I recommend using our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e48AR on your 2024 Jeep Compass. Our receiver has a matte black finish and a hidden cross tube which provides for a clean factory appearance. It also comes with a 2" opening which allows for a larger selection of hitch mounted accessories and ball mounts.

You will want to install the Curt Wiring Harness # C59496 when you install the receiver. This will provide you with a 4-way flat connector which is the most common connector found on most small trailers you might tow. It will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 should you have a hitch mounted accessory such as a bike rack which impairs the view of your tail lights on the Compass.
