The hitch was exactly as promised. I received it in a few days after I ordered it. I was able to follow the directions and install it on my Acura TL 2004 without any problems. It is very sturdy.

So far, so good. The trailer hitch is ruggedly built and I installed it myself (a 68 year-old male) with no problems. The tools required were minimal and common to most households.

Getting the plastic clips off of splash guard was the hardest part on the install. Hitch seems very well made.

Quick shipping, easy and almost perfect installation instructions. I have to cut part of the plastic cover under the trunk to fit with installed hitch. Over all the hitch is a very well and solid hitch.
WOW! What great components! I am very pleased with the fit, finish, and performance of the bike rack and receiver. Everything assembled with no problems. And like the other customer said, what a great upper body workout! This stuff is made from steel stock that is more than sufficient to support the load!

I bought a bike hitch since I could not find a bike rack that would not somehow mar the finish of the car. The hitch price was very competitive and the installation was about $75. Price may depend on the car that it is being installed on. Setting up the bike rack is very easy and I can open the trunk with the bikes on the rack. The hitch is almost unnoticeable under the car - very small silhouette. I received the hitch very quickly and the service was great. I highly recommend this product.
I picked up the Draw-Tite trailer hitch for my 2008 Acura TL...The product is excellent quality and the instructions were easy to follow and read and I recommend that you read the instructions first and not just look at it and figure it out...but it is simple to install...One note, you will need to drill two holes thru the trunk pan which is easy but you will need a 1/2 inch drill bit or 17/32 drill bit for the 1/2 bolts....this means that you will need a larger drill or one that will fit a 1/2 inch drill bit...worse case scenairo, drill what you can and file out the rest since you are only drilling thru sheet metal.....I also purchased the electrical harness as well....The instructions were ok but you need to figure out how to disconnect your connectors in the trunk which was a little bit tricky...the easiest way to figure this out is to look at the connectors on the harness that you will install and look for the small square tab that is that is on each connector which is only on the bottom...just press this little tab down and pull the connector from its mate....once you figure this out it is easy and installs in minutes....I would suggest to the manufacturer of this product to show a picture of the connectors with an arrow pointing to the tab to depress which would solve alot of headaches about figuring out how to disconnect the connections....Judging by the look of the connectors, I was looking for something on the sides or top when the tab was on the bottom of the connectors which is hard to see...that is why I recommend that you look at the connectors you are about to install to locate that one tab on the bottom to depress...other wise, great stuff...
Delivery was fast and free when coupled with bike rack.
Was able to do in driveway, drove rear tires on 3 inch high blocks of wood and had enought room to do install.
Toughest part of install was removing plastic pan under trunch.
Had to drill out 2 inner plastic rivets.
Drill got caught up in Pan because metal was so thin (surprisingly so). Had to use dremel to smooth and round holes.
After that it was a snap...total time 45 min.
Works great, but now I have to get my trunk and bumper fixed from the damage done by old Thule trunk rack...never again.
Etrailer kept me informed during the whole order process. The videos are great help.

The installation of the 1 1/4" Hidden Hitch Receiver and a wiring harness on my 2006 Acura TL went smoothly. If you are comfortable with a drill and a wrench, then you can finish the job of installing both of these in an hour. I could have done a little better job aligning the hitch to be perfectly perpendicular to the bumper. A few degrees off-axis won't hurt. Will it? Doh.
I immediately went to haul two mattresses and two box-springs strapped onto my light-weight 4x6 utility trailer behind the TL, drawing some stares as I flew (40mph) down the road. As long as I drive safely and pull <500 lbs, this rig satisfies my craving for a truck and I don't have to beg and borrow from a friend just to get a sheet of plywood!!!! Boo-rah!!!
The trailer hitch was easy to install on my Acura TL (2005). The whole process took about 1 hour and that included the wiring harness that I also ordered from eTrailer. I am very pleased with the entire process from ordering to installation. I installed the trailer hitch to tow my ATV and for general light duty use. The trailer is 6X8 and weighs about 400 lbs. The ATV weighs 700 lbs. I can tow the trailer and ATV with no problems. The car handles just fine. Again, very satisifed.
Product was super easy to install. An instruction video would be helpful though. I used the 2002 Acura RSX youtube instructions to install this hitch. One side note: you don't have to discard the plastic trunk under cover, as described in the instructions. I used a dremel tool to cut 2 slots into the cover and it slides right over the hitch (as seen in the photos). This is the 2nd draw-tite hitch I have purchased and I would recommend this product to friends and family.
The hitch was very competitively priced and it sits underneath the car and is not real visible. Installation was about $75 but can vary some based on car. I plan to use it for a bike rack. I bought a rack from Thule but the weight of the rack rests on the bumper and put dimples in the bumper. Since I didnt go far the dimples disappeared after a couple of days. Using that rack would have permanently marked the bumper. Using a hitch is painless and allows me to open the trunk with the bike rack in place.

Great solution for a light duty hitch on a car. The instructions should say to cut a notch in the plastic cover so you can reinstall it over the hitch, it was very easy to do.
Everything I purchased for this particular build (hitch, ball, wiring harness, receiver) was easy to install and has worked great. The company “etrailer.com” was a joy to buy from. Very professional..

This product was exactly as described and fit perfectly in my Acura TL. My only complaint is my package came without the 1/4 inch spacers required to mount the hitch. Customer service was great when I called to explain the issue but then I still had to wait another 4 business days to receive the spacers before I could complete the installation. I'm sure it was just a fluke and I was the unlucky one but it was still disappointing to open the package and discover that one of the crutial parts required for the install was missing. Once I received the missing parts and completed the install, the hitch did work great just as it should. I would definitely recommend shopping here. Great products for a great price.
The receiver came quickly and is good quality. The install was done within an hour (including cleaning). The instructions were very clear and the video was a helpful aid. The only issue I experienced was with drilling into the trunk. I did not have the car off the ground, which meant that I could not fit the drill and 1/2” drill bit under the car. I simply drilled a smaller pilot hole from below and used the 1/2” bit to properly size the holes from up top.
Arrived nice and quick! Unboxed and elected to watch their installation video on you tube rather than read the directions. Just easier. 15 minutes later I was cleaning up and my son had his bike rack on!!
