Question:
How does one know if your vehicle has factory tow or not . I have 06 escape 3.0 engine ,xlt . It has a connecter hanging out the rear but has no power in it . I read something about having to get a relay to put into the fuse box.

The dealer will be able to tell you whether or not your 2006 Ford Escape has the factory tow package but the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56345 works on models both with or without so this is what I recommend using. It simply plugs in behind the tail lights. There is no relay to insert.
Please note, most models without a factory trailer connector won't have the tow package so the above is likely what you need regardless.
