CE Smith double U-bolt bolster brackets installed on a boat trailer

Bolster-and-swivel-bracket assemblies are typically mounted upright on a boat trailer's crossmembers. They allow a mounted bunk board, which runs from the front of the trailer to the back, to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes. On kayak trailers, these brackets are mounted to the trailer's frame and support bunk boards that run across the trailer.


Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

What I loved: VERY solid construction. Never have to worry about that part giving out.
Recommended u-bolts were a perfect match.
How to install video was really helpful.
Installation was relatively quick (counting removal of old roller parts and installation of new bunk hardware and bunks: just under two hours).
Adjustable height of bracket and ability to change angle of bunk made it easy to match the fit of the new bunks to the hull.

Very pleased with ordering process and delivery. Especially liked that when one part of my order was not available right away (no big delay), I was given the choice to have the first part shipped immediately or wait until the entire order was ready (my choice).
