Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we take a look at the Surface Mount Waterproof Dragon LED Oval Bolt Accent Light with the white LEDs. Now, this is a nice small oval LED light. It'll provide a nice bright white light for your boat. So this light is great for upgrading or replacing any accent or courtesy lighting.
The light output on this light is 32 Lumens, and it does give off a flood beam to help eliminate a wide area. Now, at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright it is. But I first want to go over a few features on it. The software is a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible. Does have an IP 68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes.
And this light is a military grade construction of a circuit board. They use the urethane potting, which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting, and the LEDs they use, they're premium LEDs. They are energy efficient, long lasting and vibration resistant, and a rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. It is a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens. And as you can see, it is a clear lens over four wide LEDs.
It is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. And as we mentioned, you can see the two holes on each side. It is a Surface Mount installation. We do even sell a protective cover that'll go over this to give you a nice, finished look. They are listed on this product page as a related product.
They are sold separately. Now the hardware is not included. This does hard wire to your application. It contains two wires, your ground and your power wire, and it gives you a wire length of about nine inches. The input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts, power draws 0.04 to 0.07 amps. Give you the dimensions, and then we're going to hook it up to some power. So the length, which is going to include the mounting tabs, that's going to be right at 1 and 3/8 inches long. The width on it, it's going to be right at 3 quarters of an inch. And the depth or thickness of it, is going to be right at half an inch. The distance between the mounting holes center to center is right at 1 inch. So we're going to do now, is go ahead and hook up to some power, and then we'll turn it on. So we're all hooked up. Go ahead and turn our 12 volt power on, and with it on you'll see the four LEDs. The white LEDs will light up, gives a nice bright flood beam. Going to go turn off the overhead lights and you can see how wide a light it does give off. Lights up a pretty wide area. Actually, I'm going to just zoom out so you can actually see how the four LEDs, the area does light up. Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights, and we'll turn off our power, but that should do it for the review on the Surface Mount Waterproof Dragon LED Oval Boat Accent Light with the white LEDs..
