Video Transcript for Flair-It PEX Female Adapter Fitting: The Breakdown

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Flare-It PEX female swivel adapter fitting. Now this RV freshwater plumbing swivel adapter is going to connect pipes and hoses in your RVs freshwater plumbing system, whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines. Now, this is going to work with your PEX pipes the old gray PB pipes and polyvinyl tubing. And this half-inch FSWV collar is going to fit tanks or pipes with a half-inch MSWV connection.

And this three-eighths of an inch barbed connection is going to fit three-eighths of an inch inner diameter hoses and tubes. And that barbed connection with this compression end means that you don't need any tools for a secure fit. Now, to install this, you are going to slide this compression end over your pipe and then you're going to get this barbed end here and you're going to work that into your pipe. Now that can take a little bit of doing. You might have to wiggle it back and forth several times and apply quite a bit of pressure to get this to slide into place.

But then once this is in your pipe, you're going to bring this compression end back down and then thread it in place, tightening it down and you're gonna have a really good, secure fit. And we have been overall very impressed with how secure the connection has been on other Flare-It fittings. And while you can install this by hand to get it tightened down, if you ever need to take this fitting out of that pipe, it's going to take a lot of effort, to the point where you might even need like a pair of vice grips or something to get that out of the pipe. So once you have this installed, you're not gonna have to worry about that connection at all. It's going to be very secure for you.

Now, one thing I will caution is that if you are working in a confined area, like a cabinet or something like that, it might be difficult to get this fitting pushed into your pipe. You might not have the clearance that you need to actually push that into place. So if possible, it might be better to try to get this into your pipe in an area that's not so confined and then get that connection made and then put it back or install it back into that space if that's possible. Now this swivel connection is going to reduce stress on your hose or pipe and the polyoxymethylene construction is very durable and resistant to stress and cracking. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.

I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Well made and easy to use. Unfortunately not the part I needed for my camper, but fixed my neighbors so all good.

Had to wait for the ordered part to be in stock. However, that is not the fault of the supplier. Part was then shipped promptly. Installed same. Satisfied with the result.
