Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at the 7-foot-wide by 3-inch-wide continuous steel hinge. This is a piano hinge that's gonna provide a sturdy, consistent support for your door or tailgate on your utility trailer. The continuous design is gonna offer more support than your smaller individual hinges and it's gonna help reduce the stress on your heavier doors. Now, this is 7 feet wide by, or 7 feet long by 3 inches wide, you can see if I get this to stand up properly, it's about 3 inches wide. It is going to have the two sides that will each fold in, does have 270 degrees of rotation for your full opening and closing, so it'll give you plenty of adjustability there so that you can open your door properly.
Each side of the hinge is about 1 1/2 inches in width there, so combined for that 3 inches. This is a 16-gauge steel construction, so it is gonna be very durable and long lasting. You can either weld this on or bolt it on. It is a solid metal, so there's no pre-drilled holes. So you can drill out your own holes to match your setup.
Our individual knuckle links here, we're looking at right at 2 inches and our pin diameter is 3/8 of an inch.
