When you’re setting up for serious flat towing, you want hardware that holds steady mile after mile. This base plate bolts directly to the chassis with no welding required and uses a sturdy design that spreads towing forces evenly to prevent stress on your suspension. The steel construction is powder coated to resist rust and corrosion, so it stays solid and dependable even after long hauls.
Nobody wants bulky brackets hanging off the front when not towing. The low-profile reinforcements on this setup stay tucked away so that only the attachment tabs are visible. It keeps the front end neat while still giving you secure hookup points when it’s time to tow.
If you already have a tow bar setup, this base plate makes it easy to connect and go. The sturdy lugs pair directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure and reliable link. It’s also adaptable for use with Roadmaster tow bars using adapter RM-031 or RM-031-5, or with Demco tow bars using adapter DM9523041 (each sold separately).
This kit is designed for a simple, no-weld setup that bolts securely to your frame using the included mounting hardware. With its straightforward design, it’s well suited for DIY installers who like to tackle their own projects. Specs include a 24" distance between brackets, bracket height of 23-1/2", and a 3-year warranty for added assurance once it’s in place.

Thanks for your review, Richard! It sounds like this was a fairly involved installation, but we're glad to hear everything came together successfully in the end. We appreciate you sharing the details of your process, especially the tips about the tight frame rail clearance and drilling challenges, as those insights may help other RV owners tackling the same project. Thanks for including the photo as well. Your finished installation looks great! Now that it's installed and you're moving on to the diode kit and brake away switch, what adventure are you looking forward to most this summer in your RV?

Glad the install went smoothly, Grant! Even with those weird handle nuts (which I agree are kind of odd). What's the first trip you have planned? And I will let Alex know what you said as well! : )
