Video Transcript for Feature Review Ford Trailer Hitch Cover

Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the Ford trailer hitch cover. This is going to be a nice accessory to have for your vehicle to show off your pride for your Ford. And also just have something to keep a placeholder in your hitch. That always helps whenever you go to replace it with something like a cargo carrier or a bike rack, a lot of times those hitches can kind of start to rust out and get kind of built up with some debris. So by having this hitch cover in there, it's going to keep that to a minimum. That way, whenever we go to replace it makes it a lot easier to get those in and out.

Also just looks cool, so why notIt's going to be made out of a stainless steel construction, so we don't have to worry about this causing any kind of rust or corrosion in our hitch. The front plate is going to also be a stainless steel with a textured matte black face plate. It is laser etched with that Ford logo that we've come to know and love. As far as the size, it is 5-1/4" long, just you can actually see that with a ruler, and then three inches tall. And the pinhole clearance, it might be a little confusing the way I had that written there, but that's basically the distance from this plate or this surface to each of those holes.

So we'll have three different options for the placement there. And that just gives you some play with how close this is going to sit to your hitch.So, first one is about 1-5/8, the second one is about 1-1/8, and then the third is 2-5/8. 1-5/8, 2-1/8, 1-5/8. This fits a two inch by two inch receiver tube, pretty standard for a lot of hitches out there. Your Class IIIs and IVs, so should be pretty easy to use.
