Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Trimax resettable combination cable lock. This heavy duty cable lock is going to let you secure your gear easily to your bike rack, roof rack and more, deterring would-be thieves from stealing your equipment. Now, I do have this coiled up a little bit here with a cable tie, just to keep it a little more manageable for our demonstration purposes. But this cable is 10' long and it's a heavy duty braided steel cable, and it's strong, and it's gonna be difficult to cut. And as you can see, it is covered in a vinyl coating that's going to keep this steel cable from scratching up your bike and your other gear that it's protecting.
And it's also going to protect that cable from corrosion. The four digit combination lock is easy to set, and it can be easily reprogrammed as needed. As you can see, I have it set to all zeros right now, but this comes out of the box with the combination set at 0, 0, 0, 1. And so once I have that combination set, I can easily pull the cable out of the lock. And this is going to be easy to reset to your own combination code.
And to do that, you're just going to pull, as we did, pull out the pin, and then you're gonna turn the collar one digit counter clockwise. And so I'm gonna go ahead and pull that off. And then we are going to slide all four of these lock wheels off. And then what you wanna do, is you wanna line up your new code on these black set marks. So I'm gonna go ahead and set this for something that I can easily remember.
We're gonna go with 1, 2, 3, and you guessed it, 4. So that's gonna be our new combination. And then I'm gonna replace this collar and turn it clockwise one digit. And so our new combination is 1, 2, 3, 4. We're gonna slide our pin back in, and then I'm just gonna adjust this by one digit here, and it is locked.
So then I'm gonna go ahead and set our combination back to 1, 2, 3, 4, and it is unlocked. So that's how easy this is to set up your own combination. And this heavy duty collar is locked. It is theft deterrent, and the steel construction with the triple plated chrome finish is corrosion resistant. Now, this also comes with, let me go ahead and move these dials this way, this also comes with a protective lock cover that's going to protect the lock from water and debris, and keep it safe and in good condition. So again, this cable length is 10 feet long. The cable diameter is 5/16ths of an inch, and this does have a limited lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
