How High Above Crossbars Does Thule Motion XT L Cargo Box Sit

Question:

Looking to buy the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box for our 2021 Acura RDX w/ factory rails and crossbars. What is the overall height from the factory rails/crossbars to the top of the box? I only have a 84inch garage door . . . wondering if this will allow enough clearance to fit inside w/o taking the box off.

I can tell you the amount of height the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629706 will add when mounted, but I don't have a way to know the height from the roof to the top of your crossbars on a 2021 Acura RDX.

So you'll need to take a quick measurement to get that, and when mounted, the Motion XT # TH629706 will add 15-1/2 inches of height from the top of your crossbars, according to Thule. So you'll just add 15-1/2 inches to whatever measurement you get from the roof to the top of your crossbars and that will tell you if you can get your RDX in your garage with the cargo box on.
