Hello neighbors. I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at these Tab Covers for your Roadmaster Crossbar and Direct Connect Base Plates. Folks, these will block dirt and debris from getting into your tabs of your Roadmaster Crossbar or the Direct Connect Base Plate. They are constructed of a durable steel with a nice stylish black finish. You can see the tabs here and everything.
They're gonna pop right in, those ears there will help hold it in place whenever you don't have the tow bar in place. You get two with this purchase with a limit lifetime warranty and they are made here in the US. Now, a couple dimensions here real quick. We're getting one and a half by one and one quarter. The outside is two and a quarter by two and a quarter.

I give etrailer the 5 stars. The order was processed in one day and was shipped out the same day as processed. I didn't like the price of the product but etrailer was over-all the cheapest (with shipping) that I found. I'd give Roadmaster 1 star for overcharging for the product.
Very, very satisfied. They change the whole look of the front of the car - no more open squares - no more rust. I needed advice on sizing as my husband told me to get 1 5/8". We asked for assistance from eTrailer.com, & was was told to get the 1 1/4", which were a perfect fit!!! Now instead of paying $40-50.00 each for our team emblems, we will pay less than $20.00 as we will buy 'auto emblems' to glue onto these covers. Really, really happy.
Etrailer's handling of this purchase was excellent. They kept me informed, service was fast, and the product was pretty much what I expected. My only disappointment is in the design of the product. The design would be dramatically improved if the shape of the exposed surface of the cover actually was in the shape of the tow bracket being covered! Such a design would also cover up the safety chain holes on either side of the tow bracket.

Excellent quality and fit. Wife couldn't be happier. Made of heavy grade metal. The tongues lock them securely in the tow bar channels. I also bought a spare breakaway key for the breakaway switch. Matched original perfectly. You never know when you may need it.
Perfect fit to cover and stop debris and insects from entering the open baseplate.
Protects and gives a finished look. Keeps road debris out of tge receiver tube. Great accessory.

1 year later and everything is still great. No issues with any items. Have towed around 10,000 since install.
These plugs work great to keep dirt out of the base plate square tubes. Because they are metal they are durable and they also dress up the front end a bit.

After a year they are not rusting and that is a big statement because I live in Ohio with lots of salt on the roads. Also they stay in place but the Spring they are easy to remove.
Purchased the roadmaster receiver inserts. Impressed with the way they dress up the front of my jeep. No more rust or dirt issues. I actually purchased enough sets to give to other camping members that have the same issue. Price was reasonable since these items are not available in my area. Shipping was quick. Already looking at additional items to purchase for my jeep. More reasonable than purchasing from jeep dealer.
Nice metal construction with tight fit. Looks good and hides the ugly receiver and accompanying rust. Glad I got it.

After a year, the tabs still look and work great.
