Today we're going to take a look at the Tow Ready ball mount and Clevis mount for two inch hitches. Has a 6,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this two-tang design mount will function as a clevis hitch, or as a ball mount for use with industrial or agricultural equipment. It is a nice solid steel construction. The shank on it is a hollow shank. Has a nice black powder coat finish over the whole part to help resist rust and corrosion.
Now, if used as a ball mount, it does require a hitch ball with one inch diameter threaded shank to fit into the hole right here. If used as a clevis mount, you'll need to use a clevis pin that also has a one inch diameter, and a minimum usable length of 3 3/4, which would be measured this distance here. Now, we do sell a pin like that, that will work. It's part number 5746, and we do sell that separately on our website. It is listed on this product page as a related product. Now, to install this into your hitch receiver, it does require a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock. Again, we do sell those separately on our website.
The application for this, is two inch by two inch hitch receivers. Towing capacity is 6,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 600 pounds. Overall length on this, from this end, all the way to this end, is about 15 inches. We have mentioned the ball hole diameter is one inch. Now, I do want to measure the length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the clevis hole, or ball hole.
We'll put a ruler on that, center to center. It's right at 11 inches. Now, the drop on this, if it's used as a ball mount, it's going to be 1 1/4 inch drop, and that's measured from the top of the shank to the top of the mount right here. If we put a ruler on that, you'll be able to see it's right at 1 1/4 inches. Now, if used as a clevis mount, again, you'll measure from the top of the shank, and basically you'll measure right to the center between the two tangs.
If you do that, you can see, it's going to be right at three inch drop, if used as a clevis mount. That should do it for the review on the Tow Ready ball mount, clevis mount for two inch hitches, with a 6,000 weight capacity.

Excellent product
Fantastic service and very prompt shipping. This clevis hitch is just what I needed to hook up a recently purchased hay trailer. Very heavy duty and should last a lifetime. Excellent welding and heavy materials used throughout. Very well engineered to withstand high linear loads and mated up to my trailer without issue. You can't go wrong with this hitch if you need to tow farm equipment.
nice heavy duty fork hitch
Shipped quick and great communication. Hitch looks good. Will see how well it performs.
