Made in USA

Features to know about

Wide, Step-Like Treads

The extra-wide, slip-resistant treads feel more like steps than rungs. Wet feet have room to plant, which helps when you're guiding a child up the ladder or helping your dog climb out after a swim.

Support Where You Need It

The side rail gives you a solid place to grab as you come out of the water, while the tall top rail helps steady you as you finish the climb onto the deck, even when the boat is rocking or sitting in light chop.

Easy Stowage After a Swim

When swim time is over, you pull the strap to lift the ladder and let the water drain as it comes up. That keeps it lighter to handle and ready for the next stop without holding onto extra water.

Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Boat Ladders - Boat Stern Ladder - LC96FC

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're talking about the Lippert Retractable Boat Stern Ladder. Five steps, 400 pounds capacity, stainless steel and aluminum. What's not to love, right You're not gonna have to worry about rust, corrosion. The black, powder coated aluminum steps are gonna give you durability and rust prevention and UV resistance and the stainless steel handles are gonna give you great holding power and longevity as well.

Now, coming from the top down, you can see you've got three steps in the bottom. These are roughly oh, four inches wide. This next one's about as wide as my hand, and in the top one is about 12 inches deep I believe. And this is gonna be great for whenever you're getting outta the water, you're progressively getting bigger and bigger steps. You have a lot safer hold.

Coming from the side here, you can see that stainless steel hand rod I was talking about, nice and sturdy. Obviously I don't have anything bolted down. You do get an adhesive pad here giving you extra grip and traction, that's gonna get placed right there whenever you get everything installed. You get a couple of these, I believe, nylon blocks here, sorry about that. And you get the stainless steel hardware as well, which would go in a couple of these holes along with the other holes for mounting and whatnot.

So again, you get a nice kit here by Lippert. And I do wanna come around to the front and show you real quick some measurements. From the top here, all the way down to the very bottom part here, it's in the water. I got 62 and a half inches tall overall. And then from the part at the very base of the water up to this top part right here, which is more or less level with the boat, that's 42 inches tall from there down to the bottom.

Now if I was inside the boat, I'd be able to reach down, grab this strap, and then pull this up and retract it up and into the boat. So how cool is that So easy to manipulate, easy to deploy, and to use, just use gravity when it's time to go back down and nice and slowly lift the strap down and then back into the water you go. So you can do all your boating activities, et cetera. Coming back here on the back, as far as the footprint for mounting, if I measure from roughly the front of this to the back curve of the installation bracket, I'm about 15 inches deep. And outside to outside I'm right about 23 inches wide, outside to outside on that mounting area. So about 15 inches deep, 23 inches wide. Overall, that's gonna be the space you're gonna need to get this mounted to be able to use it on your boat. So once again, folks, 400 pounds capacity. If you're a bigger person like myself and taller, this would be a great option. I've done some lake adventures in my day, some tubing and skiing and whatnot, and this would definitely a lot easier to get up in those cheaper versions, if you will. Some of the stock ones out there. Folks, I'm Steven with etrailer, thanks again for your time. I hope this information has been helpful for you.
