Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CE17717. This is the C.E. Smith. Single axle trailer fender. It's a nice curved fender. This is going to cover one tire on your single axle trailer.
This is going to act as a splash guard, it's going to help keep road debris from hitting other vehicles on the road, and it's going to help protect whatever it is that you're hauling in the trailer's cargo area. This is going to be made from a sturdy 16 gauge steel construction, it can be primed and then painted to provide resistance to corrosion and also to match your trailer's paint finish. When it comes to the installation, you've got a couple different options. You can weld this on, or it can be bolted on. It's not pre-drilled and if you do want to bolt it on, the mounting brackets for the bolt-on installation are going to be sold separately. You can find those right here at etrailer.com. Now this product is made right here in the USA, again it is designed for single axle trailers with 8-inch diameter wheels. It's going to give us an overall length measurement, edge-to-edge, we're looking at about 16 1/2 inches long.
It's going to give us an overall width measurement, going this direction, we're looking at about 7 inches. Then when it comes to the height, bottom to top, we're looking at about 4 inches tall. With this part number you're going to get 1 fender, and the fender itself is going to weigh 2.6 pounds. That's going to do it for today's look at part CE17717.

These fenders worked great to achieve my goal which was to make my log splitter road legal. I went to the expense of getting a vehicle title and got it registered and licensed. In order to comply with WA state law I needed to add tail lights and an illuminated license plate holder. The fenders were key to accomplish the goal.

They are working great. They cover the wheels but dont interfere with wood splitter operation. They are strong enough to withstand the occasional piece of firewood that gets knocked into it.
This was a great deal and exactly what I needed. This could probably be mounted 10 different ways and work just fine. Nice heavy stamped steel. I welded a small strip across for mounting, drilled a couple holes and loaded it with paint.
I replaced 2 junky plastic fenders that came with this trailer new. They were not providing much protection. I could stand on these new ones if I needed to.
So for a little more effort, and actually less money (than plastic) these will last longer than I will.

A year later I see these have held up well. When I load the kayaks, I do step on these unintentionally from time to time and they have proven strong. A plastic fender will break the first time you bump it with your kayak. My kayaks are protected better now then when the trailer was new. I still recommend these over plastic replacements.
This fender is the economy fender.
I can tell you that it can't be beat for the price.
Way better than expected.
The trailer is custom built for my handicapped scooter.
It's an off road scooter and kind of big.
Will send another picture when the trailer is powder coated.

Perfect! Tractor is done and looks great!
I would have given this product a 5 start rating however it was oily and I received two nasty cuts on my hand and finger. I washed it first then sanded it down. Aside from that, it was well packaged and definitely well made. My plan is to paint it and install on my 2022 Maddog scooter.
These weld on fenders have been a nice addition to my homemade trailer. It gives it a finished look.

The trailer with your fenders has been used during the mowing season to haul my zero turn mower from site to site. The fenders have worked out great to keep my trailer wheels from throwing road paving materials.
These fenders are very heavy duty compared to others I have bought. I build mini bikes for fun and and am always looking for parts that can be used for them. These will be easy to weld and the thickness is more than I expected. They fit the 4.80 x 8 tires perfectly. Great product and the shipping was fast and inexpensive! Leading edge of one side is warped and wobbly, looks very inexpensively stamped.
I bought one of these to reproduce a missing fender on a Coleman minibike. If you’re handy and have some basic tools, you can outfit your small trailer or whatever with one of these sturdy fenders.

Sold the minibike with this fender, but I’m sure the fender is still fending.
Very easy to install, only have to drill 3 holes in each fender and bolt up!
The quality was good delivery was a little late considering I paid for three days and much more and I would really appreciate an installation kit offered with the fender.. tried like hell to find one on your inventory and could not gave up but I still got my stuff and it's in good shape so that's why I give you excellent

Fenders working very good, I fabricated my own brackets. Powdercoated everything.
First impressions, WOW, these fenders are super beefy and well made. Much heavier than I expected. Good deal.
Arrived quickly as all orders I've placed with E-trailer. good price. Modified this for a motorcycle project, but would have been good on a small trailer.
