Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Hot Spot Mirror 3-3/4" Round Convex Stick On

Today we're taking a look at the CIPA 3 3/4 inch Rotating Spot Mirror. This is a great mirror for use on your larger mirrored vehicles, so like your trucks. This is going to be a good option for putting on an already existing towing mirror to fill in any of the gaps that might exist there. The larger mirrored vehicles, I think, would certainly be what this is geared towards. If you're putting it on smaller mirrors, you're going to lose a lot of that factory mirror. So you just want to keep that in mind. Mounts on the backside here, and then this interior part actually swivels to allow us to rotate this 360 degrees.

Your field of view is going to expand the opposite of the thickest part, so whichever direction that you want to see a widened field of view, you want that thicker part to be opposite of it. Then that's going to open that up with the convex mirror shape. Now you will want to clean your mirror's surface with some rubbing alcohol, just to make sure you get good adhesion. Pull the cover off and apply it to your mirror. Now once installed, you'll see the adjustability that's offered with our mirror here. It has individual clicks that are going to hold it in position.

So we never have to worry about it moving on its own, but this is really going to allow us to . If we we're backing up and we really wanted to see our tire, we could set it in this position, that's going to come down more. As we're towing and we want to see where our trailer is, we can move that out. The options are really unlimited to allow you to customize your view and to be able to see exactly where you want to see, whatever the situation might be necessary. Let's head out on the road and we'll see what kind of difference this mirror can really make as we travel down the highway. That's going to conclude our look at the CIPA Adjustable Hot Spot Mirror, part number 49304..

Although etrailer had a clear photo of the convex adhered to the same mirror that I have on my Ram 2500, they are substantially larger than I expected. Needless to say, I ordered a smaller set since these are too large for my liking.

I bought these mirrors because there were blind spots with my GM towing mirrors. These solved the problem.

I've placed a few different orders with etrailer over time...delivery has always been excellent, along with the product being as expected.

Using these Hot Spot 3.75" round convex adjustable mirrors solely as my side window mirrors on my street rod.. Had to be this size to meet PA inspection requirements. Impressed with etrailer's sevrice on all items that I have ordered.

As always great service from etrailer.... Mirrors showed a little larger than I was looking for, returned and ordered 2" with same 360' rotation. Great adjustment range that stays in place.
by:
The mirrors came in about a week and work perfect.
Thanks

Love these mirrors. They work as advertised and stay clear, vs. the last pair of standard stickons that instantly became cloudy when rinsing the car with cold water on a hot day.

Great product at low price and fast delivery.

Hello,
Yes you can use my install for feedback.
Only thing is I should have checked to see if you had not sure what they are called but “ brackets “ that go around bars for mirror mount would be nice to have a choice of size. Hard to find and would have saved me shipping and made a bigger sale.
??Maybe you could put a pop up
“ wait before you go, have you considered mounting hardware? What size pipe are you going to mount mirror to? “??
Anyway here is mine.
I Needed to put extension mirrors and wanted square ones to match and found them on your site. I still need to figure out one mount need like a 3” arm and a 1-1/2” and 1” clamps to stabilize passenger mirror.
Two things I didn’t like was..
1, the loose mirrors inside the plastic housing probably going to just put clear silicone on edges.
2, the sticker ....
“ objects in mirrors are closer than they appear “
has glue that’s hard to remove and leaves a residue
. Cling on label would have been better.

I mounted these mirrors on our Winnebago Ford E350 chassis. It has the standard Velvac mirrors with the stick-on blind spot mirrors. The stick-ons used up a lot of my flat glass real estate, making it harder to see behind us. To upgrade the Velvacs would have cost a few hundred dollars. Over a two week period I devised a couple of mounting solutions. I bought two 5/16" ubolts to mount onto the mirror arms. The radius was large enough I used fuel line to pad and insulate the ubolts. One thing I appreciate about these mirrors are the wrench flats on the 1/4" stud and the fact that the tension can be adjusted on the ball joint. etrailer good service as usual.

I ordered the wrong size. Should have ordered a 3”

Bought the custom extensions mirrors for my Silverado to aid in backing up our new camper trailer. Easy to install and remove. Videos were a great help. They not only helped in parking the camper but added a great deal of visibility while driving which makes for a safer trip.

Great price fst shipping

Good match for the old mirrors. Good price, fast shipping.
by:
Very good rectangular mirrors for my van.
Easy to install on existent mirrors.
When first installed, one fell off. Fortunately, it was in the parking lot. Reinstalled it and it’s still fine after a year.
You can see the edge of the glass very slightly. Not really a problem.
I would recommend this product.
by:
These stick on mirrors are great very useful and still look like brand new for a year old.. They adjust perfectly for that blind spot.
by:
I liked this mirror so well on the driver's side, I ordered a second one for the passenger side of my '06 Dodge Sprinter View. Now I have a good side View on both sides of my View! etrailer is a Rock Star!
by:
I needed a spot mirror that would eliminate a blind spot. I mounted this mirror under the original mirror on the mirror arm. Fit perfectly and only took 1 minute to install.
by:
Greatly improves rear visibility

  • Recommended Towing Mirrors for 2003 Ford F-350
If you have manual mirrors, I recommend the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Manual - Driver and Passenger Side, # KS61067-68F. These are custom fit mirrors for your vehicle that extend 21-1/2 inches from the side of your truck when extended and 18 inches when retracted. I've attached a video review of this product for you. The mirror faces are adjustable for you. If you want the power, heated version of these mirrors, I recommend the # KS61095-96F.

  • Looking For Mirror To Help With Visibly On 2019 Nissan Kicks
Hello Carrie. Gotta watch out for those curbs, they'll get ya'! We do have some mirror options that can work on your 2019 Nissan Kicks. If you are looking to add a simple blind spot mirror, the Hot Spot Mirror # 49304 is what I recommend for that. It sticks on to the factory mirror and has a 3-34/" diameter adjustable mirror surface. Should help add some visibility for those turns. If you are wanting a mirror extension, the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # CM11980-2 will clip on to the...

  • Hot Spot Mirror Recommendations for a CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror # 11650
Yes, CIPA does sell blind spot mirrors that you can attach to the CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror, part # 11650. I attached a page that has all of the CIPA convex blind spot mirrors for you to check out. I would recommend the Hot Spot Mirror 3-3/4 inch Round Convex Stick On, part # 49304. This mirror measures 3-3/4 inches in diameter and can rotate 360 degrees to allow you to adjust the angle and view of the mirror as you like. This mirror is setup on an angle so when you rotate the mirror...

  • Can a Stick On Hot Spot Mirror be Used on a 2011 Chevy Silverado with Heated Mirrors
The best option for a hot spot mirror for the heated mirrors on your 2011 Chevy Silverado would probably be a stick on mirror like # 49304 that you have referenced. However, depending on how hot the factory heated mirrors get, it may cause the adhesive on a stick on mirror to loosen up and the mirror will fall off. The factory heated mirrors will heat up whether there is a stick on hot spot mirror or not so it will not affect the performance of the factory mirrors.

  • Recommend Mirrors to Tow an Eight Foot Wide Trailer with 2004 GMC Safari
Yes, the item you selected, Longview Custom Towing Mirrors for 2004 GMC Safari, part # CTM1200, will work well for towing your 8 foot wide trailer. I recommend these mirrors because they fit directly over your factory mirrors. I would also recommend using a mirror for the blind spot of your vehicle that will help you when turning and changing lanes. I would recommend the Hot Spot Mirror 3-3/4 inch Round Convex Stick On, part # 49304, because it is adjustable and will stick directly to...

  • Availability of Convex Drivers Side Mirror
For a convex mirror, your best bet would be to use an adjustable stick on hot spot mirror like part # 49304. We do not offer any slip on or replacement drivers side mirrors with a convex lens. Having a convex mirror on the drivers side would cause you to have a distorted view that would make objects seem closer than they really were, which could be dangerous.
