Load It, Don't Scrape It!

Race Ramps trailer vehicle up ramp

Race Ramps 74" trailer assist ramps let you easily load a low-ground-clearance vehicle onto your transport trailer without damaging its front end. The ramps extend the length of the trailer's loading ramps using the built-in cutouts. These cutouts support your trailer door, letting it better match up with the ramp's surface. This allows for a more seamless transition when driving your vehicle up the incline. It also decreases the angle of approach to 5.5 degrees, which will allow you to drive onto the trailer without scuffing or scraping the front end of your vehicle.

Race Ramps Trailer Ramps with contoured surfaces for flap or fold down ramps

These ramps are designed with contoured indentations that accommodate trailer doors that have fold-down flaps. The indentations help create a smooth transition when driving your vehicle over the connection.

Ultra-Strong, Lightweight Construction with Anti-Skid Coating

Race Ramps can support low profile cars up to 6,000 pounds.

These ramps are made of ultra-strong, solid core, high-density EPS foam that won't crack or bounce. Each ramp supports 1,500 lbs - giving you a total weight capacity of 3,000 lbs. When loading your car onto a trailer, the ramps can support a vehicle weighing up to 6,000 lbs because they are only ever supporting half of the vehicle at one time.

The 74" ramps are lightweight, weighing no more than 15 pounds per ramp, so you can transport and store them with ease.

Race Ramps features a polyurea coating that allows the ramps to resist water and other automotive chemicals.

The ramps are covered with a textured coating and are flat on one side. This keeps them from skidding when you drive up on them. The coating is a hybrid polyurea compound that is resistant to water and other automotive chemicals commonly found around the garage. And although this coating is durable, it will not scratch, mark, or scrape your garage floor or the ground.

Convenient Integrated Straps

Built-in handles make Race Ramps trailer loading addist ramps easy to carry and maneuver

A built-in handle on each ramp makes maneuvering them easier than heavier steel or aluminum ramps. The ramp can also hang vertically to free up storage space in your trailer or garage.

Video Transcript for Race Ramps Combo Ramps Spec Review

Jake: Hey guys, Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the line of race ramps. These ramps are designed to get your car that might have a low clearance up into your trailer. These are going to be different from the other ramps that you might be using, whether it be steel rams or if you're using wooden blocks. These are going to make it easier, so that you don't have to lug those around, or modify the back of your trailer. One of the things I really like about these ramps is they're going to look really stylish, while being very practical. It's going to have a foam construction, so it's going to be very, very light and easy to maneuver in and out of your trailer.

And it's going to have a nice black finish to it that has a little bit of grip, so that your tires don't slip when you're pulling on in wet conditions. One really nice characteristic about these ramps, is that there's going to be different length and height ramps for many different applications. So depending on your application, you're going to need to take a few measurements to be able to figure out which size ramp will be best for you. The longer ramps are going to be for your lower cars, and then your shorter rams are going to be for those cars that just need a little bit of help to not make contact with your ramp. We do have many different sizes here at etrailer. Here's a good example of the problem we want to fix. Now you'll notice here our angle of approach without our ramps is too steep to be able to get our car in.

Without our ramps we would drag our front bumper on our trailer. To get our ramp in place, we want to set them close, and then lower our gate with the extra overhang ramp folded up, you want to set your ramp down inside this groove, and then push your ramp up to the edge of your gate, and then just fold down your last flat. Now we'll go ahead and get our car loaded up into our trailer. It's also going to help with when unloading your vehicle. When you're all finished using them, they're going to be really easy to store. With this nice convenient handle, you can hook it on to any hook that you might have in your trailer. If you want to put them upright, you have that option. We like to store our shear in line with our wheel wells because we're not using that space anyway. The integrated handles are going to be really nice, because these ramps are black, so in the summertime when the sun is hot, the ramps can tend to get a little hot to be able to hold.

So this gives you an option to be able to transport your ramps without burning your hands. The ramps are going to have a 3000 pound weight capacity when paired with two ramps, but you're going to be able to pull a vehicle that weighs 6,000 pounds into a trailer.Well guys, with that being said, that's going to do it for our look at the line of Race Ramp Loading Ramps.

Worked Perfectly for loading a car onto a garage lift. It would have been impossible otherwise the approach angle was 5.5 degrees.

After buying a new 1 car race trailer I needed to decrease the load angle for my low profile car. I've seen Race Ramps for years and decided to go with them. I've bought many parts from etrailer and I'm always happy with the price and quick shipping. They were delivered very quickly and as promised.

by:

Light weight and they work!

by:

Light weight and sturdy. Grove holds transition flap nicely. Straps on top are a nice touch for hanging from the ceiling of my trailer.

A little price, but worth it.

I marked the ramp door with pieces of painters tape so I know exactly how to center them for my car.

by:

will use these this week, should have bought these a while ago, no more making boards work, very light an fit in the back of my truck, great for low profile or lowered vehicles

these are great, keep them in my enclosed trailer, they are light weight easy to handle and make loading low ground clearance cars a breeze, also use these on my open bed trailer, great ground clearance without improvising or getting Mickey Mouse involved, should have bought these sooner, they make life easier

by:

I did my homework as to what dimensions I thought I needed for the car ramps and I guess I got lucky. I'm loading a race car with 4" clearance at the air dam and 4" clearance at the center cross member onto a typical box trailer with drop door and 16" flip at the end of the door. With these ramps and the nose of the trailer raised somewhat the car cleared every lip. The 6" long ramps are easy to handle and only time will tell if they hold up. Large stones picked up by the sticky race tires did put slight intends into the ramps but I HOPE this will only be a cosmetic issue.

by:

Super fast shipping, unrivaled customer service! When [online retailer] let me down Shawn K at etrailer.com stepped up and rushed the item out immediately in order to have it less than 48 hours later in time for race day. Not to mention their prices are cheaper than [online retailer] to boot!

by:

Bought these to replace a set of wooden ones and they are a life saver! They are light weight, so easy to move and carry. They make loading and unloading a breeze for the race car. Wish I bought them sooner. They are holding up very well so they should last a long time.

  • How to Determine Which Race Ramp with Flap Cutout is Correct for My Trailer
To best determine which Race Ramps with the flap cutout will work for you, it will be based on the height of your trailer, the angle the door lowers to, and the height accommodation you will need for your vehicle. The # RR-TR-7-FLP will have a trailer door height of 4.75 inches off the ground and a ramp length of 74 inches. The # RR-TR-9-FLP has a trailer door height of 7 inches off the ground and a ramp length of 95 inches. I have linked both of the Race Ramps with the Flap Cutouts...

  • Lift Ramp Suggestion For Loading Corvette into Car Transporting Trailer
Given the low ride height of a Corvette, going with the longer # RR-TR-9-FLP would be the better choice as you'd be less likely to high-side the vehicle when it enters the trailer. Both ramps have the same 5.5º approach angle but you'd have a 2-1/4 inch height gap between the trailer door and the top of the ramp if the # RR-TR-7-FLP were used. This would be more likely to scrape the underside of the vehicle than the smaller gap with the # RR-TR-9-FLP.

  • How To Load And Unload A 2007 Mazda Miata MX-5 Without Scraping
The longer the ramp, the less likely it is to drag or scrape. Ideally we have the perfect mixture of length and angle. I think using the ramps you were looking at # RR-RACK-4 won't be enough length and too much angle. The ramps you were looking at are only 27-1/2 inches long and have a 8.8 degree angle. That's a little too much angle over too short of a length so for sure prevent any scraping. That being said, having a 5.5 degree angle on 74 inches of ramp like on these # RR-TR-7-FLP will...
