Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires
Re: Install on a 2000 Chevy K3500 LS Full size Pickup 4x4 This Kit and instructions are very handy and included just about everything you will need. You may need an additional 25' or so of 12g wire, per directions to run Brake Controller + Power and - Ground to battery. This info is specific to the above vehicle. Trying to even see or much less reach the brake pedal switch or wiring, and work on it, even with removing all dash panels is a no go. Per help I received from etrailer support, there is a small white wire going up the steering column in a large bundle of wiring. What I found: The Left side of bundle has the smaller gauge wire that is only hot when brake pedal is depressed. (There are 2 larger gauge white wires on right side of bundle, not them) Here's what I did: remove plastic panel below steering wheel, 4 screws at bottom edge and spring clips across middle upper part, pull out slowly and gently. Remove emergency brake handle by pushing in on plastic clips on either side. Then turn clip on cable retainer so cable can go out thru it. Remove heater hose to vent of panel by twisting, pulling down gently. Remove metal panel under center of steering wheel, 2 screws, and push heater tube out of that. Possibly remove large metal panel surrounding that - 4 screws, easy. Use included test probe to verify small white wire is cold until brake depressed. Clip ground wire to flange of metal support tube, gently push test probe tip into wire. Gently cut and peel back rubber boot and possibly a tape wrap to get good access to wire. Attach splice wire that will go to Red wire on Brake Controller. Tape splice and re wrap up the wires and boot. Put back together.
I purchased this wiring kit along with a Curt hitch about a year ago for my '13 Ford Edge. I didn't start the project until late spring time. The kit came with everything needed to get 12volts, brake control and a chassis ground from the hitch area to the front of the vehicle. The Ford Edge was a challenge to route the wiring cables ( also the power wire for the rear lights ) as the underside of the SUV is pretty smooth in places as it is a uni-body design. I was able to tuck the cables behind the plastic inner fenders and use many plastic zip ties elsewhere. Finding a path up front from underneath to the battery area was challenging, I found a hole large enough behind the front plastic inner fender. If you follow the well written instructions and use a little creativity as well as possess some electrical skills this job will turn out well. Additionally I mounted the 7-blade connector to the lower plastic valance above the trailer hitch as it looks neater, using a 2 1/8" hole saw.

Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System - Gas
The RM-766 is a solid piece of hardware and comes with absolutely everything required for the install, right down to the "Tow" and "Drive" stickers for the switch. I use it to disconnect the battery in my 2016 Ford Edge 3.5L AWD, to help make it flat towable behind my RV. It works great and I do not have to open the hood and mess with battery cables while travelling. I like it.
Installed in 2016 Ford Edge Titanium. Had to buy additional cable connectors that were not included in the kit and instructions did not specify they were required. I would have given 5 stars if it was at least mentioned in the instructions.

Thule Bike Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes
Very easy and quick to install on the bike. Solid, very good construction. Definitely recommend this for the type of bikes eTrailer and Thule recommend them for when using their bike racks.
I bought this version because it is rated to 50 lbs and so it should work for the heavier electric bike. I have been using the lighter version for several years without any problems on my Thule bike rack.

Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories - 61" x 1" - Qty 1
This is a needed addition for support, if you think about it the further a lift is extended beyond the hitch with weight (powerchair) the weight is multiplied so the strap relieves some of that so that the hitch doesn't fail, just don't like that on a Chrysler 300 the only attachment point is the leading edge of trunk lid so that extra care not to damage paint is needed on checked frequently, just a heads up for all you buyers out there!
The product itself looks to be well fabricated to perform its task; however, the strap was recommended, in fact specified to maintain the warranty on the hitch when a carrier of any type is used. The strap is useless on my SUV and I would think most vehicles with a rear hatch whose upper edge is made of glass or plastic. Any effective tension on the strap sufficient to stabilize the carrier risks breaking either as the strap hooks over the top edge of the door.

Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz.
About a year ago, I purchased a brake controller and parts to install a 7-pin trailer connector on my Ford Edge. The installation all went well and I used the Dielectric Grease to seal the wire connections at the connector. My four-star rating was given simply because I don't know if the grease is working as I hope it is. Time will tell more years down the road. As a side note, I made an additional bracket to enclose both connectors (4-pin & 7-Ping, see photo) to keep the 4-Pin connector from sliding out of place because it was only retained on three sides without my bracket.
No issues yet so assume it worked

No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket - Short
The QUALITY of the product seems fine. I have yet to install the hitch and components. The PROBLEM is the packaging for shipping. The box arrived with both ends torn out and someone had retaped the box poorly. You can't ship a steel 50 lb awkward shaped trailer hitch in a cardboard box with NO PACKING to support it. The small parts such as the support bracket for the plug were crushed and the hardware missing. All three packages were shipped loose inside the larger box. All three were crushed by the hitch and broken open. All small hardware missing. I will replace them from hardware store.
On vacation, my boat trailer lights quit working (failure of the switching box).I screwed up the shipping address on my order for a replacement.. When I called customer service, the agent (Carol) bent over backwards to correct it. 2 hrs after I had placed the order, it was being packed at the warehouse; Carol escalated the address problem to her supervisor, found a patch and got the order shipping address changed before shipping. I got the package 2 days later! 1)quick shipping, 2)great customer service, 3)great tech assistance!

LED Light Kit for Draw-Tite, Tow Ready, Pro Series, and Rola Railed Cargo Carriers
The LED light kit was very good. To make it even better, provide longer wires, I added about 36" to better tuck the wiring along the edge allowing it to reach the truck plug in. Also, if the light connectors were at a 90 angle to the light it would maximize the available space. The way it is, light plugs coming straight out the back, they encroach on the cargo carried space by about an 1" or so. That said, the lights fit very nicely into the sockets and the lights work great, making me feel much better about having the cargo carrier hung on the back of my vehicle.
Everything went fine until I tried to hook the wires to my 2012 Ford Edge. The wiring on the Edge is in the center and the wiring I received seemed to be for wiring that went on the driver's side and not the center. Therefore the wire on the left was too short while the one on the right was too long. I went to an auto parts store and purchased a male/female extension which worked, but it was a chore and took an extra hour or so. the extension I purchased had a ground wire that I had to screw onto the frame of the car. If the wires were of equal length - Perhaps I purchased the wrong one - and were long enough, everything would have gone easy. I rose to the challenge and now everything is working fine.

Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar
Well designed product for my 2015 Ford Edge. The installation was fairly simple....the videos helped. The 2 bikes were secure and safe with the locks. A solid choice for bike trips.
Worked very well on my 2016 Ford Edge. We took our bikes on vacation and had no issues. I have not tried putting it on by myself but think I may need assistance. My husband was able to get it on the vehicle alone.

Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4)
I got these for my Yakima Offgrid cargo basket. Super easy to install. Thanks for the fast shipment.
These lock cores worked perfectly for my Yakima kayak rack. I can use the same key for all the locks and I feel much more secure knowing that someone can't steal my expensive rooftop car rack. So, 5 stars!

Received way earlier than was projected! Installation was a snap, quality of product is as advertised and it is exactly what I need for front end protection! Even with a mud flap on the coach there was still a tremendous amount of gravel hitting the pickup! NO MORE!! Strongly recommend!er

Light Kit for Draw-Tite, Tow Ready, and Rola Railed Cargo Carriers
Product arrived as promised. Simple straight forward install and professional appearing end product result and was less than what a local trailer center was charging.
This light kit is just what I needed to finish my new Rola Railed Cargo Carrier for a professional look that offers additional safety to me and other drivers while mounted on my vehicle. Installation was easy. The included zip-ties were very helpful. For additional protection, I added black polyethylene tubing over all wiring and a few more zip-ties. The fit of the light grommets in the available holes of my Rola Railed Cargo Carrier was a bit loose, but not enough for the lights to fall out. They look great and function well!

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles
This product does what it's supposed to. I bought it from here instead of a place like Amazon BECAUSE of the customer service! Best around. They listened to my point of view and helped me make a decision for ME.
eTrailer was very helpful in choosing the correct hitch for our rv and car. They also provided a special brake application in the car that makes it super easy for toad braking. I am 72, and I hook up this toad and pull it with confidence. The instructions to hook up the toad was presented with ease. They knew exactly what they were doing, and we didn't rush through the demonstration. I would recommend eTrailer to anyone.

Second Vehicle Kit for Roadmaster Even Brake Systems with Serial Numbers below 27,496
Delivered as described
Hooked up pretty easy. I have a 17 F150 and i already had a Hopkins brake light relay installed so didn't need to splice into the wiring like the directions had on here. Little confusing on the brake pedal wiring needing to hook into the ICX transmitter. I did it but I don't think it did anything in my install. I also ran a power wire all the way to the battery rather than fiddling with the fuse tap.

Trailer Hitch Spacer Block - 3" Long x 1" Wide x 1/4" Thick
Just what I needed . These guys have all the difficult parts to get at a fair price. Great service too!
A police car pulled into my lane and hit me head on. I escaped without injury but my car was totalled ( photo attached). I salvaged my brand new trailer hitch but the company that put it on would not install it on my new car because there were two bolts and spacers I was unable to recover. Luckily I learned they got the hitch from etrailer. I called and got Rose who was very friendly and helpful and soon had my parts on their way to me. Wish all my purchases were this easy.
What our customers are saying:
