Hello, neighbors and friends. Steven here, with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our boat trailer winch rated at 1,600 pounds, that you can use with either a cable or a strap. Now folks, those cables or straps will be sold separately. You can pick them up here at etrailer.com. Now, this ratchet and hand winch will let you mount the handle, and then you'll be able to crank up or out.
(crank clattering) You can go free spin. (crank clattering) You can go backward or forward. (crank clattering) And again, you can use the spring-loaded lever here, and the center, you can just free spool to pull in that line or cable in or out. The thumb lock here locks the winch in place so it can't go only one direction at one time. It's got a nice rust-resistant zinc finish.
And they give you a nice 10.5 inch long end-to-end handle with a nice comfort spinner up here up top with the hard plastic, and just makes it really easy whenever you're cranking. Now the gear ratio of the winch is a 4.1:1, again rated at 1600 pounds. As far as the bottom plate, our mounting dimensions, I got about six inches overall end to end. And then when I went this direction, I got 3 7/8 inches wide. Now as you can see, these holes are oblong.
That's gonna make it a lot easier when you're mounting it on the trailer. You can move it side to side a little bit and up and down a whole lot. If you're curious, center to center, it's got about 1 3/4 inches between the top two ovals. And then from about about the center of those two to about the center of this, I got 3 1/4. So again, that's about from center to center on those measurements.
So keep that in mind when you're checking your trailer to be sure. But nine times outta 10, this is gonna fit most trailers out there. It's just a matter of where you gonna slide it around with those oblong holes to get something to match up with yours. Once again, you can use this with either a cable or a winch strap. Those are sold separately. And that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at our boat trailer winch rated 1600 pounds. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for your time. Thanks for watching. Stay safe on the water.
