Today we're going to be taking a look at the ramp door hinge from Polar 00:00:05 hardware. This hinge is designed for ramps or heavy access doors on your trailers. It's made from a very strong and durable steel construction. It's going to have that plain or raw finish, which allows for easier welding for the installation. You'll notice that right here it does come with a grease fitting. That's going to allow for long life and smooth operation.
Once this is installed all you have to do is attach a grease gun to that, pump in some grease. That's going to lubricate the internal pin and it's just going to allow for really nice, smooth operation. Overall, it's going to increase the life of the hinge. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. The thickness of the plate right here is going to be 1/4-inch steel. Going this direction, that plate is going to measure 4-inches.
Going this direction, it's going to measure 2 1/4-inches. The length edge to edge, we're looking at a measurement of 8 1/4-inches. Then the ends are going to have a diameter of right around 1-inch. Really nice operation though. It's going to rotate all the way.
Very easy to do and again if that ever gets tight or whatever, hook up a grease gun, pump in the grease, it's going to lubricate the internal components. That's going to do it for today's look at the ramp door hinge from Polar hardware.
Used these to build a tailgate on a utility trailer I was rebuilding that has been in the family for 50 years. Heavy duty hinge, and appreciate the grease zert.
We used this to make a door for a trailer to haul ATVs, dirt bikes, UTVs, etc. The hinges are placed towards the bottom so the door may be used as a ramp. The hinges have held up against the UTVs just fine!

Great product. Replaced and upgraded my broken hinge on my 7x14 cargo trailer. (Instead of 2 ,we now have 3) The ramp door is extra sturdy.

My parts were promptly shipped, in good condition upon arrival. Perfect fit for my application, and have had no problems over the last year. Application was for a 2010 piece American car hauler rear door ramp hinges.
I greased my zerk fitting once and the fitting came off completely. Not impressed

Industrial strength hinges . I have used these for my steel gates for years. Once greased, they open easily.
Ordered these to use on a landscaping trailer for a rear ramp gate that will hold at least 800 pounds got 3 of them to spread the weight out, seemed heavy duty and they are, these are big hinges in a good way. The zerk fitting is a great plus! makes it easier than fabricating your own hinges. The square plate makes it easy to align and gives you enough material to weld to.Price was goog shipping was fast, customer service is always excellent.

One year later they are still working perfectly. They have stood up well, can be greased easily, hold a lot of weight, over 800 pounds at a time have gone up this ramp using 3 of these hinges, no issues.

This was exactly what we needed to complete our custom landscape truck ramp.
I received my Ramp Door Hinge and it is heavy duty and was packaged with care. I even called customer service to check arrival time and the individual who helped me was very kind. First of all a person answered the phone, second she did not ask for an order number just my name and she was able to tell me exactly what was going on with my order and when it should arrive. My order arrived exactly when she told me. I am hoping to get it welded on today and if I am able I will try to return here and post pictures. Thank you guys.

After a year of use my rear ramp door hinge is still holding up as if it was just installed yesterday. There is no slack nor looseness what so ever. Its a great product, very durable in deed. Definitely made the right choice with that purchase. 100 still satisfied.

I have an older "Lark" trailer that had 3 hinges similar to these ramp door hinges I purchased from e-trailer. Two out of three had broken over the years. Lark was of no help when I contacted them. I went to several places that are known here in Orlando for trailer repair. They want a kings ransom to replace them. So, I located these hinges on e-trailer.com I ordered them and they were promptly delivered. Examined them closely and they are well made, and also have the grease nipple for keeping them lubricated. A local metal shop came and welded them on my trailer. These hinges are perfect. If you have a car-hauler or any trailer for that matter - you won't be disappointed in these hinges. No, I was not paid for this endorsement - and I did paid full price for the hinges. Good value for my money.

After having installed these hinges 1 year ago they still function great. I used the trailer for storing snowblower, walkway salt spreader and 4 wheeler for plowing sidewalks. They workes out great
