When storms hit and regular matches fail, these keep burning. Wet hands, driving rain, or gusty winds, just strike a storm match and watch your campfire come to life, even in rough conditions.
There are times when a regular match just won't cut it—after a downpour, during high winds, or with cold hands by the fire ring. That's when you'll be glad you packed these storm matches. The waterproof case stays shut and easy to open, even with numb fingers, and the matches themselves keep burning strong through rain, wind, and snow. With backup strike pads and up to 10 seconds of burn time per match, you get a fire going when it matters most.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at these Coghlan's Storm Matches. Now, these matches are windproof and waterproof, so they're going to light and stay lit even if the weather is not cooperating with you. So that's going to make these matches a great backup for camping trips, hikes, and even just to stash in an emergency kit. Now, these matches are going to burn for about 10 seconds, which is long enough to get tinder, a stove, or even damp firewood going.
And they're going to come in this tough, little waterproof case with strike pads. You're gonna have one strike pad right there, and then you've got another strike pad hidden under this lid here at the bottom. There it is right there. So that strike pad is actually gonna be protected from the elements, so if the one on the outside isn't working for you, you've got that one underneath the bottom cap there. So you're not gonna be left stranded in case one wears out or this one might be wet.
And this is going to be just a great compact, lightweight way to carry these matches. And the matches themselves are about five centimeters long or so, so you're gonna be able to toss these in your backpack, your glove box, just have them ready on hand, whatever the case may be. The case does have this waterproof O-ring, if you can see that right there, so it's gonna keep the elements out. It is gonna be easy to open even with numb fingers. You can see it has a key ring on here as well.
I just wanted to put a ruler up to this real quick just to give you an idea of the size. We're almost three inches, I'm gonna say maybe two and three quarters inches tall. The overall width, about an inch and a half or so, the diameter if you wanna call it that. So the case is durable. It's gonna hold up really well for you.
