Question:

Does your Curt Hitch CMF 13458 and wiring harness 59236 work for the 2022 model Atlas Cross Sport... Also, I note in the wiring harness install instructions that you leave the 4 pin connector in the trunk...does that mean when in use just drape it over the rear bumper and close the hatch? Will that not harm the wires?? Thanks

For the 2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport we have the Curt hitch # C93CR as a confirmed fit and for wiring the part # C67WR. This trailer wiring harness does store in the trunk when not in use and then when needed you'd pull it out of the trunk and then shut it on top of the harness. I know this would seem like it might damage the wiring but the weather-stripping is so thick that basically it just gets squeezed by a thick rubber seal and the wiring does not get damaged in any way.

What is also great about this setup is that the 4-way isn't exposed to weather since it's inside the vehicle which prevents corrosion and also potential damage from debris from the road which is pretty common.
