Easy to use, functions as expected
Good fit & EZ to install.
Works like a charm, saves time
fits prefect on my 2010 town and country
This product saved me from drilling a hole in my new Hannigan Trike.
I received my package a day early and I installed my new trailer hitch in the same day. It took me about an hour to install it. I am very impressed with E trailer's service... I will defiantly will order again from E trailer. Thank you...
Really appreciated your quick responses with my recent order. Letting me know that you sent it, the great tracking information etc.
Thank you.
Functions well. Worm gear band slips off if you over tighten. I thought I had ruined it but I eventually got it to work.
Did not work on the round tube reciever hitch that was on this truck
Good quality and very strong mounting bracket. shipping from etrailer. I will definetely buy from here again.
It made the installation very easy. it came with all the hardware needed to make a good looking finish to the entire project.
Should have bought this when I bought the connector bracket.
The product worked perfect and was shipped extremely quick ....
very much pleased with ETRAILER and will be using them from now on for all my trailer needs ,,,,,,
the plate is fine but the strap to hold the plate on would not get tight. screw it until it was close then it would pop and be loose again. piece of garbage!!! had to go buy a new better one!!!
Discard the clampThe plate is great for mounting the plug connector. Open the package and toss the clamp. Buy a smaller clamp that actually can be tighten and loosen with ease. The one with the package is an engineering night mare.
Great product did everything they said it would do and more made installation of wiring harness so much easier and cleaner
A snap to install and exactly what I needed for my 05 Tacoma, since there are no great mount points for an aftermarket 7-way. Product quality is good - definitely not flimsy. Etrailer's ordering process and communications were excellent. I'll be back!
Like dealing with merchants in the good old days!I first ordered an LED trailer plug converter from Etrailer over a year ago. Worked perfect until I broke it by driving away from the trailer without unplugging it. Bought three more. Etrailer kept me updated on the progress of the order, etc. Followed up with emails letting me know that the were backordered but would arrive soon. I have no idea how small or large this company is but it reminds me of dealing with a Mom and Pop hardware store in the old (i.e. 50s and 60s) days!
I was concerned this bracket might be flimsy but that is not the case. I'm not sure I need it for my installation as my Draw Tite# 75586 hitch appears to have the mounting holes for the bracket already to accept the ETBC7 kit, however, the bracket would extend and lift the ETBC7 7-pin connector for easier access and added protection respectively. In any case, for the price I feel it is cheap insurance in case I do need it.
hitch installation video was helpful... bolt clearances on the passenger side above the muffler were very tight the space saver spare barely clears the hitch. The wiring harness 7 pin mounting only bolts to the plastic valance. There is no room for any other type of mounting.

Hey neighbor! Install of the 7-way looks great. What do you tow with your Palisade?
Thanks for the great video on installing the 7 pin adapter (ETBC7L). The video was even on a Toyota Grand Highlander - my exact vehicle. I didn't like how low the video installed the bracket, so I made a few bends to this bracket to integrate it more into the the lower molding. This raised it up another inch or so compared to your video. You can see the height difference in the screen grabs of your install versus mine. Bottom line, you can use this bracket to fabricate for you unique situation.

Thanks for the feedback and including the photos Steven! I'm happy you were able to modify this to fit your specific needs. What are you towing?
Works great to mount my plug.

Love the clean install. Where are you headed to next with the new addition?
Bracket is heavy gauge steal and powder coated. As it is a Universal bracket and not model specific it was a little too long for my application. I shortened it and it worked perfectly. I had been concerned about how one hose clamp could possibly hold it tightly to the hitch. It is very solid once tightened and not a concern at all.
Very solid well built mounting bracket.
I have bought from Etrailer before. An awesome American company. Sadly, with Trumps trade war tariffs, I will no longer be able to buy from American companies. Hope you get this fixed.
Everything went well in wring this up . My main gripe might be that I ordered the long bracket for the plug , but it wont work unless you have the other smaller bracket . This was not known to me. I just though the long bracket had the plug stick out farther than the short one. So now I either have to order a small bracket , or just bite the bullet and leave the plug attached to the hitch. These brackets should be sold together , not seperate.
2019 Outback Limited 3.6
Just completed installation of Echo stealth hitch, Curt 4 way T connector, 4 to 7 way universal trailer brake controller kit, and Redarc Liberty brake controller.
This was a fun and very straight forward project. The Etrailer videos were awesome.
I took my time and knocked it out a couple of hours over 3 days. Im recently retired so no rush.
While awaiting shipment I poked hole through rubber grommet inside engine bay. I then pushed a 3ft length of 1/4" drip irrigation tubing through to pull future brake controller wires into cabin. I had ordered the Curt 4 way T connector earlier so instalked that as well. Videos were great and made finding plug n play connection super fast and easy.
Once parts arrived, I instalked Echo hitch and universal 7 way adapter kit. I picked up a torque wrench at Harbor Freight for $30 which worked great. I needed one for tightening tugs anyway so it was great timing.
I ran the 7 way wiring down passanger side under plastic shield. It was easier than anticipated and virtually invisible. Most videos show mounting inline fuses near battery. With my 3.6 the passabger side was wide open so I opted to mount the fuses there. This required a trip to Home Depot for an additional 14 ft of 10 guage wire. This was used to run hot 2 wires from 40amp/29amp fuses to battery($9.00). Turns out that the irrigation tubing is the exact size for covering anchor bolts on inline fuse. Probably dont need them but keeps everything safe from accidental arching is crossed.
I taped together the white trailer brake wire running from back and the 20 amp output black wire from 20 amp fuse to the piece of drip tubing I previously pushed through gromnet. I added a touch of white grease and it slid through grommet like butter.
The final day I instalked Redarc controller. Installation is fairly straight forward especially after knocking out the dirty parts of install.
Honestly the most troublesome part of the entire project was identifying the cold brake pedal wire. These wires are minute. The key is having the right tools which I did not. Purchase a hook probe circuit tester and save yourself all the frustration. I watched many videos and there were multiple answers as to which wire is the correct wire. Dont guess or take soneones advice, verify. A hook probe tester like the instalkers use is worth $20. I ended up dropoing by my local uhaul that does custom hitch instalkations. Base labor price $60 which was totally worth it at that point. I saved a lit of $ DIY so I had the pro identify and connect controller to proper brakewure activated when pedal is pressed. I had it all open for him so he only charged me $20. Thank the Lord he was an honest cool guy.
After completing instalkation and powering up system the Redarc had no lights whatsoever. I calked Redarc and they had me check for power at black wire on input side, all good. I then disconbected both sides of controller, multi rmwire side and control knob side. After reinstalling the blue led indicator light fired up. Everything is back in place and working great. I dont have our trailer yet, but purchased a 4 way and 7 way tester and all systems are ready for launch!
I ended up mounting the control knob onto the fuse cover lid on left dashboard. This was just easy and simple. Added some tacky strips to hold cover securly.
This was a fun project and etrailer made it super easy. Items were delivered quickly and great quality. etrailer is my go to stop for everything towing.

It worked well on my round tube hitch. I used two stainless steel clamps instead of the one that was included. If I try to push down on it, the bracket would bend before it rotated on the hitch tube.
