Best 2020 Jeep Cherokee Hitch Adapters

I ordered this adapter from e-Trailer so I could extend my bike rack past my spare tire on my 2005 Honda CRV. This solved my problem and this thing is well made to take the weight. I'm glad I purchased from e-trailer because I know now that they sell quality products as I have also purchased a new receiver, ball mount and 2' ball to pull my trailer. If your goal is quality, great service and fast shipping then e-Trailer is one company to go with.

I would like to tell you about my experience with etrailer.com. I am a return customer because I always find what I need at reasonable prices, quick and inexpensive shipping charges. I ordered this for a 1999 GMC Safari to fit my new Draw Tite hitch. I use it for my bike rack which fits like a glove. I highly recommend etrailer.com. 2” or 4” up/down is the solution I needed for a flat tow, 4” lower drop and a 2 bike rack, 2” rise. Very well constructed and looking for years of service out of this drop/rise combination!

Needed a different drop hitch adapter due to new tow vehicle. I have ordered many items from etrailer.com in the past, so this was a natural place to begin my search. The price was fair and shipping arrived just as stated when I ordered. Would definitely purchase from etrailer.com again.

I use the extender on my bike rack so I can access my tailgate and truck bed with the rack on. It does what it supposed to do and looks barely used although I travel to trails twice a week.

I got this hitch extender to put on my camper so that I could mount my bike rack. It worked like a charm!! The bike rack and bike were super solid on the trip cross country!!

Product quality is fine, however, tried to use with an ebike rack on upper hitch and flat tow hitch on bottom. Vehicle sway at highway speeds was too much, and I found bike rack on back of the towed Jeep was better.

Works great. We're towing a jeep and have a bike rack behind our motor home.

The 4 foot hitch performed great. I bought the extra lenght to get it further behind my truck camper, I have a 3 foot hang over. The only problem was this made my 20 foot welded flat boat catch a lot of wind knocking my fuel milage way down. It also does not let my steps fold down. I should have gone with the 3 foot extension. live and learn.

Wow. Who would have believed I could have my heavy 11.5' Camper (which was well stocked, I should add) and pull a cargo trailer loaded with shop tools, workbench, and hardware. Handled well on highways through mountain passes, etc. Assembly and installation should have been much easier but the poor quality of the photos with the instructions was a bit of an impediment.

Rattle’s excessively when there is not a load. the dual hitch is great. I am able to tow my trailer and carry my bike rack

Great double hitch adapter! Very well made and strong!

It worked, till it didn't. It's a short smaller tube inside a larger tube, only held together by two spot welds. The spot welds split/detached allowing the inner sleeve free movement! I have a bike w stinger expanded to grip the inner tube and a little safety catch on outside. The safety catch was the only thing keeping my rack from sliding completely off! For the price this should've been a solid milled piece. Don't rely on these welds unless you have two through hitch pins one on car and one through the adapter end.

Based on an initial fit, the bike rack stinger is a bit loose in the reducer. If tightening the threaded pin does not reduce the wobble, I can add some shims since I intend to keep the reducer mounted on the bike rack. The reducer is an easy fit into the 2" receiver - the Quiet Hitch removed any movement.

Would purchase again little longer than expected

I would like to have the actual distance from the weld joint to the hitch pin hole of 4 1/2". This unit is slightly less than that.

My hitch extension bent and I was in desperate need for a replacement. etrailer and Adam made the process a breeze. We found the correct part, it was shipped out that day and arrived right on schedule. The customer Service and follow up have been outstanding!

It is not a perfect fit for Mercedes benz AMG63. It is smaller than the space inserted into. I have put lots of tapes around it to fit it so it doesn't move so much.

I was surprised by just how solid and heavy it was made. Just what I needed to move my Bobcat UTV hitch back to I can use it as my yard dog to shift my trailers around and not worry about the plastic tailgate nor the plastic bed getting damaged. The hitch sits under the bed and this extends it out so it is useable.

Product was delivered on-time as expected. This adapter is being used on a Volvo XC60 with a retractable receiver. Although it fit in the receiver the locking hitch pin did go all the way thru without a little brute force. Not sure if it is a receiver, adapter, or a hitch pin problem. Would have been nice to have a little more guidance.

The part was for a 2025 Volvo XC60. It fits perfectly with the Volvo’s tow hitch. I can now use my bike rack without an issue.

I have included some photos of the hitch extension. The first two are just on my truck without and with the extension. Without the extension, note the proximity of bike handlebars to the tailgate. In the second photo with the extension, the handlebars are much removed from the tailgate. Note that this is a ¾ ton truck with an insert in the receiver. With the insert in place, the front holes of extension did not align with the receiver. It was short 1/8 to 3/16 inch. If needed, I could solve this issue with a smaller bolt. The next photos are without and with the extension in the receiver of our RV. With the cover on RV the dramatic effect of extension is not so obvious. In the first photo without the extension, the handlebars of bike literally contact the back of RV. In contrast in the second photo, the handlebars are 5 to 6 inches from the back of the RV. Though there are no road trips yet, I am confident that the hitch extension will protect the bike and importantly will protect the back of the RV. I hope that these comments and photos are useful to you. If no, I can try again in spring when we remove cover from the RV.

Product is just what we needed and we put it to use immediately with no problems. It enables us to freely engage the rear lift door of our vehicle with my handicap scooter loaded on it's carrier. Great for us.

I have a Can Am Defender and the actual hitch is up under the back end so when I hooked up a trailer, I couldn't raise or lower the trailer without the crank handle hitting the tail gate, now I have plenty clearance and I love it.

Just received my 80307 Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 8" Long. My newly upsized spare tire had been preventing the use of my hitch rack. Was very pleased with the etrailer service and the ease of using the website. The excellent descriptions, photos, and even videos really help shopping for these types of specialty parts. Shipping went well and expediently. I trial fit the extension with my hitch rack today, and the photos are attached. It fit well and did the trick. I drove around and heard no rattles from it at all.
