I’ve owned six chevy trucks. My current trusted steed is a 2008, silverado 2500HD, ext cab, long box. I bought it new and now have 339,000 miles on her. I added this bug shield to offer more protection and grace. It worked! Love it.

Install went ok, some of the red plastic you pull off the adhesive broke off and would not come off. Hope it will not effect long term performance of bug shield.

It sounds like some of the red plastic that protects the adhesive was not removed. If that is the case, the guard may not stick to the vehicle as well as it should. I would carefully take a small razor blade to slide under the red plastic layer and pull it away from the adhesive. If you damaged or removed the adhesive then you can find some more adhesive tape at a local hardware or automotive store.

I put one on my van just like this about four years ago. A big rock broke a chunk out of it, so I needed to R&R. The rock didn't damage the van at all, the deflector worked great & took the hit. So I simply replaced it with the same one. Very satisfied!

It fit fine. Only issue was with the first hole on the drivers side. It was either thin or drilled a bit larger as the screw for it would not bite and hold. I used a clip I had on hand for this and it worked fine.

Weather Tech products are great fit and finish. Etrailer shipped my bug shield order out quickly and arrived undamaged. This is not my first order from Etrailer. I’ve bookmarked their web page and they are one of my vendors of choice when I need something for our RV.

After a year on the vehicle and a lengthy camping trip last season. The bug deflector still looks like new. I’ll also add I noticed my class C RV drives down the road better. I think because the deflector is causing less wind to build up under the front cap and windshield.

I have purchased and used WeatherTech products in the past, always had good quality and concise installation instructions. I recently added the Stone and Bug deflector on my 2019 Colorado, it looks great. Having a new windshield installed because of a stone crack, hope to avoid these in the future.

Great quality, good fit overall…BUT, once again WeatherTech is “cheaping out” on their fasteners! Those ridiculous plastic push pin type fasteners DO NOT inspire confidence at all…the etrailer installation video acknowledged this. Come on WeatherTech…these things are IMPORTANT!!
