Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required.

This hitch-mounted bike rack lets you securely transport up to 5 bikes on the back of your vehicle. Its tapered dual arms provide excellent support for adult and child-size bikes. The anti-sway cradles securely hold your bikes during transport. Plus, the rack tilts away from your vehicle for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area.

Tapered, Dual Folding Arms

Curt premium 5-bike carrier with tapered, dual arms.

The tapered dual arms on this rack are ideal for securely carrying bikes for the whole family. The arms are 16" apart near the mast for carrying mom's and dad's bikes. The spacing between the arms then narrows to 10" at the end of the rack, making it easier to carry the kids' bikes. Because children's bikes have small frames, they often require the use of a bike frame adapter bar to span the width of dual-arm bike racks. Because the arms on this rack narrow at the end, most child-size bikes will fit without the need for an adapter.

Curt premium 5-bike carrier arms fold down when not in use.

When you're not carrying bikes, simply remove the tethered bail pin to fold the arms down. This folding design allows you to leave the carrier mounted on your vehicle when it's not in use.

Anti-Sway Cradles

Curt premium 5-bike carrier anti-sway cradles.

Anti-sway cradles with rubber straps help to hold your bikes securely on the rack. The straps secure each bike frame to the cradles in 3 spots - 2 on the top tube and 1 on the downtube - to help prevent bike-to-bike and bike-to-car contact. And, the cradles rotate to grab your bike frames at optimal angles. Grooves in the cradles keep your brake lines from getting twisted or pinched.

Tilting Mast for Easy Access to Cargo Area

Curt premium 5-bike carrier tilts down for easy access to your cargo area.

Getting into your rear cargo area is easy. Remove the tethered bail pin at the base of the rack. Then lift the spring-loaded, T-shaped handle on the back of the mast to release the rack from its upright position.

Built-in bar at the base of the Curt premium 5-bike carrier.

A horizontal bar at the base keeps the mast from pivoting too far forward and holds it in place while you access your cargo area. When you raise the mast back up, the T-shaped handle will snap back into place. Then simply reinsert the pin and clip to secure the mast in its upright position.

Tie-down rung on the mast of the Curt premium 5-bike carrier.

A built-in rung on the back of the upright mast provides an anchor point for a stabilizing strap or cable lock (each sold separately) to keep your bikes' handlebars and wheels from moving during transport. Simply thread the strap through the rung and through your bikes' wheels to immobilize them. You can also use a cable lock in conjunction with the stablizing strap to secure your bikes to the rack.

Anti-Wobble Hitch Pin

Threaded hitch pin and shank prevent rattle and wobble of the Curt premium bike rack

The included threaded hitch pin helps to keep the rack from moving and rattling around inside of your vehicle's hitch by pulling the shank tight to the side of the receiver.

Video Transcript for Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Folding and Tilting five bike rack. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. It's part number is C18065. This Curt bike racks going to be the perfect solution for transporting just about any style of two wheeled bike that you've got. As you can see, the first thing that really stands out .. You pull the pin up here at the top, is going to be our dual cradle arms.

As you can see they're nice and wide up here at the front, that's going to accommodate even the largest frame bike. Then they really taper down here in the back, this gives us a great opportunity to mount maybe a women's frame bike, child's bikes, or even some of those hybrids or some of those other ones that don't have a lot of space between the seat down tube and our front most connection point. Here at the top, let's do a couple of quick measurements. We'll go from the outside of the bar to the outside of the bar, we've got about 14 inches here. Once we get down to our smaller taper, it's almost in half, it's now about 7 3/4 of an inch form the outside of that bar to the outside of that bar. With that pin I had pulled earlier, that easily allows us to move our rake up into position. We'll slide the pin through and secure it on the other side with the attached inaudible 00:01:31.

It's pretty tight right now; it's a brand new rack, we just got it out of the box. It'll loosen up a little bit over time. Another thing that we'll note while we're here, you're going to have adjustable cradles, these cradles we can move them in or out slightly. As you can see, it's not the easiest thing in the world to move the cradles, which is good. That's going to prevent your bikes form sliding forwards and back as you're heading down the road. Each cradles going to have either a single strap or a dual strap, just depending on where our bikes oriented.

The dual strap gives us our anti sway cradle. Our down tube will come right up through here, and with this tight it's really going to eliminate that swaying back and forth, which is going to help to prevent that bike to rack, or maybe bike to bike contact as we're heading down the road. Then on each of our cradles we're going to have the upper tube strap as well. If you take a look right down the cradle itself you see these little grooves, there's ridges in here provides little grooves, those are reflect for allowing our brake cables, our lines, from falling right down in those grooves and keep them from getting scrunched. Everything's going to work fine when we get where we're going. As you can see, each cradle arms also going to be equipped with a reflector right here on the end.

That does a great job of altering anybody walking or driving by, that there's something on the back of our vehicle and just to use a little bit of caution. And other great feature of the Curt rack is that we're going to be able to fold the center mast and arms out and away from our vehicles when we don't have our bikes loaded. To do that we're just going to loosen the little T handle here, pull the clip and the pin located here in the base, and then we'll just lift up on the T handle. As you can see that's going to allow us to fold it out. It's got a nice stopping point here, so it's not going to overextend. In most cases that's going to give us all the room we need to open any kind of rear hatch or hatchback, anything like that. On your pickup trucks, as the tail gate comes down it'll probably offer a little by of interference. Check out our test fit section for some more information on that. To raise it back up we're just going to lift the mast, and we'll wait for this pin to fall back into it's hole. Okay, that's perfect there. We'll now take the attached pin, slide it right back through the hole it came out of, try to keep hold of our clip, we'll slide that in the other side here. That's going to have our pin nice and secure, but you'll notice there's still some wiggle and there's still some movement to that mast, so that's when we tighten up the small back T handle here. With that secure, all that play, all that movements gone, we're in a really nice set up ready to head down the road once we get out bikes loaded up. Here on the backside of the mast we've got a nice D loop that's going to stick out form the rack. This is going to allow us to pass through a strap or maybe a cable lock if we'd like to run that through the frame of our bike and keep everything nice and secure. Any strap or cable lock will be sold separately. Here you're going to notice that Curt's used a really nice manufacturing process. All of your edges and your seams here, those are going to be fully welded. We've got sturdy steel construction. As you can see, we've got nice widths on our plate, so they're going to hold up for long time. They fully coated it with a black powder coat finish, that's going to prevent any flaking or corrosion for years to come. Now that we've gone over the feature of the rack, let's take a look at how it's going to install in the vehicle. We'll essentially just bring our shank of the rack, and we just need to slide it into the receiver tube of our hitch. You take a look here, this is going to have a solid welded in bar that goes across. This is fully threaded all the way through, so this is going to give us the opportunity to insert our pin from the right hand side or from the left hand side. Let's just get that lined up, and you'll see the anti rattle bolt - this is going to be provided. We can place this in from the right side, which is usually do on this Surban here, or from the left side, just depending on how your vehicle is set up. In this case we've got a seven pole cover over here, and a lot of the bolts don't want to thread in, so it's nice having that option to do it on both sides. With that hand tight we'll bring in our wrench and just tighten this on down. As we tighten this it's going to draw the shank of the rack right over against the receiver tube of the hitch here. As you can see, we're not going to have any movement or any play, any noise, to deal with. We'll then come right over here to the other side. We've got the included pin, that'll slide right up in the end of that bolt, just as an extra element of security. As you can see, it's got a loop on there, all for easy removal. For loading our bikes we'll just extend out our dual cradle arms, we'll just pull the pin that we saw earlier, rotate our arms up into position. As we do this we line up our pin holes again here, and we're going to slide the same pin on through, and secure it with the catch on the other side there. As you can see, the arms are going to have a nice upswing to them, so they're angled up. This is going to help keep these rear bikes higher up off the ground, giving us additional ground clearance. We want to undo our cradle straps, with our cradles exposed we'll grab our bike, we'll place it right up onto our rack. We want to make sure that we've got the down tube of the seat on the same side as the cradle that's got the double straps. We'll then just bring our straps up and over, pull them right down on there to get a good, nice, firm hold on the bike. Then finally here at the rear we'll want to do our anti sway cradle, and we can always slide the bike up. The cradles are fully adjustable, as we talked about, so we can custom fit those into any of the nooks and the crannies that we might have there on the rear. As you can see it's nice and secure. We're ready to load up a couple more. Here on our test course we'll start by going though the slalom; this is going to show us the side to side action. This simulates turning corners or evasively maneuvering. Once we get to the alternating speed bumps we'll see the twisting action. This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole, or driving over uneven pavement. Once we get to the full speed bumps we'll see the up and down action. This will be just like driving in and out of a parking lot, parking garage, or driveway. Now that we've taken a good look at the Curt bike rack and we've seen how adaptable it is to fit any different styles of bike, that's going to complete today's look at part number C18065. .

Works best for grown up bikes, but kid bikes can be troublesome given some of the crazy designs they have now days. Quality was good. 423972

We shopped around at stores and online for about 3 weeks. We wanted a good product to use for traveling and riding in the city. Curts was our best choice. It took some time for the bike rack to come to our home. Nonetheless, the company e-mailed us right away to explain and give us options. We loved that, customer service is soooooo very critical. Now the rack: Its really heavy, it comes in a big box. The bike rack was sort of challenging at first to put together. It took a little over 1 hour to put together and attach to truck. Please tighten up each and every screw "Husbands" lol lol. The direction was somewhat helpful. Maybe, having each piece with a number diagram on paper could help. What really helped was the actual video on the website after all pieces were put together. That was very helpful. Its on you tube as well. The bike rack performs exactly how the video describes it. Gave 4 stars for pulling the pens to let down the rack to enter the trunk of the Tahoe can be difficult. Those pens should have some cushion or foam for better gripping. Overall, 5 stars the quality is excellent along with the craftsmanship and sturdiness of the product. The price is definitely worth it. I received a couple of compliments. 407279

I haven't officially used this product, however I have put it on my van and here is my first impression. Overall the product is strong. The only 3 things that I can see is a problem. If you have kids with training wheels, this product wouldn't work. Bikes are to close together for training wheels. If your adult bike has a little curve or the cross bar is large, you will have a little trouble putting it on. The next thing is the bolt that allows you to access the rear hatch is a pain. How they have it set up, you need a wrench to take the bolt out just to get into the rear hatch. 501653

I was looking for a Bike carrier for my 2014 Toyota Van, & a van Hitch. I found the Tule 5 bike carrier and e-trailer w/computer search. Ordering was simple, shipping was light speed. From order to delivery was like 3 days. (Had to call a neighbor to watch for pkg. as were away for weekend) I delayed this review so as to use the carrier. I took a trip of 100 miles and the bikes touring mens and women's road secure and the trip was w/o a problem. But, did not order a bar for the women's bike and you "definitely" need one. I made do as I worked maintenance Also once at destination, the grandkids (3 girls) bikes also needs additional bars to load properly. Return trip w/2 bikes was also w/o incident. I would definitely recommend etrailer for your needs along these lines and the Tule Bike carrier. 395291

Great product. Very easy to assemble and install on the hitch. It supports the weight of five adult bikes nicely. The bikes don't bounce around much at all when I'm driving. The cap that hold on the reflector at the end of one of the arms is slightly torn, so that is a bit loose and I'm not sure how long that reflector will stay on. That is the only reason I gave this four stars instead of five. Hopefully that part can be replaced. But functionally, I cannot say enough good about this bike rack. If you are in the market for a five bike rack, this does the job nicely. The only other issue is that I ordered a locking pin so that I could secure the rack to the hitch without worrying about theft. I spoke to a rep on the phone who told me that this is what I wanted, however. However, this locking pin is not compatible with this bike rack so don't get it. Here is the wrong locking pin that I ordered: 63232 - Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - 2-5/8" Span. I haven't been able to find out if there is another locking pin that would work with this rack or not. I may keep this one to use with other equipment I have or I may return it for a refund. Either way, I'm glad I bought the bike rack and would highly recommend it to anyone. I love etrailer.com. 558408

Nice fit n finish. Easy to install. Be warned, 5 bikes would be a very tight fit. 691064

The great discount (40% off) made me look. The great function made me happy. I especially like the threaded hitch pin that really cuts down on wobble. Curt is the expert on hitches. 669889

Solid bike rack with 31 hour order to ship from etrailer.com. Installed and Recommend! Pros: - Solid construction. Should last years. I can see the rubber straps break down over time so I plan on applying UV protector for rubber (i.e. Armour All) to keep it in good shape and maximize its lifespan. The straps are solid and good quality. - etrailer customer service is the BEST! Very responsive and good communications on when shipped. - etrailer.com ships very fast. They handed it over to UPS the same day as when I ordered. Granted they are in the next state but they ship ASAP which is great. - Sienna rear hatch opens with 6-12 inches of clearance when the rack tilted back. This is nice if you need to access without removing the rack. Note you probably need to remove all bikes to make that work. Bike weight would make it hard to remove the retaining bolt. - Price as good value. - The outside 3 spots are more "narrow" meaning you can put bikes with smaller frames. Cons: - None 546423

Simple to use, works great when you have kids bikes and full size. Very pleased with this product! 475941

Product was delivered in a timely manner. I am very pleased with the quality of Curt products, especially when you compare the price to Yakima and Thule. Look forward to taking the whole family on bike outings. 345201

We like it, the only complaint is that smaller bikes can be difficult to mount due to frame design, no fault of yours. Rack is solid!

This product has brought us joy in biking as a family of 6. It can take awhile to get all the bikes loaded but the price was much lower than the Thule brand and to me it’s an ok trade off. Plus we can even open the trunk of the car with all the bikes on if we really need to...with two people. Best part was the customer service of e-trailer. 664225

- C18065

First off, Super fast free shipping and great communications! Now for the rack itself...awesome, absolutely love it. Took me 10 min to put together and 5 min to put on my truck...easy breezy...directions spot on! As for durability, you can see its built rock solid, very heavy. I love that all 5 bikes can fit on it and the straps are awesome, great multi point design for utilizing it to fit to the spot you want. Don't forget the main post has a welded loop to attach a chain lock thru all the bikes...Awesome! 522466

- C18065

The construction and assembly were both very good. Even the close section of the bars were a little too far to fit through the space inside the frame of our smallest child's bike. I solved this, however, by removing one of the plastic anchor pieces, and lashing the bike only on one side. Once she gets a bigger bike, the other anchor piece can go back on. 438458

It was going to cost $50 to rent bikes for the week in Florida, per bike, that's $150 for the week, which i was going to spend so we could ride bikes for the week. After doing some research, i decided to just buy a rack, and take our own bikes. I got this rack for like $$$. I couldn't be happier. Now i have this rack to take our bikes anywhere we want to go!! We had such a great trip and got to take our own bikes and didn't have to worry about renting some. This rack is very solid and was great for the 15 hour drive each way from Illinois to Florida and back. I only took 3 bikes on this 5 bike rack, but I believe could have easily put on 2 more. I do have 2 more small children that didn't take this trip with us, but will be traveling with me in the future, which is why i got the 5 bike rack. It is really convenient how the kids bikes fit on the narrower part. I purchased the SR0901 locking pin to go with this after researching and finding the review that said it would work. [link] it worked perfectly and gave me piece of mind my rack was secured. i also purchased this cable, RKY3850 and just used a lock i had at home to secure the bikes to the rack. I would say this rack would be better if it had the lock and cable already in it, like some of the more expensive racks. It would also be better if the tilting points were simple handles like some of the more expensive racks. The pin and clips can be a bit of a pain and take some getting used to, but they aren't that hard to work. It would just be more convenient to have handles to tilt the rack to get into the trunk, etc. The convenience of having the handles and built in cable and lock is definitely not worth an extra $150-$200 more in price in my opinion. There is also a screw handle that you have to tighten up to get the rack solid and not wiggle, you will see on the video reviews. I found that after a few hours of travel, this screw began to wiggle loose, and needed tightened. I simply checked this, and re-tightened every time we stopped for gas. not a huge issue, but i definitely think this is a design flaw. it didn't need re-tightened every time we stopped, but it usually did, about 75% of the time. Lastly, the kids bikes did not fit on very good, so i had to purchase 2 of these bike adapter bars. I bought them on [site] All in all, i think i made a very solid and affordable purchase. instead of just throwing away $150 to a rental place, now i have this rack to use anytime we want to go out of town. It is certainly not the most expensive rack and doesn't have all the fancy features that the more expensive ones do, but for me and my family, it is perfect. We are not avid bike riders and won't use it every single weekend. If you are looking for one to use every weekend, you may want a more expensive fancier Thule or such. If you are looking for one that you may use a few times per summer, etc, this is a great choice. The rack is also very solid and feels very nice. It is not flimsy. It certainly doesn't feel cheap. Curt has really made a nice product here. It looks really nice as well. It looks pretty fancy and expensive. If would definitely recommend this Curt bike rack and make this purchase again. 362578

- C18065

Needed a 5-bike rack, loved the price of this product. My wife and 3 daughters all have challenging bike frame shapes...it was a struggle the first time figuring out how to get them on. The first 2 bikes that go on are the adult bikes, then the 2 bikerack bars narrow for the last 3 bikes to go on, which is a feature I think is good for kids bikes. I will have to get at least one bike adapter bar to make my wife's bike hang level (due to it's odd frame shape). The triangular mounting pieces on the rack bars are sometimes tricky to get through the corner of a tight, small bike frame, but I was able to get 4 bikes on (haven't tried 5, because my youngest has not learned how to ride yet). The triangular plastic pieces rotate and also slide along the rack bars for even more flexibility of positioning. I like the tilt feature, works great. I like the rubber straps included, they work great. No regrets with this purchase, at this pricepoint it's all and more than I expected as far as quality and ease-of-use. 547636

Still love it! I got an adapter bar for the wife bike and that makes it much easier to load them all. Worth the investment, which is more affordable than most fancy brands.

This trailer is great! We've used it many times carrying bikes for our family of 4. This model is great for adult and kid bikes and is easy to install and use. When we first purchased it we thought it seemed to away and wobble a bit. Tightening all the screws was all it needed! Customer service was very helpful when I called to resolve this issue. 405584

Still loving it! It is a great deal for the price.

very good product at a great value from this website. Came almost entirely assembled and finished it up in a short period of time, only took two bolts and it was installed on the van. This rack however does not fit the bikes as tightly as I would have liked, but part of that is because of my wives bike being a very difficult size right between a large child's size or a small adult size. So for that reason I gave it 4 stars, but I don't think any hanging bike rack out there a way to solve this problem. We will see how it works for the rest of the summer and I will adjust the review if necessary. But i don't think you can beat this rack at this price. 541780

- C18065

Worked out great for me. Can be a little tricky determining the best way to orient the support pads for your bike. Many newer bikes can be difficult to put on due to how the frame tubes are positioned. Fortunately all but one of my bikes easily work with the rack. 384335

- C18065

Very sturdy bike rack. Use it with 2 adult mountain bikes and 2 kids bikes. Tilt is also nice with the minivan rear hatch. Little hard to put bikes up after tilted with the weight is only complaint. 256256

- C18065

Very solid product. Well constructed. Doesn't bounce around and rubber bike straps hold bikes in place very well. I'm very confident when using that nothing is going to break or come apart. Comes mostly assembled, so that's nice. Only reason for marking product down comes from the fact that it's a bit overly complicated. Still very manageable, but more complicated than it has to be. Don't expect to keep the rack on your SUV and drive around with it when not bike riding as there are three pins to remove and replace just to tilt it down to open your back hatch. Again, it's easy enough to manage, but just enough of a pain. I showed my wife the three-step procedure and she said "oh heck no!" Plan on packing a pliers with you to more easily pull lynch pins (there are several). Also plan on purchasing a socket wrench with a 3/4" socket to more easily get the main pin screwed on (using a crescent or fixed wrench will take you forever). Also, there is a really good chance that this bike rack will NOT hold kid bikes 20" and smaller. My middle kids' bike (24") barely fits. Not sure if a smaller bike would fit if you purchased an additional seat stem to handlebar adapter. 647699

Super quick delivery. I have not hauled any bikes yet but I installed the bike rack. The installation was easy and the quality is excellent. etailer has always been easy to work with. 519457

When we got the rack, the box was missing the shank (the part that goes into the hitch). A three minute call and they got one shipped out the next day. Great customer service! And great quality trailer, already used it. It is VERY solid. Worth the money, and this one is cheaper than most options for 5 bikes. I would recommend this hitch and company to anyone. 607138

  • Bike Rack for Use Behind Fifth Wheel or Travel Trailer
There are bike racks available for the rear of a fifth wheel or travel trailer, though they must be rated for such by the manufacturer because it is a far rougher ride than the rear of a standard vehicle and could result in the rack and bikes being damaged. There are no 5-bike racks such as the Curt # C18065 that can be used behind a trailer, but a similar 4-bike rack I recommend is the Swagman Trailhead # S63381. This hanging rack secures your bikes at three different points, ensuring...

  • Bike Rack That Allows Tailgate of 2017 Nissan Titan to Open
We do have bike racks that will allow you to open the tailgate of your 2017 Nissan Titan, although we have not had a chance to test the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches # C18065 on a '17 Titan to know for sure. The only way I can guarantee you will be able to use this rack and open the tailgate is to also add the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches # Y02483 The rack I do know will allow you to open the rear tailgate of your '17 Titan when it...

Yes, the Curt 5 bike rack part # C18065 that you referenced will fit in the Draw Tite hitch part # 75579 you have installed on your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan and work well. If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. • Will Five Bikes Be Too Close Together When Carried In Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack # C18065
The Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack, part # C18065 can carry 5 bikes at one time, and to answer you question, yes they will be very close to each other. You can stagger the way the bikes are loaded so they are not banging into each other. If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the...

  • 5 Bike Hanging Rack Recommendation that Has 45 lb per Bike Capacity
The weight capacity per bike for bike racks like the Hollywood Racks # HR9200 is based on the frame cradles weight capacity. The rest of the bike rack would be fine as long as you didn't exceed 175 lbs, but not the frame cradles. For a similar bike rack with a higher weight capacity you would want the Curt Bike Rack part # C18065. It has a 225 total capacity which means it has a 45 lb per bike capacity. The distance between the two arms on the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack part # C18065 at the widest point is 16" when measuring from the outside of one arm to the outside of the other. The distance between the two arms at the widest point is about 15" on center. • Lock Recommendation for Curt 5-Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Rack
Bike rack manufacturers make their threaded hitch pins/locks and threaded rack shanks uniquely threaded so you would not be able to use one brand of lock with another brand bike rack. The best solution to lock the Curt bike rack # C18065 is to use a cable lock such as # e98891 woven through the bikes/rack and the trailer hitch safety chain loops. Or you could go with a different 5-bike rack such as # HR9200 and use lock # HRLHPTC with it. If bike rack # SR2405 with lock set # A32022...

  • Adapter Recommendation for Curt Hanging Bike Rack for Carrying Women and Kids Bikes
For womens bikes and kids bikes you really need to use a frame adapter bar like part # UB01 when carrying them on a hanging bike rack. This allows the bikes to hang as level as possible since the bikes will have smaller frames with non-horizontal top tubes. What the adapter does is attach to the seat post and the steering stem to provide a wider and more level bar for the rack to grab. I attached a review video for this adapter for you to check out as well. This adapter would work...

  • Can Cradles on Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack Be Adjusted to Create More Bike Spacing
Yes, the cradles for the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack # C18065 can be adjusted along the support bars to create more space between the bikes when you aren't loading up 5 bikes. It does take quite a bit of effort to slide them along the bars (which prevents it from happening during travel) but they can be moved. Just be sure you still load the heaviest bike closest to the rear of the vehicle. I have attached a short video demonstration on this rack that you can check out as well.

  • Is the Curt 5-Bike Rack Easy to Remove and Install
The Curt Premium 5-Bike Rack # C18065 is not difficult to install and remove but it will take more time than other 5-bike racks. The reason for this is it uses a threaded anti-wobble hitch pin to lock inside your hitch that needs to be screwed in and unscrewed to install and remove the rack. If you do want to save some time and effort the better option is the Yakima RidgeBack 5-Bike Rack # Y02459, with the trade-off for the convenience the RidgeBack offers being a larger price tag. • How to Carry 5 Bikes on the Back of a 5th Wheel Trailer
Because the ride at the back of a 5th wheel trailer is so much harsher than on a passenger vehicle a bike rack would have to meet certain structural requirements to be strong enough for that application. Some racks are but most are not. There are no 5-bike racks rated and approved for use on a 5th wheel trailer but there are numerous 4-bike models. I have included a link to them for you. • Bike Rack for a 2005 GMC Yukon that is Sturdy, Tilts, and is Easy to Use
We have lots of 4-bike racks that are sturdy and easy to use. For tilting it will depend on why you need it to tilt. If you need the bike rack to tilt WITH bikes loaded then there are certain racks we need to look at. If you want a rack that tilts WITHOUT the bikes loaded then we can look at other racks. For a 4-bike model that tilts, is sturdy, and is easy to use I recommend the Saris Glide EX # SA774. This rack tilts out instead of down and was designed to tilt with or without the...

  • Hanging Bike Rack Recommendation for Front Hitch of 2011 Dodge Ram
We have 4 and 5 bike racks available that could easily fit a 2 inch front hitch. But it won't end up being the rack that would block the vision or headlights (and also airflow to the radiator). What will block those things would be the bikes. The weight of a bike rack plus 4 to 5 bikes is pretty heavy, you would want to ensure that the hitch you made is well reinforced. A hanging bike rack would have the least amount of rack in the way of the headlights/radiator/headlights. For a...

  • Can Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches Item # C18065 be Tilted with Bikes Loaded
Technically you could tilt the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches Item # C18065 with the bikes loaded. However, it will be a challenge to do so because the pin that needs to come out to tilt the rack is at the center mast and not all that easy to get to if the rack is loaded. Also it can be difficult to raise or lower the rack when loaded due to the weight of the bikes. This is going to be the case for any of the 5-bike racks.

  • Recommended Replacement Strap For Curt Premium Bike Carrier
Curt does not offer the straps for the bike rack but I do have a solution for you. I recommend the Replacement Strap, part # 853-2569. This strap measures 9-3/8 inches long and the holes measure 1 inch center to center. The only difference I could see was that the Curt strap has 9 holes in it and the # 853-2569 strap has 8, but it will work great on your bike rack.

  • Family Bike Rack for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler
If your 2015 Jeep Wrangler has a spare tire on the rear, you'll want to verify your clearance prior to buying a rack. To find this, you'll measure from the center of the hitch's pin hole to the furthest point of the spare tire. It's helpful to use a straight object to get an accurate measurement. Any bike rack you look at will need a "Distance from center of hitch pin hole to Closest Part of Rack" measurement listed in its detailed product specs of greater than the clearance measurement....

  • 5-Bike Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Carrier and Compatible Cable and Hitch Locks
You wouldn't be able to use the Swagman lock on the Curt bike carrier so what I recommend is to go with Hollywood Racks 5 bike carrier, # HR9200, and use the hitch and cable lock combination # HRLHPTC. I have included links to video reviews of both products for you. Bike rack manufacturers thread the bolts and shanks uniquely so that you can't use competitors products. There are some one-off exceptions but since they are not tested together it would not be a good idea to use them together.

  • Could Curt Bike Rack part # C18065 Clear Rear Spare of 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited
The distance from the pin hole to the back of the upright mast of the Curt bike rack part # C18065 is 10 inches. If the pin hole on your hitch measures less than that to the outside of the rear spare this rack would clear it without issue. For a 5-bike rack that has more clearance than that we have the Thule Vertex part # Y02459 which has 12-3/4 inches from pin hole to upright mast.

  • Will Frame Cradles of Curt Hanging Bike Racks Slide Around As Rack Travels
The frame cradles of the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack # C18065 fit tight enough to the arms of the rack that they would not move around while on the highway. We've sold quite a few of these bike racks and if the friction fit wasn't tight enough to prevent that we would have heard by now that it's an issue. Going with a 5 bike rack to allow you more space between racks is a great idea and with this rack you'd be able to do that without worrying about the cradles sliding together.
