Inno Velo Gripper Truck Bed

The space-saving Velo Gripper bike carrier lets you transport 1 bike in your truck bed. Because your bike sits along the side of your truck bed, you'll have plenty of room for everything else you need to haul. This carrier mounts easily onto the side rail of your truck bed, and ratcheting straps hold a bike of any shape or size by the seat stay and fork. Built-in D-rings act as tie-down spots so that you can secure your bike with a cable lock or secure other cargo with a bungee cord or tie-down strap.

Hassle-Free Bike Mounting

Inno Bike Mounting

Two ratcheting straps on adjustable rods hold one bike of any shape or size by the fork and seat stay - no need to remove your front wheel to mount your bike. The rods rotate so the holders can grab your bike from any angle. Rotating the rods also allows you to adjust the amount of space between your bike frame and the side of your truck bed. That way, you can position your bike close enough to the side of your truck bed to save space but not so close that your bike and truck bed make contact.

Simple Truck-Bed Installation

Inno Bike Mounting

The Velo Gripper installs without drilling onto your truck bed. To install, place the included protective plates on top of your truck bed rail to prevent the mounting brackets from scuffing or scratching the paint. Then, position the mounting brackets over the protective plates. Tighten the clamps down with the eye bolts to complete installation.

Space-Saving Design

Inno Space Saving

Your bike will rest on both wheels in its normal upright position on the inside of your truck bed. This mounting style leaves most of your truck bed open to carry other gear. You can position your bike at the front or the rear of your truck bed to help reduce the potential for the bike to roll. This not only reduces pressure on the Velo Gripper but also saves space in your truck bed.

D-Ring Attachments

Inno D Ring

Each clamp has an attached D-ring that enables you to use tie-down straps with or without your bike mounted. Loop a a cable lock with a maximum diameter of 3/4" (sold separately) through the D-rings or the eye bolts and through your bike frame to lock the carrier to your truck and your bike to the carrier. A 5' - 6' long cable is recommended for locking your bike and both clamps. When you're not transporting a bike, these D-rings make great tie-down spots for securing other gear in your truck.

We have two bikes. I ordered one bike rack because I was unsure about how the rack would work with my mini folding E bike. After installing and checking the regular bike I checked the E bike. No problem. The gripper works great. The quality is good and it has the ability to adjust how far the bike sits from the truck’s rail. I ordered the 2nd rack online and within 20 minutes received a call from etrailer asking if it was a duplicate order. I appreciated their call and concern while explaining why I now was ordering another gripper. Great product and great customer service.

After a year using the Gripper Bike Rack I am still impressed with this product. The rack holds our two bikes securely and takes a minimal amount of time to strap them in. Love them and would advise anyone with a pu truck to look into purchasing them.

by:

I was tired of taking off the front wheel every time I wanted to mount my bike in my truck bed with a fork mount. I was impressed with the product video and thought I would give it a try. I admit to being a bit skeptical about the security of the mount but delighted to report that the bike position is solid as a rock. Installation and use is a snap. Great product and great value.

It remains my perfect truck bed solution. Just check tightness occasionally.

by:

I ordered 2 racks. It took a little while to get the clamps in place and tightened down primarily because my truck has a 5 1/2 foot bed and the bikes are longer than that. Once I got the placement right I was able to clamp the bikes in place without taking off the front wheels. Tested the security on a rough road and the bikes stayed solidly in place. I have more room in the bed now the bikes are closer to the side of the truck than before. The racks are going work well for us.

We use these racks every time we travel. I highly recommend them. Well worth the money

by:

We take our ebikes when camping, but because the RV uses the truck hitch, are not able to use a rack. Tailgate keepers allow too much movement of bikes plus they are susceptible to rocks and other road damage. We ordered the Inno Gripper hoping to carry the bikes inside the truck bed. As with most ebikes in a standard truck bed, they are too long to fit straight in, so the front wheel must be turned in order to fit the bikes and shut the tailgate. As a result, the front frame is several inches further from the side, so the gripper doesn't reach the frame. I found the dimensions of the threaded rod and replaced with one several inches longer so the gripper would extend to the bike. Voila! Our ebikes are securely attached to the truck bed with virtually no movement. We've traveled nearly a thousand miles with our ebikes safely secured by the Inno Velo Gripper and couldn't be happier. Even friends who previously used tailgate keepers or racks have switched to the gripper as it secures the expensive bikes so much better than other options. etrailer did not have the longer rods, so I purchased on [online]. Inno really should make extended rods available as an option as everyone I know has an issue with bike length in their truck bed (the reason they go with tailgate keepers and racks). It took me a long time to find the properly threaded rod and extra couplers.

Still working well! We have travelled over 15,000 miles with the Grippers to this point!

by:

Easy to install Could be deeper C channel to make adaptation with a Leer cover a bit better.
They look great and very adaptable to any size bike frame

by:

They seem to work great. Got here in a day. Were going to order another set for ou e-bikes.

by:

First, trailer is a great place. Very good customer service with staff helping to choose products and why. Second: this is the best in-bed bike rack type product I’ve seen and I’ve researched. Simple to both install and use. Highly recommended.

by:

High build quality but the the straps are too short for a mountain bike. This Prevents where you can attach it to the bike. This product would be 5 stars if the strap were an inch longer.

by:

I love these bike holders. They work perfect.
I
even ordered another set, so i could haul two bikes in my F-150.

by:

I ordered these grip clamps so we could transport our electric bikes upright in the back of our truck. And I am very happy with them. They are well made, easy to install and even stay secure when going through the car wash. I highly recommend them.

by:

Great product money well spent! Little bit of a challenge to figure out how I was going to make it work with a pickup with a toolbox in the back especially having a Fat Tire Bike but the flexibility of the clamps makes it very easy to find a location to hold up my bike. Looks dope and works great easy on easy off. Note to self when the clamps are on Mark the edges with a marker or paint pen so this way when you take the clamps off you can put them right in the same spot and you don't have to worry about figuring out where they go again

by:

These clamps are beefier than expected, easy to install, and hold bike very firmly in place. One drawback is that with my bike and truck size, the hold down strap on the seat bar hits where the derailleur is clamped to the bar. So I had to raise the RT201 with a small wood block.

by:

This is my second purchase from etrailer and both have been seamless. Great communication, pkg arrives in its' original box expertly wrapped inside a shipping box. Product arrived as claimed and is more heavy duty than I'd have thought. etrailer pricing is excellent and less than other online sites! Easy install. Most difficult part of the install was finding the "voids" in the 2018 F250 bedside allowing the handle to tighten/loosen w/o rubbing the bedside. Still only took about 15 min. Great product from a reputable distributor-highly recommend both!

by:

I am disappointed that they don’t hold my bikes better than they do. I still have to strap them down so they don’t fall out. They are pretty expensive for what you get. I need to modify them so they will actually work. Not really what I was expecting to do, but I need to so my bikes are secured.

I would like to see what is going on with your bike and the Velo Gripper. Would you be able to send pictures of your bike installed with the Velo and the additional straps that are needed?

by:

The 201 bike holder is top quality. It is built strong, with metal components. After testing my first one, I did not hesitate to buy another for my wife's bike. Installation takes about 5 minutes and will remain where you put it. To secure them, simply run a cable through some loops. I recommend this solution for those cyclists who don't want to drill holes in their truck beds.

BTW, shipping was fast!

by:

Great product that works as advertised. I have a 2018 f150 5.5’ box. I have used this twice to transport my bike and the bike is really secured well. I have to leave my tailgate down as the bike comes out of the bed maybe an inch or 2. The wheel well in my bed does slightly get in the way when screwing in the eye bolt but once in place it hold the bike perfectly. I do use a stretch cord also due to the fact that the tailgate must be left down.

by:

I’m a senior and was searching for ways to transport our ebikes without having to lift them. Fortunately I found the Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack for Truck Beds and installed them on my utility tilt trailer. They work great, were easy to install and no lifting onto a car mounted bike rack needed.

by:

They totally stabilized the bikes just as advertised. Additionally, they guve unlimited flexibility to vehicle and bike.

by:

Fast shipping as usual thank you

by:

Bought these for my e-bike. They easily attach to the bed of my truck and securely hold my bike without any additional straps. I have traveled across country twice with them and have had no issues! Very easy to use.

by:

Using the Grippers for carrying 2 ebikes, weighing 55 & 75 lbs. I know this is above the rated bike weights but so far they have performed well. My short bed keeps the 75# bike pretty well locked in front to back so that may help.

Still working well, weve had no issues on multiple long distance trips.

by:

I was looking for something to anchor two fairly heavy ebikes in the back of a pickup with topper. The design was good, but the stock holding rods were too short to keep the handlebars from banging the side windows. I used some all-thread and coupler to extend. Works great.

by:

Not too bad. The fact that they only hand tighten to the truck bed causes them to loosen over time. Be sure to double check the under rail connection for tightness before heading out on a long road trip.

by:

Your website stated that the Velo Gripper Bike Rack does not fit the Jeep Gladiator. Looking at the device, I figured I could finesse it. It doesn’t fit perfectly but will work with a little effort and pateice. Thanks! Holds my fat tire bike securely.

by:

Perfect for what we wanted. We didn't want our e-bikes bouncing on the back of our vintage (1973) Airstream. We also didn't want to put them inside the TT, as we only stop for one night when traveling long distances and didn't want to deal with unloading them. And we didn't want to deal with installing tie-downs inside the TT. The e-bike frames didn't hang over the tailgate plus we need to lower the tailgate to get equipment out without removing the bikes. 2013 F250. Will report back if we have a different opinion after this fall's 5000+ mile trip.

I may be able to provide you with some options to carry your bike and trike, but I will need some more information from you. I need the make and models of your bike and trike. Most importantly, I need the weights of your e-bike and trike and the wheelbase of your trike and its length. Most of our e-bike racks max out at 60 lbs per bike, so your least expensive options are going to be either the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR, with a capacity of 70 lbs per bike, or the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR, with a capacity of 80 lbs per bike -- both over budget.
