So far the trans cooler has been working well. I also used the adapters. Both products are doing well after 1500 miles or so and many hills, mountains, and trailering.

Great cooler upgrade for my 1997 GMC Yukon! Little delivery damage, but was so easy to bend those fins back to original shape so no worries!
Nice that you had proper dimension measurements online, so it was easy to figure out what kind I can fit in my truck. Complete kit had everything I needed to get it done!
Modified old cooler bracket little bit and that was it. Works great!

Will make the installation of the trans cooler easier

by:

Have I gotten my refund for trans cooler fittings that weren't needed? 1994 k1500 trans cooler is working great.

by:

Very handy for unique installations fo transmission coolers

by:

It looks like from reading the matierl if one is using the cooler in series with the factory cooler this adapter is not needed.
Thus I would like to return, but I fear the shipping cost will not make sense, dollar wise...

Thus the recommendation should state if you are adding a cooler to your system where one does not already exist, then you'll need this adapter.

So if your adding to an already existing system, you do not need the adapter.

by:

Worked out great for installing the extra trans cooler.

These fittings made connecting the hoses to the steel transmission lines very easy - glad I bought them! I recommend getting them.

by:

I purchased these fittings thinking these would fit my GM product. NOT.......These are 3/8 and looks like the fit the truck series only as stated on the package. Be aware

  • How Many Adapters Is Needed to Install Transmission Cooler in 1997 Chevy K1500
The Derale cooler part # D13503 is a great choice for your 1997 Chevy K1500. You would only need one of the part # D13018 fitting adapter as it comes with two sides. One to use on the radiator to get the line to the transmission cooler and then the other one to attach back to the disconnected transmission cooler line that was removed. If oil filter clearance is already pretty tight I wouldn't recommend an oil cooler as they take up a bit of space that it sounds like you don't have. Is...

  • Can Derale Dyno-Cool Remote Cooler Mount in Front of Radiator in 2010 Chevy Silverado
As stated by Derale in the instructions of the Derale Dyno-Cool Remote Cooler with Fan and AN Inlets # D12733, "The purpose of a remote mount cooler is to be able to mount the cooler away from the front of the vehicle therefore not blocking airflow to the radiator/condenser. This cooler can be mounted anywhere space permits." If you are going to be adding a transmission cooler in front of your radiator I instead recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13503,...

To determine what kind of transmission cooler you will need depends on how much weight you will be towing and where you will be towing. This is the weight of the trailer, including the load in the trailer. This will help...

  • Transmission Pan Cooler for a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 5.3 Liter with 4L60E M-30 Transmission
Derale Transmission Pan Cooler, # D14204, is designed for GM vehicles with 700R4 and 4L60E transmissions from 1982 to 1999 and we do not list an transmission pan cooler for the 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 with 4L60 M-30 transmission. The issue you could run into is that the exhaust on the vehicle, or other components, could interfere with installation of the pan cooler. What I recommend is to go with the most efficient and largest standard transmission cooler available that will fit in front...

The transmission cooler fittings you have referenced, # D13018, are not the correct part for your 2002 Ford F150 with 4.2L V6. For the 2002 Ford F150 with 4.2 L V6, it depends on what size transmission line fittings you have. If you have 5/8 inches-18 transmission line fittings you would use the Transmission Cooler Fitting, # D13025. For a cooler you would want the part # D13504 which measures 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep. In most cases the stock transmission cooler is adequate at best on vehicles when not pulling a trailer. Yes, you can run this Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, part # D13502, in series with the factory transmission cooler that is on your 2002 Chevy 2500HD. A lot of people do this and it should help bring your transmission fluid temperatures down.
