror will fit most mirrors 4-1/2 to 11-1/2 inches tall. We also have a dual-view clip-on mirror, part # 11953. This mirror works on most 7-inch to 10-inch tall mirrors.

  • I do have towing mirror options that may work for you, however, we have not had the chance to test fit the Wheel Masters Vision Plus Extendable Towing Mirrors part # WM6500 on a 2017 Honda Ridgeline yet. I do have a tip in order to help determine if these mirrors will work or not. If the door's bottom edge is more than 1-1/2 inches wide, the mirrors will not fit because it will be too wide for the clips to strap onto. If the edge is less than 1-1/2 it may fit. As these mirrors mount...

  • Comparing K-Source KS3891 and Cipa 40375 Universal Fit Towing Mirrors on 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • Both mirrors would work on your Grand Cherokee, but I always recommend the K-Source # KS3891 over the Cipa 11960 (which is our part # 40375) because of the way the mirrors attach to the vehicle's factory mirrors. The K-Source mirror uses 2 ratcheting rubber straps for a tight fit that's allows minimal vibration. Combine this with the mirror's light weight, the mirror is not going to move around, it'll stay where you put it. This is why our customers rate this mirror so highly. The Cipa...
