Installed my 2” hitch but don’t have a 2” bike trailer yet. I purchased this to continue to use my 1.25” bike trailer (until I find a deal).
Used this over Thanksgiving weekend on I35 in Texas (tons of traffic)and I’m very pleased with the performance. I’m was secure and bikes traveled just fine.

I ordered this adapter from e-Trailer so I could extend my bike rack past my spare tire on my 2005 Honda CRV. This solved my problem and this thing is well made to take the weight. I'm glad I purchased from e-trailer because I know now that they sell quality products as I have also purchased a new receiver, ball mount and 2' ball to pull my trailer. If your goal is quality, great service and fast shipping then e-Trailer is one company to go with.
This has worked great to reduce my 2" hitch so that I can continue to use my 1 1/4" Thule bike rack, and I like that it doesn't extend out much from the hitch. After my last trip though, the inset separated from the larger piece. I can still use it, but without the smaller piece fixed in place, I can't put it on the car first and then slide the bike rack into it since the smaller piece slides, and it's impossible to line the holes up. It's also rusted more than I expected. It wasn't inexpensive, and I was hoping it would last longer. I've used it for maybe a dozen trips.
Perfect fit BUT the inner tube broke away from the outer tube after about a dozen trips. One small weld on the outside corner is all that holds it on. The small amount of play must have been too much for it. I was even using an anti-rattle lock pin. Very disappointing due to the price point. And now it’s unsafe to use as it could slip right out of the receiver.
This was exactly what I needed to make my hitch work on a Grand Caravan. The adjustable hitch was too close to the bumper after installing the Curt receiver hitch.
Allows me to use my back rack and small boat trailer without having to remove the spare tire on my Jeep Wrangler. Works well.

I needed my bike to clear my bumper on a front hitch and this did the trick.
This extender is hollow so I was able to use anti rattle/ lock before adding bike rack.
Solidly made. Wish all of these would come with optional locking pins and clamps to minimize movement as I use mine primarily for a bike rack with very nice bikes aboard.
This adapter allows us to use a bike rack we have across all our cars. It is perfect for light duty applications, easy to use and it can be stored in the trunk until you need it. I would definitely recommend it.

It works great I kinda wish I had gotten two of them ‘mmmm
Just received my 80307 Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 8" Long. My newly upsized spare tire had been preventing the use of my hitch rack. Was very pleased with the etrailer service and the ease of using the website. The excellent descriptions, photos, and even videos really help shopping for these types of specialty parts. Shipping went well and expediently. I trial fit the extension with my hitch rack today, and the photos are attached. It fit well and did the trick. I drove around and heard no rattles from it at all.
I recently had a hitch installed on my car. Since the cargo carrier that I have was used previously without an adapter, I assumed that I didn't need one. Now trying to locate one was more of an effort than locating a hitch. The local auto parts stores of national brands don't keep them in stock. One store made an inquiry but didn't give me much hope. Now I can make a rode trip in confidence that the carrier will be secure as I head down the interstate.
Quality product and excellent service from etrailer.com! The Hitch Extender works well allowing me to back my boat trailer further into the deeper water.
The fact that it's steel is a plus, and it extends the hitch so that the bike rack that's attached now is far enough away from the hatch to not bang against it. Great product!

Ordered for our Kuat rear mount bike rack, as our SUV had a larger hitch receiver. Well built, clean machining and a perfect fit. Fast shipping and exactly as advertised. Great communication surrounding the order. Couldn't recommend more.
The Curt C45785 1.25 inch to 2 inch hitch adapter seems well-constructed, but does NOT fit the current SPA Volvo OEM 1.25 inch automatic retractable hitch receptacle (mine is on a 2020 V60 Cross country). The lock pin hole doesn't go back far enough to accommodate the pin -- see photo.
Thank you for the personal touch on the order. Not many company's do this. This is a good product and a good price.
My car sits low and we needed to raise the carrier up. Looks like this will work out.
I bought this adapter so that I could mount a bike rack on the back of my 2012 Honda Civic. The adapter got the bikes high enough so that they wouldn't hit the pavement when backing out of my driveway and transitioning to the street. The product is definitely strong and well made. It was put to the test with a very heavy steel thule bike rack that was definitely heavier than all 4 of the bikes that were mounted on it. The fit was precise so it didn't hit my rear bumper as well.
I put a 1.25" trailer hitch on a Ford Fusion Hybrid so I could mount one of my cargo baskets that require a 2" hitch on it. It worked fine to allow for this.

Working fine for me. It sticks out from behind car, but I like it this way as to reach it.
Wanted this adapter so I could use my 1 1/4" bike rack on my 2" hitch. Sized is reduced by welded steel plates inside the reducer. Poor tolerances. Was more like 1 3/8" inside width, so my 1 1/4" bike rack mount flops over to one side or the other.

Another great product from etrailer. This item along with my recent hitch purchase is the "one two" punch for quality products and service. Etrailer is absolutely the best. Would highly recommend their products and great service to everyone that is looking for quality at an incredible price.
We were looking for a solution to haul our utv when pulling our camper. This extender allowed us to leave the tailgate down and still have enough clearance to not damage the tailgate. Downside--this extender amplifies the amount of movement with the hitch. This is more than a simple hitch clamp could fix. I added several modifications to completely eliminate the hitch movement. We have taken several trips since the installation and no issues with pulling the trailer. We did have to extend the safety chains about 4 links. Overall a good product and it accomplished the goal. As always, etrailer personnel are knowledgeable, easy to deal with and have quick shipments.
My truck has a 2-1/2" receiver. I already owned a heavy duty 2" hitch. This 2" reducer & extender was perfect for my use. I used it to tow a rental trailer and needed to extend my receiver to allow me to tow with the tailgate down. This reducer/extender did the trick. I had plenty of room making tight u-turns.
The quality of the product is very good. I would recommend this product to others.
Hi, John with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2019 Acura RDX So why aluminum Well, with a carrier this large, the steel ones, can get kind of heavy, this one only weighs 18 pounds. You can put it in by yourself. It's also not gonna rust. You don't have to worry about that. So if you need to make room for pets or you're looking for space on the inside of your vehicle, this is a great option.
Today on our 2015 Acura RDX, we're going to take a look at and test fit the Detail K2 Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier, this is 20x60. Designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it's going to offer a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is K2HCC602. As you can see we've loaded the carrier down here with a 100 pounds, we've got 50 pounds on each bag and it's going to give you a pretty stable ride but that wiggle and that movement is going to be pretty common for a cargo carrier that is secured to the vehicle with just a pin and clip. Now we've got anti rattle or anti wobble devices available if you decide you can go that route with it. Here at the rear, let's go over our ground clearance and see kind of what we've got, it looks like it's going to be about 10 inches there. Looks like we've added about 32 1/4 inches to the length of the Acura and in it's closest point to the rear of our vehicle, our carrier is going to be about 11 1/4 inches away.
Today on our 2015 Acura RDX, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Curt 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier. Now this has a 500 pound capacity. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. The part number on it is C18153. As you can see we've got a 100 pounds loaded up here in the carrier and just pretty typical with a cargo carrier that is secured using the hitch pin and clip, you're going to have some movement and some shake and some wiggle side to side. That's not how we get them to keep it nice and steady.
Clayton: Hey guys, how's it going Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2009 Acura RDX. We'll be taking a look at the etrailer aluminum cargo carrier for two inch receiver tubes. This cargo carrier, like I said, is constructed out of aluminum. That's awesome because it's super light and easy to move around. Some cargo carriers can be a horse to carry in and out of the garage or really hard to store.
I was able to verify for you that the factory crossbars on your 2022 Acura RDX are indeed compatible with the 16 cubic foot Motion XT cargo box, which is the following part number:
- Thule Motion XT L Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629706
Not only will the Motion XT # TH629706 fit on the crossbars of your '22 RDX, it will also allow you to fully open your rear hatch without any interference.
So with the Motion XT you are getting a perfectly fitting cargo box that is also low-profile,... view full answer...
Since you won't be able to find a scooter or motorcycle carrier that fits a 1-1/4 inch hitch your best option would be to install a 2 inch hitch on your 2021 Acura RDX like the Draw Tite part # 76268 which has more than enough capacity and would work great with a carrier like the part # UF48-979033 you mentioned. view full answer...
I can tell you the amount of height the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629706 will add when mounted, but I don't have a way to know the height from the roof to the top of your crossbars on a 2021 Acura RDX.
So you'll need to take a quick measurement to get that, and when mounted, the Motion XT # TH629706 will add 15-1/2 inches of height from the top of your crossbars, according to Thule. So you'll just add 15-1/2 inches to whatever measurement you get from the roof to... view full answer...
The Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629706 is a fit for the factory crossbars of your 2021 Acura RDX and would be a really great choice. There are bigger boxes that will fit the crossbars but the size of the Motion XT would be ideal for your size vehicle and would be a good balance between cargo carrying capacity and allowing the rear hatch to open. view full answer...
I confirmed with Thule that the internal dimensions of the Thule Force XT Sport # TH6356B is 70.5 inches long x 20.5 wide x 14.75 inches high. As long as your 2 sets of golf clubs fit within those dimensions, they will fit in the cargo box.
If you discover that you need a bit more width and height, I recommend the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Glossy # TH629706. The Thule Motion XT has interior dimensions of 69 inches long x 31-1/2 inches wide x 15 inches... view full answer...
Thank you for your purchase of the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07070.
I checked with Yakima for you, and can verify that the LoadWarrior will fit your 2020 Acura RDX with the factory roof rack. The only other thing you may want if you didn't get them are locking brackets to help protect your investment; you can lock the LoadWarrior to your crossbars by adding the Locking Brackets with SKS Cores # Y07064.

The Reese cargo carrier part # 63153 that you referenced would do a great job carrying the bike case you have that measures 47 inch by 30 inch by 10 inch. This will fit well in the Draw Tite hitch # 76238 that you have installed on your 2020 Acura RDX as well.
For a set of cam buckle straps to then secure the box to the carrier the # E98876-4 would be a really great solution as well. I attached a review video for these for you to check out as well. view full answer...
You're right that the Inno Ridge Rooftop Cargo Box - 8 cu ft - Gloss Black # INBRA220R-BK is contoured to sit lower around past the crossbars. This is for a more aerodynamic shape to cause less drag. Because of the way this cargo box mounts and the unique setup of your Winnebago Travato's roof rack system you would have to use some sort of crossbars to mount to. We don't have anything that would fit that small of gap between your rails, but since you're open to modification you... view full answer...
Cargo Boxes such as the Thule # TH6357B Force XT aren't vehicle specific, but if the roof rack on your 2019 Acura RDX has a bar spread (span between center of front crossbar and center of rear crossbar) that can be adjusted so it's between 23-5/8 and 33 inches apart and the crossbars are 3-1/2 inches wide and 1-11/16 inches tall or less, the Thule # TH6357B Force XT roof cargo box will work great for you.

For a Class I hitch you'd need a Class I compatible cargo carrier like the Curt part # C18145 which would fit and work well. This carrier measures 17 by 46 inches and has more than enough capacity. It weighs 29 lbs too. You will need to subtract the 29 pounds from your 150 pound limit, so you will be able to carry a total of 121 pounds of cargo. view full answer...
In order to determine if the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629806 you referenced would allow your rear hatch to open you'd need to take one measurement. You'd need to measure from the center of the front crossbar back to the rear hatch seam on the roof of your 2019 Acura RDX. You'd need that distance to be more than 51-1/4 inches for this to fit and allow the hatch to open completely.
We also offer this box in glossy silver with part # TH629807. view full answer...
Both the Draw-Tite and Curt 2" Class 3 receivers will be able to accommodate the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874. I do recommend going with the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver # C95CR as this is made in the USA and typically will have higher quality powder coat paint to do a better job of resisting rust and corrosion. Another reason to go with the Curt is because Draw-Tite states that spare tires 18" and smaller will fit, but Curt states that all sizes will work. view full answer...
You've got a lot of great options for your 2018 Acura RDX. With the vehicle being so new, there's fits being added for the vehicle all the time.
Normally, you'd need to take a clearance measurement to fit the box. You'd do this by measuring from the center of the front crossbar to the line where the hatch meets the roof. Any box you pick will need to have a minimum clearance of less than this number to fit to your vehicle.
Without a roof rack, however, this is a little... view full answer...
The Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB would work great on your 2015 Acura RDX, but you will first need to install a roof rack with crossbars to allow it to install.
For that the Rhino Rack roof rack that consists of part numbers # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, # DK337 would be all that you would need. With this installed the cargo basket would fit and work well. view full answer...
Here's how you will figure out if the Thule Cargo Box part # TH614 will interfere with the rear hatch of your vehicle.
You will need to slide your front crossbar as far forward as possible (it it's adjustable), and then you will need to measure from the center of the bar to the seam of the rear hatch. If that measurement you took is more than 42-5/8 inches then the rear hatch will open without interference.
If you need a box with less clearance required check out the chart... view full answer...
The overall width of the Rola part # 59109 is 53 inches. You'd have to measure the distance between your rear brake lights to know if this would block that. With the third brake light above on the hatch of your vehicle you'd be very safe. Additionally, the Rola # 59109 has taillights built in for when you get the trailer wiring installed on your 2014 Acura RDX like the 4-way part # 118569 which I attached an install video for. view full answer...
