Video Transcript for CIPA Round, Convex HotSpot Mirror Spec Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CM 48602. This is the CPO round convex hot spot mirror. The hot spot mirror is going to help eliminate dangerous blind spots when you're driving. It's going to let you safely and easily pass or change lanes. It's going to feature a convex mirror face that's going to provide a wide field of vision, which, again, is going to help eliminate blind spots when you're driving. Here on the back side, where it attaches to the L bracket, this is going to be a ball and socket joint that's going to let you rotate the mirror in all directions, that way you can get the perfect angle for your particular application.

The housing is going to be made from a durable steel construction. It's actually stainless steel, so it's going to be highly resistant towards rust and corrosion. It's designed to easily install on either side of your vehicle. It's going to have the universal L-shaped bracket. This is included for a quick, bolt-on installation. Now, in some cases, you can attach this mirror to the mirror on your vehicle.

That situation is going to be typically found on older vehicles that have those large mirror brackets that extend out from the vehicle, but this mirror has a lot of different purposes that it can be used for. We've had people that apply them to trailers, campers, vans, RVs, farm equipment, and the list just goes on. There's a lot of different applications that you can use hot spot mirrors for, so this would be great. Again, universal bracket, so you could easily get it bolted on to a variety of mounted locations and applications. With this part number, you're going to get one blind spot mirror. The last thing we're going to do is simply just take a measurement of the diameter real quick.
