Does Installation of Trailer Hitch on 2015 Lincoln MKC Interfere With Hands-Free Liftgate
Published 12/04/2018 >
Question:
Does installation of the Curt hitch impede the rear tailgate leg swipe activation of the tailgate? MKC has the sys whereby if you have groceries for example you can swipe a leg toward the rear bumper and tailgate auto opens.

Expert Reply:
The hands-free liftgate sensors you are referring to on your 2015 Lincoln MKC will still function after you install the Curt # C13194 trailer hitch. What you will likely have to do is simply kick your leg to the side of the hitch receiver instead of the center, but it will still work to open your tailgate.
I have added a link to a video of this hitch being installed on a MKC for you to take a look at as well.
