Features to know about

Haul Gear, Bikes, and Small Trailers: Class III Strength with a 2" Receiver

With a 3,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 525 lbs tongue weight (5,000 lbs GTW and 525 lbs TW when used with weight distribution), this hitch is built to handle everyday towing and hauling. The 2" x 2" receiver fits most bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts, so you can load up for a road trip, pull a small boat, or take your camper out for the weekend. It’s a solid option when you want one hitch that covers both your gear and towing needs.

Install It Yourself in the Driveway: Bolt-On Design with Included Hardware

This hitch is made for the DIYer. The fully welded design bolts right to the frame using the included mounting hardware—no welding required. Access holes may need slight enlargement, but there’s no drilling into new metal to make it fit. Everything lines up cleanly, making it straightforward to install at home with common tools.

Keep It Looking Sharp: Concealed Cross Tube and Gloss Black Powder Coat

The concealed cross tube keeps most of the hitch tucked out of sight under the bumper so only the receiver opening shows. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat resists corrosion and keeps it looking clean even after years of road grime and weather. The round-tube design adds a bit of style while keeping strength where it counts.

Count on Solid Construction: Precision Welding for Strength and Fit

The precision robotic welds give this hitch strong joints and a consistent fit to the frame. The sturdy steel construction supports stable towing without flex. It’s built for long-term reliability whether you’re carrying bikes every weekend or pulling a loaded trailer on your next trip.

This Curt wire harness and hitch was great. Received it in perfect condition and it was installed in 1/2 a day. Took it directly from Ann Arbor, MI to Lexington, KY and back with absolutely no issues.

by:

This was way easier that you are expecting it to be. The walk though videos are making so easy. I didn't have to jack the car up or anything. only used the jack to hold the muffler. The design was perfect and super unintrusive when not in use.

by:

I searched the internet to see if the 2015 lincoln Mkc had a hitch available for it. I found videos to prove they did and the video also showed how to install the hitch. The video made a world of difference on helping the installation process. Product fit great and is tucked up very well. I recommend this product

by:

I was stressed trying to accommodate my move out and needed a simple and effective solution
The hitch I ordered Cosme in as promised and was easy to install!
Im really pleased with the services e trailer offers
Steve the sales person was very helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed and the extra parts to hook up.
Thank you

by:

My hitch order went without a hitch. It arrived on the day that it was scheduled. It was boxed well and contained all of the mounting hardware needed to mount it on my vehicle, Lincoln MKC. The online video that I viewed on the installation left no surprises. I would recommend this product and etrailer.com service.

by:

Install went well at home. It has worked well for bike racks so far - have not actually towed anything. I have a 2015 Lincoln MKC. Still able to kick open the tailgate though it is touchier now.

by:

Good quality hitch with good instructio ns.

by:

My trailer hitch and accessories for my Lincoln MKC all arrived in excellent condition. It is a great product. I did install one a few years ago on a different car.

The installation this time was a bit of a challenge as I did not have a lift available.
My tools were adequate, however, I could have used some others.

It is possible my age at 86 did cause me to take a bit longer than planned.

by:

Great customer service and product!

by:

Great product. Only complaint is during installation the parts should be marked better. You can install the side plates incorrectly they should be marked passenger/driver. Other than that it's a great hitch.

by:

Relatively easy to install! It works gr eat!

I love it! I’ve only used it for my bike rack so far. But I’ve definitely recommended your product to others!

@Allie That's great to hear Allie! Thanks for coming back and sharing that recommendation and letting us know how well the hitch is working with your bike rack.

by:

The trailer has been Fabulous!! I don't see it as a add one but a part of my car. I've used to carry my bikes with me, and have had ZERO issues with it!! The only complaint I have is " why didn't I do this sooner"!! Love love LOVE my Trailer Hitch!!!

by:

This looks great and was a pretty easy install. I've installed one hitch before on a different car (also purchased from eTrailer) and this one was easier, mostly because the exhaust comes down super easy, although as with any work done on your back under the car, it can be a bit fiddly but if you have patience, everything comes together. I used a Dremel to expand 2 holes a bit (explained in the instructions). No need for a full on die grinder as stated in the instructions. It takes just a minute or two with a Dremel to grind the the holes out enough. You only have to remove a tiny amount of metal so the carriage bolts will fit through the holes and the metal you're working on is pretty thin. There is an instructional video on YouTube showing using 2 pry bars to enlarge the holes I tried that but could not generate enough force laying on my back under the car. The hitch looks great, super nice finish and it is very unobtrusive. Looks like a factory install. And, the foot kick hatch opener still works. I am using it mostly for a bike rack so I have not towed anything with it yet but the thing is pretty beefy as hitches go so I'm sure the car will give out before the hitch does ;-)

by:

Perfect fit, etrailer installation videos made this a snap on my 2017 MKC Reserve AWD 2.3T. I plan to use for a bike rack so did not order any electrical. I used jack and stands at rear most jack points to take whole back end up until tires were about 4 inches off the floor and this was plenty of room to drop the exhaust and work underneath. The exhaust won't drop much anyway, especially on the drivers side, but there is just enough room to thread the hitch assembly above and it tucks in perfectly behind and below bumper cover plastic. I didn't need to cutout or trim any plastic as seems to be needed with some other brands of hitch kits. Liftgate kick sensors still work perfectly by kicking to left or right of hitch receiver. Great product, and thanks for the quick shipping and excellent videos!

by:

We needed this hitch for a cargo carrier on the back of our car. etrailer's price was lower than other stores; and with the selection ability I was confident it would fit. The hitch was delivered more quickly than I thought it would be and was in immaculate condition. (we had previously purchased from another place and it was damaged, so I was concerned about this.)

by:

The Curt hitch fit my Lincoln MKC perfectly. Instructions/video were great. Fish wires provided made installation easy. Wiring harness I purchased was also a simple install. It took about 1 1/4 hours for the complete install….not bad for a 72 year old. This is the 3rd Curt hitch I have purchased from etrailer and if the need arises again, I will be a return customer for sure.

by:

Perfect fit on my wife’s Lincoln MKC. We use it with a bike rack for our 2 E-bikes and no problems at all. It looks like it came with the vehicle. Very happy with the purchase.

That is so good to hear, Marc! My brother recently bought an e-bike. I have never ridden one, and I am sure my brother would let me if I asked. But I am a little intimidated, honestly. In your opinion, are they easy or intuitive to drive and manage?

by:

Excellent customer service and shipping.

by:

Curt is always my go to for hitch equipment. This one is no exception. Solid material and good hardware. On this vehicle, the installation is a little tricky on the passenger side due to the exhaust, but it was all done within 45 minutes. Make sure to have a helper if you can, to get it started.

Hitch is working great. Weve used it 25 times or more and everything is still tight and rust-free.

by:

Solid, installed easily in 1-1/2 hours by one (solo) senior citizen with some pieces of 4x4 to hold up one side. Hitch clears all stock MKC parts. Used for a Yakima swing out bike rack (which I modified by replacing the safety pin with a 3/8-24 grade 5 or 8 nut, bolt, heavy lock washer, and heavy washer, the nut being tack welded to the inside of the rack tube). Hitch does not interfere with the automatic hatch lift sensor triggered by your foot (Lincoln MKC).
This does not solve a hitch problem, it solves a bike rack problem. Same thing happened with my Thule rack. Without the bolt, you can watch the rack flop back and forth in the mirror (but easy fix). On long trips, check the bolt (torque) security occasionally.
I plan to tow a medium weight trailer and have no concerns with the strength and rigidity of this hitch.

Hitch is working fine. It was purchased primarily for a bike rack but it is plenty solid for towing a trailer limited to my car towing limit 3500.

by:

Looks great and installation was a breeze! Exactly what we were looking for.

by:

I bought the Curt hitch for the 2015 Lincoln MKC. The directions to install were clear, and easy to follow. It took me about two hours to install, but I am 68 and getting up and down takes me awhile! It looks great!

by:

Perfect fit. Instructions were spot on. One tip, spring end of fish wires are kind of like a Chinese finger toy, they go on easy but won’t come off easy. I recommend only screwing them on 4 threads, this makes them easier to get off.

by:

Really happy w/ my new hitch. It looks great on the MKC. Customer Service Team was very helpful when shipping was delayed for much longer than I anticipated. Alex - I appreciate your follow-up. We’re all set and ready for out trip to Mackinac Island.

by:

Excellent prior to installation. Arrived with a destroyed box but all necessary hardware was well fastened to the receiver resulting in a successful delivery.

Looking for a great install experience. I am excited about the opportunity to tow a small trailer in order to accomplish the real estate management chores needed.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness Compatible With 2017 Lincoln MKC Without Factory Tow Package
If you don't have the factory tow package on your 2017 Lincoln MKC then you won't have the harness connector for the # HM11140694. Instead you will use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118284 for your trailer wiring. This will connect to your factory wiring in the rear cargo area and will draw power directly from the vehicle battery to protect your vehicle electronics. The hands-free liftgate sensors you are referring to on your 2015 Lincoln MKC will still function after you install the Curt # C13194 trailer hitch. What you will likely have to do is simply kick your leg to the side of the hitch receiver instead of the center, but it will still work to open your tailgate. • Does the Curt Hitch C13194 Block the Lift Gate Sensor on the 2018 Lincoln MKC?
We haven't heard any complaints about the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13194 affecting any lift gate sensors on the 2018 MKC. This is a common issue on many mid size SUV's and what customers typically have to do is kick to the left or right of the 2" receiver. The receiver creates a blind spot on some vehicles and you have to work around it. The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13194 is custom fit and bolts to your 2018 Lincoln MKC with included hardware. No drilling is required on the 2015 Lincoln MKC to install Curt trailer hitch # C13194. But access holes may need to be enlarged which can be done with a drill or rotary tool. You could also use hand tools such as a file to enlarge the holes. I have included a link to the instructions for you. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. When we installed the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13194 on a Lincoln MKC, we found that the inside top edge of the receiver sat 12-1/2 inches above the ground. The the bottom edge of your boat trailer sits at 16 inches with the trailer level, you'll want to use a ball mount with a rise to raise the trailer ball by about 4 inches. That way, once the trailer is hitches up, the rear of the vehicle will squat a bit which will place the trailer very close to level. I'd recommend the Curt...
