Before we begin our test fit, we'll first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. The hitch height is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. We'll now begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. We'll secure it with a pin and clip. We'll then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform, getting a measurement of about eleven and three quarters inches. Now, if your vehicle's hitch height matches ours, and your trailer's ride height matches this measurement, this would be an appropriate ball mount for you. We can now flip the ball mount over into the rise position, and, again, measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform.
