How To Use Weight Distribution Hitch With A 3" Hitch Receiver On 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:

Hi, I just updated from a tundra to a F250. This new truck had a 3” hitch. So I’m looking for a 3” shank to use with my weight dist hitch. Need about 9” . Any recommendations?

I do have a solution for you, however, there currently is not a 3" shank available for a weight distribution system. You will need to use a reducer sleeve such as Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeves # C45408, which will reduce a 3" receiver to 2-1/2" or 2". This has been confirmed to work with weight distribution systems and will NOT reduce your towing capacity. This is your best route if you want to use your current weight distribution hitch with your 2021 Ford F-250 3" hitch receiver. I have attached a demonstration video for this reducer.
