Question:

What is the difference between Blue Ox baseplate BX 2914 and BX2913 BLU86HR. I know that the first one is for 2025 Maverick and the second is for 2024 , but they look exactly the same. Dimensions for the tabs are the same arent they really interchangeable ?

Hi Mark; we originally carried these over but both Roadmaster and Blue Ox found there was some kind of sensor issue that required a redesign for the 2025. I can assure you that these companies would not take the time to design a new base plate if the one for the 2024 fit without any issues.

Demco also designed a new base plate for the 2025 which further proves the 2024 designs are not identical. If you have a 2025 Ford Maverick and want to use a Blue Ox base plate the only option is the # BLU94ER. If you already have the # BLU86HR for the 2024 I would try to sell it to recoup some of the cost.
