  • Recommended 3 Inch to 2 Inch Hitch Reducer with 5/8 Inch Pin Hole
There is a solution for you, the Buyers Products 3" to 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # 337RTA302 which has a 5/8" hitch pin hole and would give you the security you need. Using the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408 with its 3/4" hitch pin hole would not be ideal because the conflicting hitch pin diameters would mean your tow bar would be loose inside the receiver. I have added a link to a video review of the Buyers Products adapter for you to check out as well.

  • Recommended Multipurpose Ball Mount with Receiver for 3 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatibility
The Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210 will work with a 3 inch receiver when you use the Curt Reducer # C45408. If you need more adjustability to tow level, then the best option is the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers for 3" Hitch - 12" Drop/Rise - 32K # 325-GH-1725 or the 9 inch drop/rise # 325-GH-1724. These assemblies offer stacked receivers that you can use bike racks or other accessories in. This will...

  • Weight Distribution Hitch for Trailer With 11,495 lb GVWR
Greetings Tim; when you choose a WDH you want to go off of the tongue weight of your loaded setup. The best way to find this is to measure with a scale like the # BTBRV44FR. Since you provided the specs for your trailer we can take a guess to help find the right system. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight. We know your dry tongue weight is 890 lbs. Factor in batteries and propane and you're already adding about 100 lbs so close to 1,000 lbs unloaded. At the high...

  • Can RHS2 Hitch Stair Be Used With 3" To 2" Hitch Reducer Sleeve?
Hello Mike, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the # RHS2 Hitch Stair can indeed be used with a 3" to 2" reducer like the Curt # C45408. As long as your hitch reducer is not an extension, they will work together fine. Hitch extensions will lower your tongue weight capacity. The # C45408 is a reducer sleeve that inserts fully inside the hitch, so no tongue weight capacity reduction. Those sleeve adapters can create a bit more play at the hitch, but that is the only thing you would need to keep...

  • Are The Rock Tamers 2.5" Compatible With Stow & Go Hitch and Anti Rattle Quiet Hitch?
If you have a 3 inch hitch on your 2020 Ford F-350 and you're using the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS20049B with an adapter sleeve # C45408. You will be able to use the Rock Tamer Mud Flaps # ERT00110. All you need to use these flaps is at least 1 inch from the hitch to the end of the shank of the ball mount. The Tow & Stow has two holes. The front hitch pin hole is 3 inches to the end of the shank and the last hole is 4 inches. So you should have plenty of room to put the Rock Tamers...

  • Recommended Hitch Extender for Towing/Hitch Accessories With Truck Bed Camper
Both the Curt # C45048 and the Reese # RP45292 hitch extensions would require using a 3 inch to 2-1/2 inch reducer sleeve # BWRHXA2183. This would work pretty well for towing but it would allow a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack to bounce about quite a bit which would concern me. The bouncing force would increase the leverage applied to the extender and the hitch installed on the truck, so I'm not thrilled with either of those two solutions. I'd prefer to see you use an extender...

  • Will The Reese Dual Cam II Weight Distribution System # RP65FR Fit 2023 GD Imagine XLS 22RBE?
Yes, the Reese Dual Cam II Weight Distribution System # RP65FR is a great option for your 2023 Grand Design Imagine XLS 22RBE. To attach it to your 2019 Ford F-250 you will need a Shank # RP69FR and Reducer Sleeve # C45408 to go from the 3" receiver to the 2" hitch shank.

  • Ball Mount Recommendation for 3" Hitch Receiver on Ford F-450
The only way to avoid using a reducer sleeve like the Curt # C45408 is to get a ball mount with a 3" shank and for that I recommend checking out the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS30049B which comes with the 3 common hitch ball sizes (1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16") and has an adjustable height so you get a max rise of 7" and a max drop of 7-1/2". The idea behind this ball mount is that it will be the last one that you need to buy since it has so much versatility. I also recommend picking...

  • Can You Use a 5/8" Hitch Pin On 3" Hitch with 3/4" Hitch Pin Hole
If the trailer hitch has a 3/4" diameter hitch pin hole then that is what you'll need to use when towing with said hitch even when using an adapter such as the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves part # C45408. If you don't have a 3/4" diameter hitch pin we do offer the Super Titan Trailer Hitch Pin and Clip part # 58388. There would be too much slop with the smaller pin to be safely used inside the larger opening.

  • How to Use Blue Ox Weight Distribution in 3 Inch Hitch
While there is not a 3 inch shank available for a Blue Ox weight distribution system like the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW1500, a reducer is definitely a viable option that is just as safe and will work really well. The best option for this is a reducer sleeve that fits inside your 3 inch receiver as opposed to an adapter that sticks out of the hitch, and for that you will need the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408. This will just slide into your hitch so there...

  • 24" Hitch Extension for 3" Receiver on a 2017 Ford F-350
I do have a solution for you but unfortunately we don't have any hitch extenders that fit the 3" receiver on your 2017 Ford F-350 and are at least 24" long. What you could do is use the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408 to go from 3" to 2-1/2" and then utilize the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer # C45048 which goes from 2-1/2" to 2". This extension can be used in either the 34" or 24" length by cutting the shank itself. At the 24" length it has a max gross trailer weight (GTW)...

  • Can Hitch Reducer Sleeve Be Used with Weight Distribution Shank Without Loss of Capacity
We offer weight distribution shanks for 2-inch and 2-1/2-inch hitches, shown on the linked page, but not one for a 3-inch hitch. We can still help you. Adding Curt reducer sleeve # C45408 allows dropping a 3-inch receiver down to either the 2-1/2-inch size to allow use of a Reese shank like # RP54977 or to a 2-inch size, which would allow you to continue using your existing 2-inch shank. This reducer does NOT cause a loss of hitch capacity the way other types of adapters do. Hitch extenders...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Adapter for 3 Inch Hitch Receiver Opening
To convert a 3 inch receiver opening to a 2 inch receiver accessory you will need a hitch adapter. If you are just using a ball mount I recommend the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408. If you are going to be using an anti-rattle device like you'd want on a ball mount I recommend instead using the Buyers Products 3" to 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # 337RTA302. This will allow you to use an anti-rattle lock on the 3 inch receiver and then use the anti-rattle...

  • How To Use Weight Distribution Hitch With A 3" Hitch Receiver On 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty
I do have a solution for you, however, there currently is not a 3" shank available for a weight distribution system. You will need to use a reducer sleeve such as Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408, which will reduce a 3" receiver to 2-1/2" or 2". This has been confirmed to work with weight distribution systems and will NOT reduce your towing capacity. This is your best route if you want to use your current weight distribution hitch with your 2021 Ford F-250 3" hitch receiver....

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Adapters And Lock For Super Titan 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver
For your Super Titan 3000 Weld-On Trailer Hitch with 3" Receiver # 38023 I recommend using the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408. These sleeves can both be used at the same time to reduce your 3" receiver to a 2" receiver. And if you ever find the need for a 2-1/2" receiver you can use just the one large sleeve for that hitch. Both sleeves have a 3/4" pin hole for accepting your larger pin. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63259 is designed for 3" receivers and has...

I took a look at what we have, and I was able to find the: -Gen-Y 2-Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Hitch Receivers # 325-GH-064. This ball mount will use the larger 3/4" hitch pin # 58388 that you mentioned you have, however this ball mount is designed to fit into 3" x 3" trailer hitch receivers. If your receiver opening is smaller, you can use the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408. This reducer sleeve will allow you to adapt the ball mount to your 2-1/2" or 2" receiver opening. • Hitch Cover for a 3-Inch Hitch Receiver?
We do not have any hitch covers made for 3" hitches. In fact there is only one hitch cover made for 2-1/2" hitch receivers which is the Curt Hitch Cover # C22277. Having a 3" hitch receiver limits your options whenever you want to use it for non-towing purposes. If ever you want to carry around a bike rack or use a non-towing accessory, I recommend having the Curt Hitch Reducer Sleeve # C45408. It's a small adapter that fits inside your hitch so that you can use normal 2" hitch accessories...

Per the manufacturer it is not designed to be stacked together and it would not work properly. The Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408 is what you will need. • Recommended 12k Winch And Mounting Plate For A Trailer Hitch Receiver
For a 12k winch I recommend the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW10039. Bulldog is a well-known name in the winch community and this specific model comes with a wireless remote that you can use to easily activate the winch from anywhere within a 100' radius. To get this winch mounted to your trailer hitch you'll need the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate # BDW20011 and a reducer. You should have at most a 3" receiver tube opening so I recommend double checking the opening...

  • Compatibility of the e99007 Hitch Stabilizer with 3 Inch Receiver with Reducers
The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches - Vinyl Coated Steel # e99007 is compatible with your 2 inch ball mount. The U-bolt is 4-1/4 inches tall overall and 2 inches wide on the inside. This should allow for snugging your ball mount into your receiver depending on the reducers used. If you have a stacked reducer like the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves - 3" to 2-1/2" or 2" # C45408 the collar may have too much of a gap to overcome with that type of stabilizer but...
