Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at the Superwinch SP 45SR ATV Series Winch. Now this medium duty winch with a 1.8 horsepower permanent magnet motor and mechanical brake, it's going to let you safely recover a stuck UTV. Now this winch is designed for ATV and UTV enthusiasts. This is built to withstand the harshest conditions like in mud, and snow, and sand, and rough trails, and a whole lot more.

Now this ATV recovery winch is designed for recreation and standard duty work applications. The 12 volt DC 1.8 horsepower motor is gonna give you powerful, fast and safe line pulling. The rated line pole with a single layer of rope around the drum is 4,500 pounds static load. The motor is lighter and it uses less current than a series wound motor. It's sealed to keep out the water and prevent internal corrosion.

The sealed contactor is going to transmit power from the vehicle's battery to the winch motor. And this is going to mount on or near your UTVs battery box with the included hardware. And this does include this 10 foot long wired remote that's going to let you control the winch from a safe position. And this also includes dash mounted control switches. Let me make sure that I have these upright there so you can clearly see the switches.

So these dash mounted control switches are included. And this switch right here, as you see, is going to control a patented drum light. And the drum light is gonna be right under the top portion here. It's gonna shine down on the drum. So that's a feature that I had not seen on other winches before.

So that's a really nice feature that they have included in this winch. Now the all steel three stage planetary gear train is going to give you increased drum speed when compared to one or two stage models. The gear ratio is 198 to one. And the line pole at zero pounds has a line speed of 16 feet per minute. And the line pull at 4,500 pounds has a line speed of three and 15/16 feet per minute. And a free spooling cam clutch is going to ensure fast row payout. It's gonna reduce wear on the motor. And this 40 foot long quarter of an inch in diameter synthetic rope is strong as steel, but it's gonna be lightweight and it's going to be actually safer to handle than a wire rope. And as you can see here at the end, we do have a heavy duty quarter of an inch steel clevis hook and then a nylon hand saver strap that's included with this winch. The mechanical brake is gonna hold 100% of the load while minimizing winch creep. And this heavy duty aluminum housed fairlead has a clear anodized finish that's gonna do a great job of resisting corrosion. The mounting channel with hardware's included for the winch with the fairlead. You may be required to create a custom solution to mount the winch and fairlead to your UTV. The durable graphite powder coated body is going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. It's gonna hold up really well for you. And let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements just so you have a good idea of the size. So holding my tape measure up to it here. As you can see, we're sitting pretty close to 14 inches long overall. And then let me get my ruler for the other measurements here. Looking at the height, pretty close to five and a half inches tall. And then this is gonna be a little bit tricky here. I'm gonna try to show you the width, and I'm gonna be measuring from the very front here of the fairlead all the way to the back. So it looks like we're pretty close to five and three quarters inches wide. And then let me tip this over here just so you can get a good view of the bottom. We do have measurements of the bolting pattern on this product page. This winch is about 30 pounds, so it's not overly heavy. It's a really great size for, again, designed for ATV or UTV enthusiast. This is the plug that you're gonna wire in for the the wired remote. It's just gonna plug in just like that. So you'll just wire that plug in for the wired remote. But let me zoom out here and just show you that it does include all of the cabling that you're gonna need and the hardware and also instructions to guide you through the installation and the operation.
