These frame-mounted tie-downs lock your camper directly to the strongest part of your truck—the frame—so everything stays stable and balanced. By distributing weight evenly and lowering the center of gravity, they help your setup handle like it should, even through crosswinds or on uneven roads. The result is a smoother, safer ride without the top-heavy sway that comes from bed- or bumper-mounted kits.
Designed for a precise fit, these tie-downs bolt onto existing holes in your truck’s frame, so there’s little to no drilling needed. Because the brackets mount tight to the frame, you keep good ground clearance and don’t have to make permanent changes. The install is straightforward and clean—no cutting or special tools required.
When you remove the tie-down arms, the brackets sit tucked under the frame and are barely visible. That means when you’re not running a camper, your truck keeps its original look without bulky hardware hanging down. The compact design keeps everything neat and out of sight until you need it again.

Made of heavy-duty steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built to handle repeated use and exposure to the elements. The durable coating adds an extra layer of protection against chips and corrosion so they’ll hold up season after season through road salt, mud, and long-distance drives.
Each arm includes two pin holes for adjusting how far out the tie-downs extend. That gives you flexibility to clear fenders or sidewalls and line up with your camper anchors just right. Two holes in the attachment plate let you fine-tune your turnbuckle angle for solid contact from multiple points—keeping the camper locked down tight for every trip.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the TorkLift custom frame mounted camper tie-downs for the rear of the vehicle. This product fits many vehicles so to ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle, you can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com. These tie-downs provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper. Front tie-downs are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. The frame mounted design ensures excellent handling, so securing the camper to the truck's frame instead of its bed better distributes weight, which keeps the setup from being too top heavy. When they are not being used, the system is virtually undetectable. All you have to do when they're not being used is you can actually remove the arms and get them out of the way.
Now, I also want to point out that these arms have two pin holes in them so that way you can adjust it to whatever one fits best for your application. Once you have this setting achieved, you simply slide through the included pin and secure its clip on the other side. The tie-down inserts again can be easily removed from the frame mounted receiver brackets when they are not being used. The other thing I want to point out is that these brackets are custom fit for your vehicle. So these brackets are designed to fit tight to the truck frame. That way there's not a loss of ground clearance.
They're made from a nice, durable steel construction and they feature a black powder-coated finish on them, so they're going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It does come with your tie-down inserts, the custom frame brackets and the pins and clips. You will use your existing hardware on the vehicle frame. It also comes with a set of detailed installation instructions to help walk you through that whole process step-by-step. This product is made in the USA and covered with a lifetime warranty. That's going to do it for today's look at the TorkLift custom frame mounted camper tie-downs for the rear of the vehicle..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
