Most Popular No Ball for 2009 Ford Explorer

Didn't realize that the unit came with a pin and clip so I ordered one. Now I have 2. No problem. Good product and it was delivered 2 days earlier than anticipated!

Good fit into the receiver. The hols for the ball was a little larger than I expected, so will have to get a new one.

Everything was as expected. Installation was a piece of cake after watching the very much appreciated video on etrailer.com. The hitch is very sturdy and fit like a glove. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great design, easy install. Runs a touch low but that's how the back of Ford Explorer is designed for after-market installs. I would have probably purchased a hitch with upright assembly if possible.

This hitch fits my Explorer great. My camping trailer & utility trailer now pull level. I only wish the hitch reached a little further into the receiver. It seems a little short to me.

As advertised at a good price. I need the drop down for my Ford Explorer, as the hitch receptacle on the bumper is too high for my trailer to be level without the drop. Works well.............

I needed a 6 inch drop ball mount for my new utility trailer. I knew that Etrailer would have a quality product to fit this. Curt is a great product.

I purchased this Curt Ball mount 10-1/4" because I also bought ball hitch mounted mud flaps and my existing hitch was too short.This hitch was maybe a little too long, but it should work.I hope this combination will protect my horse trailer from my nasty gravel roads!

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

Product came just as described and fit perfectly for what I needed. I used it for a hitch mounted on the frame of the rear of my fifth wheel rv. Hitch was mounted at the very end of the I-beam style frame i had on rv but I wasn't comfortable with the length of a standard size ball mount receiver. It needed to be longer. This product was exactly what I needed to complete my rv hitch setup. Thanks e-trailer !

Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.

Arrived today. Fast shipping, and thank you for that! Seems to be a quality ball mount. Just what I needed to get the ball lower to tow my trailer. With this, now the top of the ball is at 16" where it needs to be. Custom built receiver on my old moving box van. Just need to weld on safety chain slots and paint it. Can't drop the lift gate with the receiver in (its pinned on both sides), but hey....I can tow now.

Tow infrequently; got new(to us) 2015 RAM 2500 pick up to tow our 38’ touring travel trailer. Have a HD WD hitch & adjustable sway control hitch set up we use for this trailer, but needed a drop hitch for our smaller Travel trailer& misc use haul trailer,,,,both much lighter & do not require the sway control set up. This drop hitch & ball fit the bill perfectly as the needed drop did not provide suffice t ground clearances to utilize the WD hitch mount setup (which was not needed) for those smaller loads. E-trailer worked w us to get the product we needed & an option that was inexpenve but sufficiently rated to pull our smaller trailers! Very happy our results !

The Extra Long Ball Mount proved useful immediately upon receipt. Delivery was prompt, and the updates from etrailer.com helped plan transport of several bicycles, simultaneously with a camper trailer. The extended length facilitated use with a Swagman bicycle rack, also purchased via etrailer.com. The product arrived in excellent condition, with correct capacity rating, and works perfectly, and in conjunction with the bicycle rack. I recommend purchases from etrailer.

The Convert-A-Ball is made in USA, appears to be high quality and just what I was looking for. The Draw Bar however was made in China The Convert-A-Ball appears to be high quality, made in USA and just what I was looking for. I needed a Draw-Bar to fit 1 1/4" receiver and with 1" shank hole, but nearest I could find was this Draw-Bar with 3/4" hole, so will have to drill out this one. Also was made in China, which I try to avoid although the quality appears to be good. Wish I had known that the Draw-Bar came with its own Pin & Clip so I wouldn't have ordered that separately, so now I have 2. This why I gave only 4 stars. Otherwise am happy with the order.

Retail type stores only carry mainstream items so when I needed a special length ball mount for my 2011 Traverse I found the size and quality with Curt Products .

It looks like it will work OK. It fits and appears to be the right height for my utility trailer, but I did not get a pin to hold the unit into my receiver - just the product. The picture showed a pin and a clasp was included.

Easy to use and haven't had any trouble towing my small trailer with motorcycle on board. Def recommend.

I cannot use this ball mount because the shaft is too short that goes into hitch receiver on my one ton Dodge truck. It does not allow enough room between truck back bumper and ball to allow any trailer tongue to be put on ball.

I purchased this for use with a friction anti sway device I installed on an enclosed V nose trailer. It worked well.

Love these. This is my third one. Wouldnt pull a trailer with anything else. Trannys are expensive.

As a full-time RVer, e-shopping is very important for us. etrailer was the right place to shop. Right product, delivered on-time for a great price. You beat the local discount RV store by $25 including shipping. At the same time, I had another outfit send me a clearly inferior product to the one they displayed.
