The Thule TracRac # TH14750 is designed for compact trucks like the S-10 and is not recommended for a full size truck like your 2007 Chevy Silverado. For a side ladder rack that will work with your truck we have DeeZee rack # DZ95053 and Erickson rack # EM07708. I have linked a video review of the Erickson rack for you.
