Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take at look at this TecNiq, Recessed Mount, Waterproof, Blue LED, Livewell Boat Light. Now this is a nice small round LED light that provides a nice, bright blue light to illuminate your boat's livewell. It can also be used for step and walkway lighting. It is a sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP 68 rating, uses a durable impact resistant lens. And as you can see, it's a clear lens over one blue LED.

Now at the end of this video, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power, just to show you how bright the light is and the color of the light. But I first want to go over some of the features on the light. It does use a premium LED, which is energy efficient, long lasting and vibration resistant. It's rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. And they do use military grade construction of the circuit board on this light.

So they use urethane potting, which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a recessed mount installation. You can see it comes with this threaded nylon nut, and then there's two rubber gaskets right here. So when you go to install this, the two rubber gaskets will create a nice weather-tight seal and also protect your boat's finish.

And then you just tighten this nut down to install it. Now it will require a three quarter inch diameter hole for this light to fit into, for installation. And this does hardwire to your application. You can see it has two wires in this nice protective sheeting, a power and a ground wire. Wire length is about nine inches long.

Dimensions on this, the diameter on this light is just under an inch. So it's gonna be right at, about 15/16ths of an inch. And the depth of it is the same, right at about 15/16ths of an inch. Has input voltage of nine volts to 14 volts. So what we're gonna get to do now is hook this up to some 12 volt power. And once we get that all connected, go ahead and turn on our power and now with our power on, you can see this single blue LED. I'll go ahead and turn off the overlight. And you can see, how it gives you a nice bright blue area lit up and also just wanted to zoom out to give you an idea from a distance, how much area it gives out. And again, it's designed for a livewell, but as I mentioned, you could also use this on step or walkway lighting. Go ahead and zoom back in. Gonna turn on our overhead light.
