Features to know about

Installs Fast Without Wire Splicing: Plug-In T-Connector

Running new trailer wiring can be a pain, but the Curt T-Connector harness skips all that. It plugs right into your vehicle’s factory tail light connectors, so there’s no cutting or tapping into wires. The tight-fitting connectors click into place for a secure connection, giving you a clean setup that’s ready to use.

Reliable Power for Trailer Lights: Powered Converter Box

This harness includes a powered converter that draws power directly from the battery through its own fused line. That means your trailer lights get consistent power without overloading the vehicle’s circuits. Once the black lead is connected to the positive battery terminal with the included fuse holder, you get dependable performance for running, brake, and turn signals.

Clean and Simple Install: Behind-the-Tail-Light Connection

The harness installs behind the tail lights, keeping everything tucked away and protected. You won’t have wires running all over or visible splices to worry about. The design uses existing vehicle connectors, which keeps the wiring hidden and reduces the chance of wear or damage down the road.

Ready-to-Go 4-Flat Connector: Standard Trailer Lighting Setup

The 4-flat connector gives you what most trailers need—running lights, brake lights, and turn signals. It’s the standard plug for small trailers, campers, and cargo haulers. Once installed, you’re wired up and ready to tow safely with a reliable connection every time.

Arrived quickly and was basically a ‘plug and play’. Installed as advertised with no issues and worked right out of the box. Would recommend both seller and product.

The reverse light female connector is incorrect. Having to order the right female connector and manipulate the harness that was already suppose to be easy installation.

The provided double sided tape had no adhesive to it what so ever. Assuming it is extremely old or something.

This harness only comes with a 4-way connector that does not include a reverse light wire. You can add an adapter like part # 20036 for the reverse wire function. You would just need to wire the blue wire info the reverse light wire on the vehicle.

This trailer hitch receiver was super easy to install on our 2005 Ford Escape. Game changer for us. It fit perfectly. We added a trash can carrier to it to deliver our bin to the end of a very LONG driveway.

I actually had to replace this after just one year. I was on a dirt road and something yanked the wires out of my connector, causing them to touch and short circuit. That's not a problem in itself, but the fuse did not protect the electronic module and it was damaged in the process. While the initial damage was not Curt's fault, the purpose of the fuse is to protect the sensitive electronics and that did not happen. Otherwise it's a good product, easy to install and use. Just don't short it out.

Fairly difficult and time consuming to install; instructions not specific enough especially where to hook up green wire connectors on passenger side taillight (it goes on the turn signal connector); good luck getting your old connectors apart, I broke every clip. Not to worry, just wrap them snug with electrical tape after the new ones are connected and you'll be good to go.

The installation video was spot on, easy to follow and the hook-up went according to plan. Checked the 4 pin with a light tester and it worked great.

2010 Ford Escape
This product fit my daughters Ford Escape perfectly, I had previously ordered a trailer hitch and wiring harness but I inadvertently ordered the wrong wiring harness (to be fair, there was nothing wrong with the harness. If Ford had done their job it would have been perfect for the job). Trailer hitch fit perfectly and this wireing harness was perfect. My thanks to George and Carol at Etrailer. Products were correct and shipping was very fast. If I could give 10 stars I would.
by:

  • Best Trailer Wiring Harness For A 2007 Ford Escape
Hi William! The best wiring harness will depend on if your 2007 Ford Escape has the factory towing package or not. This was fairly rare in '07, but I would still have a Ford dealer run your VIN to make sure. I have both options listed below: Without Tow Package: Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118426 With Tow Package: Hopkins Plug-N-Tow (R) Vehicle Wiring Harness # 40455 We technically have a few options for non tow package vehicle, but I have...

  • How To Tell If a 2006 Ford Escape Has the Factory Tow Package
The dealer will be able to tell you whether or not your 2006 Ford Escape has the factory tow package but the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56345 works on models both with or without so this is what I recommend using. It simply plugs in behind the tail lights. There is no relay to insert. Please note, most models without a factory trailer connector won't have the tow package so the above is likely what you need regardless.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2005 Ford Escape
Your 2005 Ford Escape has what is called a separate or 3-wire system. This means that it has turn signals and brake lights that are on different circuits. Trailers have what is called a combined or 2-wire system which means the brake lights and turn signals are on the same circuit. In order to have the proper functions from a vehicle side 4-Way you will need a wiring harness that has a converter. The converter takes the separate signals from the vehicle and combines them so that the 4-Way...

  • How To Wire The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring To A 2006 Mazda Tribute
I spoke with Curt in regards to the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56345 that you're having trouble with, and they mentioned that the reference to grounding the red wire is if the you are going to hardwire the unit for some reason and also have a two-wire system. You can ignore this, and will just need to plug the unit in and hook up the power and ground to make it function properly.

  • Troubleshooting Curt C56345 Trailer Wiring Harness
I'd recommend reviewing the installation instructions. Check the T-connection where the taillight assemblies plug into the # C56345 harness. If the connections aren't fully seated, the vehicle taillights will not work. Push the connections together until they click, they're designed to be a tight fit. Also, make sure the black lead from the converter box is ran to the positive battery terminal via the induced fuse holder and that the fuse is full seated in the holder.

  • Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2006 Ford Escape
We do have a tail light wiring harness for your 2006 Ford Escape with a higher amp rating than the T-One harness you previously used. I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Harness, # C56345, which installs the same way as your T-One harness. For the brake light/turn signals, this harness is rated at 3 amps per circuit versus 2.1 amps for the T-One harness and for the tail lights it is rated at 6 amps verses 4.2 amps for the T-One harness.
