Can Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack Hole Bike By Wheel
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/19/2025 >
Question:
I see if your bike is too long for the truck bed, you have the tail gate down. Can you turn the bike around and angle the front tire and attach the gripper to the wheel so I can close the tailgate?

Hi Wayne; you can turn the wheel on your bike to gain more clearance but the Inno Velo Gripper Bike Rack # INRT201 will still need to connect to the fork or frame to keep it secure. Attaching it to the wheel would allow for movement so the bike wouldn't be secure if it is mounted that way. I suppose if the wheel is wedged to a point it wouldn't move it will likely hold it without an issue but I can't recommend it.
