Pop-In Gooseneck Ball and Safety Chain Loops for a 2016 Ram 2500 with OEM Prep Package

Question:

I am purchasing a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 with the factory installed gooseneck/5th wheel prep package. The dealer wants to sell me a $450 ball kit will this Reese Elite Series ball kit # RP30137 work or is there an after market ball kit that will work? They are telling me they changed them this model year and there is no after market compatible but I find that hard to believe.

I spoke with my contact at Reese, who makes the under bed kit for the 2016 Ram 2500, and for a ball only you can use # RP19311.

For a ball with the safety chain loops that will fit I recommend # C58CR.
