Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a quick look at the Acecamp folding handsaw. So, this will be a really handy thing to have out on the trail with you, or just any time you're going for an outdoor adventure. It's going to be an easy to use folding handsaw, so you can cut any kind of small branches or trees out of your way. Create a path, do a little trailblazing and maybe some small projects around the house. Make a small tree fort, something like that.

I think it's going to be pretty cool for any kind of outdoor adventure.It's going to have a triple chip grind design, to make that cutting action really fast and easy. In a minute, I'm going to take this to the task against a little branch I've got here in the studio, so you can see how well it cuts. You can see, I already tried a little bit, so there's still a few little bits of bark in there. The blade is going to be made of a stainless steel that measures nine inches long.So, for that blade itself, that's what's actually going into the housing there. That's where they get that nine inches.

What actually sticks out is more like seven inches long. Overall, the whole thing unfolded measures about 16 inches, which is longer than my little ruler here. Fold it up. It's fairly compact, measuring about nine inches long, and about two and three eighth inches wide, by about seven eighths of an inch thick. Or about an inch thick.

So, same thing for whenever it's folded out. Widest point there is about two, three eighths, two and a half inches. So, now let's take this against a branch here and see how well it cuts.It makes pretty quick work of this. It's not really a very dense wood, it's pretty dry. So, that makes it look pretty easy, but as you saw, I got through that pretty quickly.

Should do a pretty good job of getting through those smaller branches, smaller little saplings and things like that, while you're out on the trail or out on the slopes. Just weighs about 7.4 ounces. Just looking at the blades, doesn't look like there's any deformity so far. Again, something that's a little bit more rigid. It might start to deform a little bit, but overall, I think it's going to be a pretty nice piece to have. It does have a small hole in the base, or in the handle, so that you can put a lanyard through there, then put it on your belt or tie it off to your pack.That's pretty much all there is to it. The handle is fairly comfortable. It's a little bit big for my hand. There's not really a great place for my hand to lay in, since you're either way up here, or way back here, but enough of a grip that you can get a pretty good hand on there and saw things up.
