What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're checking out this Snap-Loc E-track fitting. Now, you can get these in a quantity of one, and you can order them to put wherever you want on your E-track to help you tie down your cargo. Now, we added a D-link on ours today, just to have something for the hook to attach to. But you can see how well it's working to tie down these pallets. Let's check it out.
Taking a closer look at what you get. You're gonna get this portion here. Again, the D-link is separate. We added that on just to go through that hole. Now, you can directly attach to that.
We had hooks on the trailer that went right in there, no problems. This one catches a little bit because it's got that vinyl coating on there so it's a little thicker, So you had to kinda maneuver it to get it to go all the way around like it's supposed to to get a full connection, but it still works, and I like how this drops into any one of these places. You're not stuck with permanent mounting places. You use these, you can put them in anywhere along that track, so whatever load your taking you can adjust accordingly. Now we're gonna remove the strap so we can show you how easy they are to move around.
You just pull on this portion here. It's spring loaded And just move it out of the track It's that simple I'm going to get our D-link out of the way so you can take, see a clear picture of what you're getting. The tie-down anchor is going to have a sturdy steel construction with a zinc chrome finish, so you don't have to worry about leaving it out in the elements, it's gonna be just fine. Now it's got a brake strength of 4,400 pounds And it has a safe working load limit of 1,467 pounds. Something to keep in mind for sure is not to exceed the combined working load limit of all the tie-down points.
So make sure when you go to use these if you're using four of them those are combined if so don't overload that with whatever you're carrying. Last but not least, it's got 1/2 inch diameter hole here on the anchor point. So using that with hooks or even carabiners, you want to make sure you get the right one that's going to fit this. Overall though, I think it's really handy to have. I like that you can move it anywhere along the E-track that you need to you don't have to worry about permanent tie-down points and you can adjust it according to whatever you're carrying or wanting to strap down.
